00:00:08Now sources have told India Today that Justice Verma is all set to appear before a panel very soon.
00:00:13Evidence has been gathered and that evidence has now been examined by experts.

00:00:30Justice Verma's personal secretary also at the moment is in the dock.
00:00:34Cash Hall site has been compromised.
00:00:36Delhi Police is looking at all the scanner and is also looking at all the lapses that took place while the investigation was going on.
00:00:47My colleague Nalini Sharma is now joining me on the story.
00:00:50Nalini this is crucial evidence that India Today has now got from what we understand.
00:00:54The evidence has been gathered, it's been examined by experts and he will be confronted with all the evidence that has been gathered so far.
00:01:24In fact I was telling you Justice Verma is also getting up to appear before the committee.
00:01:28We just don't expect him to come before them to answer their questions.
00:01:33Regarding what happened on the night of March 14th as well as regarding the recovery of the cash.
00:01:39And for that Justice Verma has also consulted several top defence lawyers in Delhi.
00:01:46Including Senior Advocate Siddharth Agarwal and Arunati Kajju.
00:01:51So it remains to be seen how early we see Justice Verma appearing before the committee.
00:01:56And also now that the entire inquiry has been expedited.
00:02:00How soon can we expect the reports to be filed before the Chief Justice of India.
00:02:04It's going to be interesting to watch also.
00:02:08Thank you Nalini for giving us those details.
00:02:10How it plays out in front of the court is something that everyone very keenly is looking at.
00:02:14Top legal eagles are all set to defend Justice Verma in this case.
00:02:18Probe against Justice Verma will be expedited.
00:02:31There has been a big breakthrough in the Rania gold smuggling case.
00:02:35The DRI officials have now arrested a key accused Sahil Jain.
00:02:39Jain abetting the smuggling of close to 15 kgs of gold.
00:02:44He is the person who pushed Rania to travel so much.
00:02:47Not just to Dubai, to UAE but even to UK and the United States of America.
00:02:51The DRI officials have now arrested a key accused Sahil Jain.
00:02:55His name had come up when the investigations in this case were going on.
00:02:59The gold seized is close to 12 crore rupees in value.
00:03:02Jain assisted Rania in smuggling gold.
00:03:05Sahil also planned to sell gold which was seized from Rania Rao.
00:03:09He is in custody till the 29th of March.
00:03:14My colleague Sagai Raj is now joining me on the story.
00:03:17Sagai, this is a big breakthrough which has now come in this Rania Rao's gold smuggling case.
00:03:21We understand that he was the person who was the mastermind.
00:03:24Sahil Jain who has now been arrested by the DRI.
00:03:44He has disposed the gold whenever she has brought to Bengaluru.
00:03:48Last time when she brought gold to Bengaluru, say around January month.
00:03:54He is the person who bought the gold and he is the person who disposed the gold.
00:03:58So the DRI as well as the police are investigating further to understand what is this role?
00:04:04What is the next step?
00:04:06And on which syndicate these people are working?
00:04:09Who are the other people who are behind this particular gold smuggling racket?
00:04:17Thank you Sagai for giving us those details.
00:04:19Other people who are involved in this gold smuggling racket are at the moment being investigated.
00:04:24A key accused whose name came while the investigations were going on.
00:04:28Sahil Jain has now been arrested and he is in the DRI custody till the 29th of March.
00:04:34It's the Karnataka gold smuggling case which is getting murkier with each passing day.
00:04:39The DRI in court has now said Rania Rao has confessed to the Hawala Link.
00:04:44Now this is opening more doors for investigation to take place.
00:04:47Take a look at this detailed report.
00:04:56The Rania Rao gold smuggling scandal continues to unravel.
00:05:04An investigation report accessed exclusively by India Today
00:05:09has revealed that airport security protocols were broken for the starlet.
00:05:17And it was her father DGP Ramachandra Rao at whose behest
00:05:22VVIP privileges and a safe passage were accorded to Rania at the airport.
00:05:33In another stunning twist, the anti-smuggling agency has told the court that Rania has confessed.
00:05:40Confessed to transferring funds via Hawala for purchasing gold.
00:05:49DRI claims that Rania's confession came days after it alleged
00:05:53that it had evidence of the actor and her friend Karun Raju making 26 trips to Dubai.
00:06:02Rania allegedly handed Hawala transactions to actor Karun Raju.
00:06:08Karun then transferred the money to Dubai.
00:06:11This money was sent to Rania through Hawala channels.
00:06:15Rania then smuggled gold into India via Bengaluru airport.
00:06:21The money was transferred to Rania's accounts.
00:06:26And allegedly that Hawala money was sent to unidentified accounts.
00:06:36Rania Rao was arrested on March 3rd at the Bengaluru airport after a thorough personal search.
00:06:43She was found with gold bars wrapped around her waist and calves
00:06:49which was concealed with bandages and tissues.
00:06:53Additionally, more gold bars and cut pieces were found in her shoes and front pockets.
00:07:14Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to Muhammad Yunus.
00:07:18He has greeted Yunus on Bangladesh's National Day.
00:07:21Prime Minister has reminded Bangladesh of India's role in the creation of the country.
