00:00A petition was filed to the Commission on Elections to disqualify the Philippines from re-establishing the PBBM party list.
00:09Atty. Jess Christian Ramirez clarified that the party list has nothing to do with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:17and that it can only cause confusion to the voters about its presence in the Legislature.
00:23She also said that it is possible for the group to use the party list system for personal interests.
00:28In their Comelec Registration in September 2023, the PBBM said that they are embodying the Calabar Zone.
00:36But they came out of the list of nominees in October 2024, 8, from AMBRA, one in Cagayan and one in Quezon City.
00:45No nominee came out from the Calabar Zone, which clearly violated their registration.
00:51According to the petition, the PBBM violated Republic Act 7941 and Comelec Resolution 9366.
00:59Ramirez is asking for immediate cancellation of the PBBM and an immediate ban on their involvement in the Legislature.
