00:10Victoria Ann Riverview is on for Military Monday and honoring her husband Hunter.
00:15Good morning, Victoria. How are you?
00:17Good morning. I'm good. How are you guys doing?
00:19We are great. So tell us about Hunter. Which branch does he serve in and where is he serving currently?
00:23All right. Well, he is in the Air Force.
00:26He has been active duty for the last six years and about to re-enlist.
00:30Right now we are stationed at MacDill and our first duty station, we were in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Kirtland.
00:36And he just got back from a deployment, right?
00:38Yes. So he just got back from South Korea. It's called a short tour.
00:42It's a year long, even though I don't know why they call him short.
00:45I don't like a short tour.
00:48Yeah.
00:48Yeah. I mean, that's got to be tough, right?
00:50Yeah. It was hard. We have two children.
00:52So he missed our daughter's, you know, first everything, walking, talking, birthday.
00:58Oh, no.
00:58Yeah.
00:59Yeah.
01:00Well, were you able to send him videos of these kind of moments, though, at least?
01:04Yeah, of course. He had his phone and everything.
01:07Got it.
01:07But the only thing that was really hard was when it was daytime over here, it was nighttime there.
01:12And he was a whole day ahead.
01:14Gotcha.
01:15So it was really tough.
01:16You know, this is one of the reasons why we like to do this, because, you know, you, Victoria, have to sacrifice so much as well.
01:23And missing, you know, the firsts of your daughter because you're over there and not being able to, you know, enjoy them live, like you said, with the time change.
01:31So thank you, too, for, you know, what you have to endure.
01:36Yeah, no, thank you.
01:37I know spouses put up with a lot.
01:38Well, tell us about Hunter when he's not working and when he's not serving.
01:44What's he doing?
01:45What are the things he likes to do?
01:47Well, he's from Texas, so he loves to smoke meat.
01:50He loves fishing, hunting.
01:52He loves working on trucks.
01:54So right now that's his project.
01:56He's working on an old truck.
01:57Well, that's great.
01:58And what is his specialty in the Air Force?
02:01He is a combat arms instructor, so he teaches people how to shoot.
02:05Okay, well, it's important.
02:06So what do you think keeps him doing this?
02:10What does he love most about this?
02:12He loves teaching people.
02:14So for his job and, you know, he loves guns and all that.
02:18You know, he grew up hunting and all that.
02:19He loves it, and it makes him happy.
02:22So as long as he's happy, I'm happy.
02:24Oh, that's awesome.
02:25What are the things that you guys like to do when he is not serving?
02:29What do your guys' date nights look like?
02:30I know you're a busy mom.
02:32We don't get many, but we just, you know,
02:36we take the kids.
02:36They love going to the zoo, being outside, you know, the beach.
02:40So anything really outdoors, we're out and about doing that.
02:43All right.