00:07:26Prime Minister's big message of peace, stability and prosperity.
00:07:30Prime Minister Modi has emphasised that India is committed to
00:07:34strengthening the bilateral partnership between India and Bangladesh.
00:07:37My colleague Shivani Sharma is now joining me on the story.
00:07:40Shivani, a very crucial letter being written by Prime Minister Modi.
00:07:44He has greeted Muhammad Yunus on Bangladesh's National Day
00:07:47and also reminded Bangladesh of India's role in its creation.
00:07:51A very good morning to you, Aishwarya, to all our viewers too.
00:07:55And yes, you are right, this is a very crucial letter.
00:07:58And India's neighbourhood first policy and a mark of tradition
00:08:02is very evident in this letter when Prime Minister Narendra Modi
00:08:06has written to Bangladesh's chief advisor, Muhammad Yunus, on Bangladesh's National Day.
00:08:11He has not only extended his greetings, but yes, he has reminded Bangladesh
00:08:15of India's and Bangladesh's shared history and how India had helped Bangladesh getting liberated.
00:08:22So that's very important out here to understand, Aishwarya,
00:08:24whatever is going on in Bangladesh, the political turmoil.
00:08:28Bangladesh has to remember the kind of relationship it has been sharing with India.
00:08:34Because, you know, in this letter, Prime Minister has said that
00:08:38this National Day stands as a testament to our shared history
00:08:42and sacrifices that have laid foundation of our bilateral partnership.
00:08:46And I must mention here, Aishwarya, that on 3rd and 4th of April,
00:08:50Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Muhammad Yunus will be in Thailand for the BIMSTEC Summit.
00:08:55And there are chances of their meeting out there because, you know,
00:08:59Bangladesh has requested a bilateral with Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
00:09:03though it has not been cleared whether they will be meeting in the bilateral meeting.
00:09:07But yes, they have to be together in that summit.
00:09:10Right. Thank you, Shivani, giving us those details.
00:09:12Very soon we will see. Muhammad Yunus and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting in Thailand.
00:09:17A request has come in from Bangladesh for a bilateral with India.
00:09:20Nothing has been confirmed yet. Nothing firm at the moment.
00:09:23But Prime Minister Modi in his letter has now greeted Muhammad Yunus on Bangladesh's National Day.
00:09:31It's the speaker versus the leader of the opposition that's playing out in the Lakh Lok Sabha.
00:09:36And this is something which is all set to escalate.
00:09:39The BJP has launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi after Rahul Gandhi claimed
00:09:44that he was not allowed to speak in the parliament.
00:09:46BJP said Rahul Gandhi is not present in the parliament and does not even speak on most of the bills.
00:09:52But the BJP also said that no one can stop an MP from speaking on the floor of the house.
00:09:57All this after Rahul Gandhi alleged that he had requested the speaker to let him speak.
00:10:02But Om Birla made very unsubstantial remarks against him and ran away.
00:10:06These were the claims being made by Rahul Gandhi.
00:10:08Rahul Gandhi is accusing the centre of giving no place to the opposition in the parliament
00:10:13and functioning in a very non-democratic way.
00:10:32What we want to say, we are not allowed to say.
00:10:36Lok Sabha is either made urgent or is not allowed to speak.
00:10:42And after that, some unnecessary comments are made to confuse things.
00:10:49The leader of the opposition, if you don't let him speak, then how can democracy be protected?
00:10:57It has become his habit to defame the seats of the parliament.
00:11:04If Rahul Gandhi has the knowledge of democracy and is misguiding the country,
00:11:08then no one can stop anyone from speaking in this parliament.
00:11:12Rahul Gandhi does not even sit in the parliament.
00:11:15If he wants, he can speak on any bill of his party.
00:11:19But he does not speak on any bill, on any constitution, on any proposal.
00:11:24So now he himself does not come, he himself has no interest in democracy.
00:11:29And after this, where is he going?
00:11:32There is no government in the parliament.
00:11:34You run the speakers, the speaker is a custodian of the house.
00:11:38After all, the opposition speaks every day.
00:11:40If the members of Congress can speak, why can't they speak?
00:11:43Always, no member can stand and speak at any time.
00:11:47At any time, he cannot make a point of order.
00:11:51To say everything, if a leader wants to speak, then he has all the topics.
00:11:57If he wants to speak on any bill, then he can speak.
00:12:01He can speak for zero hours, he can speak in a special mansion.
00:12:04There is a unique opportunity.
00:12:07I think this accusation is false, and there is a lack of information.
00:12:27I was informed about the Raipur house search, unauthorized entry by CBI officials in my house.
00:12:32The CBI entered my house when I was absent.
00:12:35Now these are the scathing claims which are being made by the former chief minister of the state of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Magel.
00:12:41The BJP is hatching a conspiracy and it's trying to do so through the CBI.
00:12:46Big statements coming in from Bhupesh Magel who said that the CBI officials had entered his house when he was not present in the house
00:12:53and also saying that their entry was not authorized.
00:12:56My colleague Sumi is now joining me on the story.
00:12:59Sumi, we are seeing it's the CBI versus Bhupesh Magel.
