00:00If you want to see what panic looks like, I'm going to lay it out for you.

00:03As part of Trump presiding over the stock market crashing, one of the worst-hit stocks

00:07was Tesla.

00:09Just yesterday, Tesla's stock fell 15 percent, its worst hit in five years.

00:14And frankly, that's tame compared to the three-month outlook for Tesla, wherein the

00:17stock has cratered 46 percent.

00:20Yeah, um, not great.

00:22Elon himself acknowledged this much online when, in response to a tweet about the drop,

00:26he wrote,

00:28If you wanted the personification of the

00:31this is fine meme, it is Elon Musk saying, it'll be fine long term.

00:36And then Trump stepped in.

00:37First, last night, he took to two social, writing,

00:57They tried to do it to me at the 2024 presidential ballot box.

01:00But how did that work out?

01:01In any event, I'm going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence

01:06and support for Elon Musk.

01:08Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help

01:11make America great again?

01:12Yeah, nothing screams confidence like needing Daddy Trump to step in and save his fellow

01:17billionaire friend.

01:18Also, illegally boycotting the company?

01:21This might come as news to Trump, but it is not illegal not to buy Elon Musk's products.

01:28No one ought to let those free market Republicans know as much, but that was just the beginning

01:31because today Trump decided to take it a step further, literally doing a commercial on the

01:37South Lawn of the White House for Tesla.

01:39A white secret service.

01:40Go crazy.

01:42I mean, if you actually drove it around there, it's going to be wild.

01:44This is a different panel than everything's computer.

03:05If you've been watching Jaguars and Barnett, Trump is quite literally reading from a Tesla

03:08sales pitch.

03:09You can literally see the prices on that piece of paper.

03:13So let's recap here.

03:14The market is in freefall.

03:16We've officially entered correction territory.

03:18Trump himself won't even rule out the prospect of a recession.

03:21And yet his priority right now, today, is doing a commercial on the White House lawn

03:26for the literal richest man in the world.

03:29I hope that everybody who voted for Trump on the pretense that he would lower costs

03:33only to watch him crash the economy can see where his focus is on right now.

03:38It's not on you.

03:39It is on the one guy who has more money than most of the United States combined.

03:43And in case you had any doubt that helping Elon and his stock price were what Trump was

03:47trying to do, well, here's Trump just coming out and saying it.

03:50Let's just download it as well.

03:51You can bump your music.

03:52You can do it.

03:53I just looked at it.

03:54I looked at that dashboard.

03:55You can do anything.

03:56Mr. President, do you think you buying a Tesla will boost Tesla sales and boost their stock?

04:01Look, I care about one thing.

04:05When somebody is a great patriot, they shouldn't be hurt.

04:09He's a great patriot.

04:11He didn't know me from Adam until we met a little bit when I was in my first term.

04:15But he came out, he endorsed me very strongly.

04:18In other words, the same political party that lost its fucking mind over the prospect that

04:24Hunter Biden was cashing in on his father's influence is now watching Trump use the White

04:29House, use the federal government to stage commercials for Elon Musk's car company.

04:35But I guess it's OK when Republicans do it, huh?

04:38In fact, the optics were so egregious that even Fox's Peter Doocy asked Trump about the

04:43tone deafness of hawking cars while the rest of the country was watching their 401k's plummet

04:48and costs surge.

04:49What is your message, President Trump?

04:50Buying a new car while there are some folks who will see this flip at home and they are

04:56struggling with their retirement accounts down at the moment, uncertainty about work

05:01ahead.

05:02Well, I think they're going to do great.

05:04I think we're our country had to do this.

05:06We had to go and do this.

05:08They've taken away other countries, have taken away our business.

05:11They've taken away our jobs.

05:14I did it initially very strongly against, as you know, China and some others in the

05:19first term.

05:20And it was a very successful term.

05:22We had no inflation.

05:23We had the greatest economy in the history of our country.

05:27And then we had covered, which we had to straighten out.

05:30So I didn't want to be doing anything with respect to other countries at that time.

05:34And we did a great job with it.

05:35We handed the stock market over.

05:36It was higher than it ever was.

05:39And think of that higher than it ever was to that point before.

05:43And nobody thought that was even possible.

05:44We did a great job, but we had the greatest economy in history.

05:49This economy, in my opinion, is going to blow it away.

05:52What I have to do is I have to get the workers back.

05:54I have to get the factories open.

05:56We have 90,000 factories and plants are closed from what you had just prior to NAFTA, which

06:03is not very long ago.

06:05Ninety thousand.

06:06Think of it.

06:07Ninety thousand factories and plants are closed from what it was.

06:12And it's just not right.

06:14So and we gave it away.

06:17Presidents before me gave it away.

06:18And I could name every one of them.

06:21But they gave it away and we're taking it back.

06:23We're taking our jobs back.

06:24Yeah.

06:25When even Peter Doocy is calling out the terrible optics of pandering to the world's richest

06:29man while your own supporters get hung out to dry, you might have lost the plot.

06:33But the reality is that Trump is broadcasting who his priority is.

06:37And here's a hint.

06:38It's not those Americans who he pretended to care about during the campaign.

06:41It's not all those Americans he pandered to about high grocery costs and high rent costs

06:46and high housing costs and high egg costs.

06:49Once he got your votes, once he took from you what he needed, he pivoted instantly to

06:54the people he actually cared about, his donors and Elon Musk.

06:58There is a reason that Medicaid and food stamps are on the chopping block right now, while

07:02tax cuts for billionaires are the number one priority of today's GOP.

07:06It's because Trump doesn't care about his supporters.

07:08They are his vehicle for power.

07:10He is showing you who he cares about right now.

07:13That's why your costs are going up.

07:15And instead of fixing it, he is hosting a commercial for Tesla on the White House South

07:19Lawn.
