00:00Hello there and a very good evening to you on this Wednesday evening. We're
00:04heading into the warmest day of the year tomorrow as temperatures reach 20 in one
00:08or two spots towards the south and southeast. And the reason why, the winds
00:12shifting round to more of a southeasterly, we're still under the
00:15influence of high pressure extending from southeast Europe. Waiting in the
00:20wings will be some slightly different weather as we head into Friday and the
00:24weekend. Things are turning a little more unsettled. However, for this evening
00:29typical conditions under a cell of high pressure. Frost particularly across the
00:34north there, temperatures across Scotland dipping down as low as minus 6 minus 7
00:38degrees Celsius. A little cloud just drifting across the sky further south.
00:42It won't be as cold across England and Wales but there will be some pockets of
00:45frost. Winds are light, we can't rule out one or two fog patches as well. A brisk
00:50breeze across the far west of Scotland, still cold here as we enter the day. And
00:54a little bit more clouds to start the day across Northern Ireland. Through the
00:58morning, one or two showers across Shetland will clear. Most of us seeing
01:01some sunshine, albeit rather hazy in places particularly towards the west. But
01:06with a light wind coming in from a warm direction, yes temperatures responding
01:11to that sunshine very nicely. So by around 3 p.m. we'll see values coming in
01:16around 14 or 15 towards Scotland and Northern Ireland. 16 further south and
01:21towards the south and southeast, 19 to 20 degrees Celsius. Perhaps even a 21
01:27somewhere. So through tomorrow evening and overnight, a few changes. First of
01:32all the wind picks up some strength. Onshore breezes along this east side of
01:36Scotland, you could see some low cloud. At the same time we'll see some showery
01:40bursts of rain arrive across the West Country extending towards Northern
01:43Ireland, perhaps West Wales. Elsewhere is another warm day although it will be a
01:48bit breezy in places but a lot of sunshine around. But that sunshine will
01:53be replaced as we head through Friday and into the weekend with some showery
01:57bursts of rain. The clouds always thickening from the west then on Friday.
02:01Here's your outlook through Saturday. Some showers in the mix. Some of these
02:04could actually be on the heavy side. The risk of thunder here and there as well
02:08as temperatures arrive around 12 to 15, 16 degrees Celsius. See you later.
