00:00Hello there and welcome to your Wednesday evening weather update from the Met Office.
00:05Now through tomorrow yet again there'll be a lot of sunshine around, quite a brisk wind particularly across more central and southern areas,
00:12all courtesy of high pressure sitting towards the north.
00:15Areas of showery rain though will just come and go across the southwest extending towards Northern Ireland into the early hours of Friday morning
00:23and with an onshore breeze along this eastern side feeling a bit cool despite the sunshine.
00:28Warmest will be in the west and that's where you'll see the highest temperatures.
00:32Now through this evening and overnight a little cloud comes and goes, we could see more cloud across Shetland as well.
00:38A few showers brew across the English Channel and there's quite a breeze down here,
00:43stronger wind than affecting southern counties as we head through the night.
00:47Elsewhere some clearer skies even with a touch of frost across central and eastern areas of Scotland to start the day a bit cool.
00:54Also for places such as Northern Ireland in Shelter where temperatures will dip down to mid-single figures.
00:59First thing tomorrow morning then, one or two showers possible across the southwest.
01:04Elsewhere any cloud tending to melt away quite quickly.
01:08It's going to be a lovely day for most with some gorgeous sunshine coming through.
01:12Now showery bursts of rain will continue to extend across more southern and southwestern areas of England and Wales
01:18as we head through to the afternoon and into evening time.
01:22But in Shelter, 19 for the Moray Firth, 16 for Northern Ireland, 20 down towards the southeast as well as Northern Council of England
01:28away from this east coast where temperatures will be pegged back to around the mid-teens.
01:32So expect some showers as we head through tomorrow evening.
01:36Strongest winds will be towards the southwest and these showers could just clip Northern Ireland into the early hours of that Friday morning.
01:43Elsewhere it's a fine start to the day.
01:45More clouds across the far northeast of Scotland.
01:48The cloud will break up towards the west and yet again we'll be bathed in some lovely April sunshine.
01:54But the winds shifted around to a northeasterly direction so cool along that east coast inland up to around 20, even 21 degrees Celsius.
02:01But watch out for the breeze, it really will take the edge of those temperatures as we head through the afternoon.
02:06Now on Saturday temperatures will be pegged back even more, probably 16 or 17 generally.
02:11But single figures along that east coast of Scotland where you'll see more in the way of cloud.
02:16Cloudy conditions first thing, burning back to the coast.
02:19Sunday's looking fine and dry and temperatures typically around 12 to 15 Celsius.
02:22See you later.
