00:00And at this point, let's discuss the update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the go.

00:22First of all, fellow Filipinos, 176 Filipino victims of human trafficking from Myanmar were successfully repatriated to the country.

00:32This is a proven action of protection by the administration of President Marcos Jr. for our fellow Filipinos.

00:40The Department of Foreign Affairs led the whole of government efforts to save and bring home the 176 Filipino

00:49alleged human trafficking victims from the illegal scam centers in Myanmar.

00:53This was done through a special flight from Bangkok, Thailand that arrived on March 26, 2025 at 5.40 am.

01:02When it arrived in Nha Trang, the DFA and partner agencies of the Interagency Council Against Trafficking, or IACAT,

01:11which includes the Department of Justice, Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development,

01:17Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Bureau of Immigration, welcomed the 176 repatriated Filipinos.

01:28The Philippine government's commitment to protect Filipinos abroad remains.

01:32This successful operation was supported by the Philippines as a gold standard in the Migration Protection Mechanism

01:39To ensure that the overseas Filipinos, particularly those identified as alleged victims of human trafficking,

01:45receive the immediate support and assistance they need.

01:50The DSWD ensured that the rescued Filipinos will receive psychosocial interventions and other financial assistance

01:58to support their rehabilitation and reintegration to their families and communities.

02:04According to the agency, there is a package of services from different agencies.

02:08The Department of Health is also part of the whole-of-government approach to ensure that the Filipinos are properly debriefed.

02:15Meanwhile, the government again reminded our countrymen to go through the proper deployment procedures

02:22of concerned government agencies, particularly the DMW, before leaving the country for overseas employment.

02:30And that is the update on the administration's programs until the next Mr. President on the go.
