00:00When before my very eyes I see Cheetos materialize. Here's a look at the Jada
00:05Toys. This is the Cheetos Chester Cheetah action figure.
00:24From your favorite crunchy snack line Cheetos comes the iconic Chester Cheetah.
00:29The Cheetos Chester Cheetah six-inch action figure features stylish kicks,
00:33sleek shades, and paws covered in Cheeto dust from all the obvious munching.
00:36Accessories include realistic sized Cheeto, a bag of Cheetos, two times
00:40alternate hands, and alternate head. This authentic and officially licensed fully
00:44articulated action figure comes with a unique Cheetos packaging. While it's
00:49cool daddy-o, rocks on the patio. Let's take the tape measure and see how tall
00:53the Jada Toys Cheetos Chester Cheetah stands. I had ordered this originally
00:57from Entertainment Earth. It was selling for $24.99. I hate to be the bearer of
01:00the bad news. It has those sold out. It right now is on a back order so if you
01:04guys are interested you can click the link down below in the video description.
01:06Jada Toys not only is planning to release a regular Chester Cheetah but
01:09they were also as well going to be doing a Cheetos flaming hot glow-in-the-dark
01:12Cheetah as well. I think that one actually is gonna be going for about
01:16$5 more. So instead of being $24.99 it's selling for $29.99.
01:20Let's get right down to measuring. Chester Cheetah, if I'm looking at this
01:24correctly, is gonna stand at about five and a quarter inches in height.
01:26Translating yes to a figure that's about 14 centimeters tall. Certainly not my
01:31first Cheeto and certainly not my first pickup from Jada Toys. Of all the things
01:34that Jada has produced whether it be the Mega Man figure series or they've also
01:37done as well the cereal mascots. I'm gonna at least slide over Chester here.
01:41I'm gonna bring in though a mascot not necessarily from a chip brand but from a
01:45cereal brand. Here's what the figure looks like with Frankenberry. You're
01:48probably not gonna be though displaying the figures together but at least it
01:51gives you an idea of how well Jada Toys have been knocking out of the park when
01:54it comes to mascots, snacks or cereals. Keeping the space next to the cool cat
01:58open so we can bring in the packaging. It comes included with Chester. The thing I
02:01really like about the packaging is first of all you have Chester feature on the
02:03front. It looks like he's skateboarding while I'm in some overly sized Cheetos
02:07but what's really cool though is if you look at the side of the packaging
02:10instead of having nutritional facts you're not gonna find anything
02:13nutritional inside of a bag of Cheetos but it has instead action figure facts.
02:17Serving size is one figure. One figure per container. One 12 scale. Accessories
02:21include and instead of having again the breakdown nutrition you get one alternate
02:25hand head, two hands, one Cheeto bag or one Cheeto and one bag. The collector
02:31quality paint is a hundred percent. Collector quality sculpt is also a
02:34hundred percent. I could probably agree with that and also points of
02:36articulation feature down below and then what's it looks like on the back of the
02:39box as well. Very very cool box. The coolness doesn't just end there though.
02:44What also comes in clear with this cat? The figure does also have a bag of
02:48Cheetos. It is a hard bag. I prefer though the crunchier Cheetos. I'm not really
02:53sure the name of them but like Cheezy's generally like the puffs of cheese. I
02:57don't really like those. Also they get all over your hands as well. Cheetos like
03:00the crunchier variety. I do like those. Just gonna give you a comparison though.
03:04Here's the box of Frankenberry. I guess scaled pretty good. I mean if that's like
03:09a snack size bag of Cheetos and that's a regular full-size serving box of
03:13Frankenberry, I guess it's pretty close. I guess that not not bad at all. The
03:18figure does also have the means to hold the bag of Cheetos in his hands. The
03:21figure does also have some some swappable hands. Here's one thing I
03:25thought was really kind of cool here and I'm actually gonna just move Chester
03:28back and in the middle frame here. He has designated hands for holding both the
03:32bag of Cheetos and holding for the full-size Cheeto that comes included
03:36with the figure as well. The thing that's cool about it though is that the hands
03:39are different from one another. So like this hand here that's designed for
03:43specifically holding the bag, you just put the hand or you put the bag inside
03:46the hand and I'm just gonna have to kind of clip it back in place here and it
03:51holds pretty well. But you have to kind of push it really in there and while
03:54he's holding the bag of Cheetos on the one side, which as you can see as well
03:57has the nutritional facts, you won't find anything on Cheetos. It holds it really
04:01well. This hand though you can see has some of the Cheetle dust. No, not Dan
04:06Cheetle. Some of the dust though on there but obviously if you've been holding and
04:09carrying around Cheetos in your hands, you're gonna have all this dust kind of
04:12settling on it. He comes included with a regular-sized Cheeto. I think it's a
04:16pretty good size. Kind of actually looks like a caveman club. That's the kind of
04:21Cheeto I'm all for. Flaming Hot Cheetos is not really my thing, not my
04:24biz, but if you guys certainly like flaming Cheetos, you can let me know down
04:27below. But what's cool though about this is that he can hold the Cheeto and the
04:31hand that's specifically for holding this ends up leaving behind some
04:35Cheetle dust. That's dust coming from a Cheeto by the way. Yeah, so it fits it
04:40right into his hand and it's only really on this hand. The other hand
04:43that's holding the bag doesn't have any of the Cheetle dust on there. How cool is
04:47that? Now again, if you did want to swap out the hands, the figure does have
04:50already a gestured hand. Kind of like a surfs up sort of hand. He also has this
04:55hand too. Now this is a pointing hand that also has some of the Cheetle dust
04:58there on his fingers and his thumb. If you did want to swap out the hands
05:02though, super easy to do. You basically just twist the hand, make it a good... you
05:07can make a little sound effect while you're certainly doing as well, and take
05:10in the new hands and you plug it in place. So there's the one with the Cheeto.
