00:00The first batch of Interagency Humanitarian Contingent Patunong Myanmar left the country this morning to help search and rescue the victims of the earthquake.

00:15The first batch of Interagency Humanitarian Contingent Patunong Myanmar left the country this morning to help search and rescue the victims of the earthquake.

00:23They are the group that will help in the search and rescue that is being carried out in Myanmar after the strong earthquake this Friday.

00:30The group is made up of various agencies including the rescue units of the Philippine Air Force and Philippine Army, Bureau of Fire Protection,

00:38MMDA, DNR, Office of Civil Defense, Department of Health, and several private sectors.

00:44More than 50 people were on the first flight this morning and it is expected that the remaining 33 people will be on the next flight tomorrow.

00:52The OCD also gave the things or missions that the Philippines should support in the extensive rescue operations in Myanmar.

01:00Of course, the help in the search for the survivors who were trapped in the structures that were built in Myanmar.

01:12That is important because there is still time for them to be rescued.

01:16Second, from the Department of Health, that is important.

01:19They were sent a 32-man team that will help in the medical mission.

01:26The contingent commander, Lt. Col. Erwin Diploma, also assured that they are ready despite the security threats of the people in the upcoming mission.

01:35Our consideration is security. We consider that.

01:39However, for our Philippine interagency military contingent for Myanmar, we focus on the search and rescue operation

01:46that we can help for medical assistance for the heavily affected.

01:50We assure with close coordination with our embassy and with our DAFA, we can go over with it, sir,

01:56and we can perform our mission, which is to conduct search and rescue operations and medical assistance.

02:01The medical team and experts that will help in the medical missions and rescue the Filipinos who want to go home were also with the flight earlier.

02:09They were battle-tested. We accompanied other members who were actually in Turkey during the last earthquake.

02:17So they are self-contained, well-trained. They will set up the field hospital.

02:23They will set up logistics and each member of the team may rule.

02:28This will also be a part of the disaster agency's preparation for the calamities that may hit the Philippines, like the flood.

02:35Meanwhile, Composite Assistance to National Team headed to the site where the last four Filipinos were found.

02:44They also talked to the site supervisors of the rescue operations.

02:48As of now, there was no confirmed Filipino who was retrieved or rescued from the site.
