00:00It's been a sunny old week and the sunshine will continue through the weekend.
00:04But then, for many of us, so will that fairly frustrating, nagging wind,
00:08all thanks to high pressure sitting to the north.
00:10Deep area of low pressure sitting to the south.
00:12Storm Nuri, named by the Spanish Weather Service,
00:15bringing wet and windy conditions to Iberia.
00:18We've got high pressure drawing down the winds across the North Sea,
00:21which is why it feels colder than it looks.
00:25That breeze will also generate a bit of low cloud drifting in from the North Sea
00:29across central and eastern England and eastern Scotland through the night,
00:32making for a bit of a grey start to Saturday.
00:35Clear skies over central Scotland will allow a frost.
00:38We could get down to minus three, maybe minus four through some sheltered glens.
00:42Towns and cities generally holding up above freezing.
00:45And temperatures holding up quite a bit across west Wales and southwest England.
00:49Could be quite gusty here though through the night, particularly north Wales,
00:52northwest England could see some lively gusts of wind.
00:54And that breeze coming in from the east on the northeast
00:57will be noticeable again tomorrow.
01:00It'll be quite noticeable the low cloud first thing over the Midlands,
01:03perhaps east Wales, eastern England.
01:05But it should melt away by mid to late morning.
01:08We're looking at sunny skies for the vast majority.
01:10Always a threat at this time of year with a breeze from the east of some harm
01:14and fret drifting onto the coast at times.
01:17But for the majority, think dry, think sunny,
01:21but also think before you head out because it isn't as warm as it looks.
01:25Temperatures could still squeak up to 20 Celsius across parts of southwest England
01:29and south Wales, a degree or so down across these western areas
01:34compared to Friday's values.
01:36But certainly feeling pretty chilly on some of those North Sea coasts,
01:38particularly if that harm or fret does persist.
01:41And a cooler feel across the east Midlands, east Anglia and the southeast.
01:45Temperatures here three or four degrees lower compared to Friday afternoon.
01:50It'll feel colder again because of that wind, which continues to nag
01:53and continues to blow through Saturday evening,
01:56perhaps easing a little on Saturday night.
01:58A subtle shift in the wind means we'll see the low cloud returning inland
02:02over eastern Scotland, maybe northeast England,
02:04but not so much over the Midlands and eastern England.
02:08So a sunnier start to Sunday here, but it will be a colder start.
02:11Temperatures falling more widely down close to freezing.
02:14Gardeners take note.
02:15Yes, it's a good weekend to get out in the garden,
02:17but you don't want to be planting too many delicate plants
02:20because there is still a possibility of frosts,
02:23certainly from the Midlands northwards and even further south.
02:26The possibility, particularly going to next week.
02:29But again, for most places, it is a good looking day on Sunday.
02:33Plenty of fine and sunny weather.
02:35Again, the possibility of that hard sticking across parts of the coast
02:38and particularly over Shetland.
02:40But for most places, it's going to be a sunny day,
02:43hazy that sunshine in a few places.
02:45But the breeze not as strong across the south.
02:48Temperatures, though, also not quite as high.
02:50We'll probably peak at 60, maybe 17, but generally 14 or 15 Celsius.
02:55And again, where you've got that wind off the North Sea,
02:57it'll feel pretty chilly throughout the course of the weekend.
03:02The high pressure and the sunnier skies will continue well into next week.
03:06Good news if you're on holiday, Easter holiday,
03:09starting in many schools, of course.