05:13Let's also take this hand off. I think probably when displaying this guy on the
05:17shelf, I'm gonna be displaying him with the Cheeto on one side and maybe giving
05:20again the more dynamic hand on the other. For a second though, I had to kind of
05:24count the digits. It kind of looks like he's flipping the bird. Anyways though,
05:27let's go ahead and just remove the other hand here. Take the hand that we want to
05:30have with the bag of Cheetos and just plug it in place. That's all that's
05:34required. One thing though you really have to be careful of though is his
05:37whiskers. I'm gonna talk more about that in a moment, but again just to get the
05:40bag of Cheetos in his hand. There we go. Now he's got a snack on one side, a full
05:45sized Cheeto on the other. The only other thing that he comes in clear with as
05:48well is that the figure does also have an alternate head portrait. Now this
05:52technically isn't a head that he comes out of the packaging with. I wanted to
05:55change things up with his more neutral expression first before we got to the
05:58more exaggerated face. One thing I really think is cool again is that Chester
06:02Cheeto does have the glasses on there. You can't actually see any eyes behind
06:06it. One thing I didn't really like though is that Cheetos brought back
06:09Chester Cheeto with later commercials, but then they made him old. I mean nobody
06:12really wants to see that see their heroes grow old and Chester Cheeto for
06:16me was like a beloved favorite mascot. I loved watching the Chester Cheeto
06:19commercials growing up as a kid. So again like he does have this alternate
06:23well he has this alternate head sculpt which I'm kind of starting the review
06:26with. It's really well painted too. The whiskers though seem like they're made
06:30of metal. Like they're more like a wire than they are plastic. If this was
06:33plastic you probably wouldn't be able to do this. You can see kind of the way
06:37that they've been embedded into the plastic of the side of his jowl. I think
06:40that is the jowl of the cat. You want to be careful though especially when it
06:43comes to removing the head that you don't put pressure on the sides of the
06:46whiskers. You'd hate to squeeze those whiskers because that's a sensory side
06:50of the cat. That's how the cat basically knows its surroundings. What you can
06:54though do is if we want to swap this head out instead for this head sculpt
06:58which is very actually similar. If you're looking at the top the shades seem to be
07:01the exact same. The only thing that's different is he's smiling on one. He's
07:04not on the other. I thought the head would be kind of hard to change. It's not
07:08it's not hard at all. In fact actually as you can see you just
07:11pop it very easily off the ball joint. Take the new head that you want to use
07:14and pop it back in place. I want to make sure of course when you're putting it
07:18pushing it down in place kind of hold it from the front and hold it from the back.
07:21Don't hold it from the sides and that's what he looks like then with the
07:24alternate head sculpt. Yeah you know what I like this one. I might though just end
07:27up deciding to display this guy with just the regular neutral expression.
07:30That's just me. For the rest of the figure though let's just kind of get his
07:34accessories out of the way here. Chester Cheetah. I hate to be you know as well
07:37being the bearer of the bad news. He's not wearing any clothes if that offends
07:41you at all. He's not wearing any clothes but he's certainly though wearing a nice
07:44pair of sneakers. The thing that I think is really fun though is on the bottom of
07:47the sneakers he has cat paws. The sneakers do have some matching oranges
07:51as well that match pretty well to the rest of his body. He isn't just though
07:54straight the straight orange as you can see on the front. Actually in fact if
07:58you look on the back of the figure's body he has these like kind of lighter
08:00airbrushed areas that they've added to the tops of his shoulders. Kind of the
08:03backs of his arms and the down below in his behind as well. So there's nice a
08:06little bit of color variations added into the figure as well. Got some nice
08:10spots painted in there too. Of course he got the black on the end of the tail.
08:13That's also poseable too. He's a really well constructed figure too. Like for a
08:17figure too that you would think would be a little bit more lean. A little
08:21bit more straggly just because again he's got long skinny limbs. Poseability
08:26wise like the figure feels quite durable. He doesn't feel like overly loose in any
08:29of those areas. Now for the figure's poseability starting first with Chester
08:33Cheetah's head. It's gonna be in a bulge right? So not only again does it rotate
08:36well technically all the way around if you really want to. Head's gonna look up,
08:39look down, back and forth. Yeah all those things. He has a just a regular swivel
08:44though in his waist so when you're swiveling unfortunately it's gonna lose
08:46some of the illusion of his furry tummy. The figure does also have we can bring
08:51his arms out a T pose. A successful T pose. You can easily get this guy out with
08:5590 degrees. The arms do rotate all the way around. Just watch those whiskers.
