00:00It finished Shrewsbury Town 1, Lincoln City 1 here at the LNER Stadium as Shrewsbury survived relegation for another game.
00:12Town headed into this clash here against Lincoln, needing to get a better result than Bristol Rovers in order to stave off relegation for another week.
00:21And they certainly managed to do that with the 1-1 draw and Exeter beating the gas at the Mem this afternoon.
00:29It means that it now goes until Easter Friday where Shrewsbury will welcome Wigan to the Crown Meadow.
00:36The day started with the news of Mike Harris putting in a bid of £5 million for Shrewsbury Town.
00:43Obviously, that bid now is being done in public with him tweeting about it and so on and so forth.
00:51Obviously, the TNS owns TNS and a businessman within the Shropshire area.
00:57I'm not sure that Shrewsbury Town will be sold for £5 million.
01:01I'm not entirely aware 100% what the price is for the football club, but I'm certainly pretty sure that you will not purchase it for £5 million.
01:11So, interesting dynamic that that's been played out in the public.
01:15We also understand that Shrewsbury have met several of the parties over the – well, since their period of exclusivity ended with their American investors last week.
01:25And those talks have progressed pretty positively.
01:28And, you know, we'll have to keep a very close eye on that one to see how that situation develops over the next few weeks and months.
01:36With the action today, Shrewsbury good value, a well-deserved, well-earned, hard-fought point here in Lincolnshire.
01:45They fell – they went 1-0 down when Tom Bayliss – had to be Tom Bayliss, didn't it?
01:50A player that Shrewsbury released at the end of last season who joined the Imps.
01:55He scored.
01:56He bent the ball into the far corner.
01:58Absolutely beautiful finish, to be fair.
01:59They're probably disappointed from a Shrewsbury perspective.
02:02You know, Town didn't really get out of bed for the first 10 or 15 minutes.
02:05You know, they were probably – lacked a bit of aggression, as Michael Alpton has said in his post-match press conference.
02:10So, they'd probably be disappointed with that.
02:12But once they finally got their kind of – you know, their feet under the table and they got a bit more comfortable, you know, in the match,
02:19they equalised through Aaron Pierre, had other chances too.
02:22It was a very entertaining opening 45 minutes, but it did get a bit – well, it was just a bit more laid-back, a little bit less chaotic.
02:31There was one opportunity in the second half where Lincoln missed from close range when they probably should have scored.
02:35But aside from that, I can't really remember Jamal Blackman having a save to make throughout the 90 minutes.
02:41For Shrewsbury, they can consider it a hard-earned point.
02:43They played some nice football in the first period.
02:46I don't think that it's a game that Shrewsbury fans will leave feeling particularly too negative about.
02:50I think they gave a decent account of themselves and they now move on to Wigan next week.