08:59Watch those whiskers. A single hinge in the elbow. The arms though rotate back
09:04and forth. A nice little tuft that they've sculpted on the elbows there.
09:07The hands also rotate all the way around whether you want to use these elbows or
09:10not. You'll notice too that they've also used hinge joints in the same color as
09:13his arms. You may also experience this too. There was a little bit of paint
09:17build-up here. I had to just scrape a little bit of it away before I started to move
09:21forward with a review. A hinge back and forth. Oh for the hands you can rotate
09:24them all the way around. The legs easily split out. They're on ball joints.
09:29Take him forward. Move him forward. Move him back. All that stuff. You can swivel it at the
09:32top of the thigh. Single hinge on the knee. Lower leg also rotates and there's
09:36also some decent toe articulation too. I was expecting it to have a little bit
09:39more limitations but no. Yeah you can move his toe up and down. His foot up and
09:44down and there's a nice little ankle rocker there as well. I'm not sure how
09:47sold I am on the idea of getting the flaming hot Cheetos both as a snack and
09:51Chester Cheetah. Ideally though for me I think I'd be happy just to get the one
09:55Chester Cheetah because again like if the differences between the two prices
09:59the flaming hot Chester Cheetah which actually is gonna be again going for
10:03$29.99. It's starting actually I think it's gonna be dropping this month too
10:06March 2025. It's not to say it's not available in other outlets but I'd order
10:10this though from Entertainment Earth. The regular Chester Cheetah was again selling
10:13for $24. The flaming hot Chester Cheetah glow-in-the-dark right now as a
10:17pre-order it's going for $29.99. Will I invest really in the idea of getting
10:21that because again I think it has pretty much the same accessories too. Probably
10:25has a full-size replica of the Chester Cheetah Cheeto and it also of course
10:28comes included with a bag of Cheetos. I don't think that's gonna be changing at
10:31all. Love though the look of Chester Cheetah. I think that's really cool too
10:35is that I know I mentioned this earlier into the review as well. The fact the
10:38fact that they've actually dedicated the hands for so the one hand that's gonna
10:42be holding the bag doesn't have any the Cheetle dust. No not Dan Cheetle on the
10:46one side but the one that's actually holding the Cheeto on the other does
10:49actually have some of the Cheetle dust and I think that was cool the fact that
10:52that Jada Toys when it came to designing Chester Cheetah like that
10:55specifically had that in mind when it came to which hand is holding which
10:59accessory. Not a super new figure but a super cool figure nonetheless. Chester
11:03Cheetah was one I still wanted to get my hands on and finally then when I saw
11:07Entertainment Earth had one in stock I pulled the trigger right away and wanted
11:10to add this guy to my shopping cart for a $25 figure. The one thing I really want
11:14to commend though Jada Toys is for the prices of what they're selling their
11:16figures for. It was certainly the case when we looked at the Mega Man figures
11:19it's also been as well the case when we've looked at a General Mills cereal
11:23mascots. The prices that they keep these figures for something like this if you
11:27were think of like an SH Figure Arts Chester Cheetah could easily set you
11:30back about $100 or so but Jada Toys though again selling these for $25
11:35Chester Cheetah selling for $25.99 a $26 figure for what you're getting with this
11:38figure not bad at all. I was kind of also thinking too like I would love to see
11:43them branch off and do other mascots maybe not necessarily related to snacks
11:47but I was also thinking Spot if anybody remembers no not not this not this spot
11:51Spot from 7-Up yeah would be pretty again I'm probably kind of thinking more
11:55like the 80s and 90s mascots myself because just because I'm an old guy but
12:00yes Spot from 7-Up and I was also thinking Mac Tonight from McDonald's I
12:03don't know what licensing they have for McDonald's but a Mac Tonight of this
12:07size with the same levels of poseability yes please. Now I did say though that the
12:12regular release of Chester Cheetah is currently on a back order on
12:15Entertainment Earth for the $25.99 you can certainly click the link down below
12:18in the video description that will take you over to the listing if you guys are
12:21interested as for though the Flaming Hot Glow-in-the-Dark release of Chester he's
12:25gonna be slated to drop in March 2025 for again about five dollars more four
12:29five four or five dollars more not really sure if I'm gonna end up pulling
12:33the trigger again on that Chester but again I say that now watch me end up
12:37doing a review of the Flaming Hot version of him because I think he's
12:40gonna have not only is he gonna be glowing-in-the-dark he's also gonna have
12:42a darker color scheme of the orange not quite the orange that we're seeing right
12:46now what do you guys think of Chester Cheetah let me know down below in the
12:48comment section what other mascots would you like to see Jada Toys release next
12:52it could be maybe a cereal mascot it could be a snack mascot could be
12:55something from the 80s could be something from the 90s it could be
12:57something right now what would you like to see Jada Toys release next if you
13:01guys also did enjoy this video do it a solemn throw to like you guys wanna