00:13:02Something that has been playing out over the past many months.
00:13:05Now big statements coming in from Bhupesh Magel's side.
00:13:11Yes, absolutely.
00:13:13Yesterday what happened on 14th March, he also made a very serious allegation that he went over at 4 pm itself
00:13:22and the CBI officials stayed there for too long to build a narrative against him.
00:13:27All of this was a media hype.
00:13:29And certainly when he came out at 10.30 to make a statement to the media,
00:13:33he clearly said that he was serving notice for the raid at the good residence but not at the right of official residence.
00:13:43And which is why he was not present there at the right of residence
00:13:46and the CBI officials in an unauthorized way entered his house when there was no staff
00:13:51and in fact it was left empty with only the CBI officials.
00:13:55And which is why he said,
00:14:00as I was absent there when the raids took place.
00:14:03So certainly this is a major allegation that is coming from Bhupesh Magel.
00:14:07And he also said that BJP is trying to detain him
00:14:10and in fact he said that all the documents belonging to his properties were taken by the CBI officials.
00:14:15The ED had taken the photographs and the Xerox copies of all those documents belonging to the properties of Bhupesh Magel.
00:14:22However, the CBI officials took the original copy and left nothing for the next purpose raided by the ID.
00:14:30He said that every agency will definitely come knocking at my door
00:14:33because now that I have become Punjab in charge that is somewhere down the line not going down,
00:14:38not going very well with the BJP and which is why every agency will come knocking at my door.
00:14:44Thank you Sumit giving us those details.
00:14:46My colleague also pointing out that because he's become in charge of Punjab,
00:14:49Bhupesh Magel says that this is just the beginning.
00:14:51Other agencies will also come knocking on his doors very soon.
00:15:00The political storm continues to intensify over comedian Kunal Kamra.
00:15:04It's the Deputy Chief Minister of the State of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde,
00:15:08who is up the ante against Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray
00:15:12over the controversial comments being made by comedian Kunal Kamra.
00:15:15While speaking inside the Maharashtra Assembly, Eknath Shinde claimed
00:15:19few Shikhandis are plotting and using Pakhandis to defame him.
00:15:23Without naming Uddhav Thackeray, Eknath Shinde claimed that people know who the real traitor is
00:15:28and the smear campaign against him will not work.
00:15:31BJP MLC has also now moved a breach of privilege motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra
00:15:37over his parody song targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
00:15:58BJP MLC has now moved a breach of privilege motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra
00:16:03over his parody song targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
00:16:07BJP MLC has now moved a breach of privilege motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra
00:16:12over his parody song targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
00:16:16BJP MLC has now moved a breach of privilege motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra
00:16:21over his parody song targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
00:16:25BJP MLC has now moved a breach of privilege motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra
00:16:30over his parody song targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
00:16:34BJP MLC has now moved a breach of privilege motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra
00:16:39over his parody song targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
00:16:43BJP MLC has now moved a breach of privilege motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra
00:16:48over his parody song targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
00:16:52If he thinks that he is a learned man, he is wrong.
00:16:57Because every person living in the country has the right to freedom of expression.
00:17:03But how far can freedom of expression be used in the future?
00:17:15News that's coming in at the moment,
00:17:17it's US President Donald Trump who has slapped 25% duties on car imported to the United States of America.
00:17:24Car tariffs are all set to come into effect after midnight on the 3rd of April.
00:17:30Canada says that this is a direct attack with regards to the 25% tariff that the United States is all set to levy.
00:17:37We'll defend our companies and even defend our workers.
00:17:41Canada is now planning to impose retaliatory tariff on the United States of America.
00:17:46This is a tariff war that we are seeing playing in front of our eyes.
00:17:50With regards to the United States of America, Donald Trump has now decided
00:17:54that US will now slap 25% duties on cars imported to the United States of America
00:18:01and this will come into effect from midnight on the 3rd of April.
00:18:05What do you think will be the consequences of this?
00:18:09I think ultimately we could probably, anywhere from $600 billion to a trillion dollars
00:18:16will be taken in over the relatively short term period, meaning a year from now.
00:18:24We're going to have very strong policing and it's pretty easy to do.
00:18:29If parts are made in America and a car isn't, those parts are not going to be taxed or tariffed
00:18:35and we'll have very strong policing as far as that's concerned.
00:18:38For the most part, I think it's going to lead cars to be made in one location.
00:18:42Right now, a car would be made here, sent to Canada, sent to Mexico, sent all over the place. It's ridiculous.
00:18:49You just heard US President Donald Trump who's now saying that the administration is all set to impose
00:18:58a 25% duty on cars which are imported to the United States of America.
00:19:03We could probably, anywhere from $600 billion to a trillion dollars
00:19:11will be taken in over the relatively short term period, meaning a year from now.
00:19:19We're going to have very strong policing.
00:19:22This is a direct attack, to be clear, a direct attack on the very workers that I stood in front of,
00:19:29Unifor workers, I stood in front of at the Ambassador Bridge.
00:19:33A bridge that is a symbol and a reality up until now of the tight ties between our two countries,
00:19:41ties of kinship, ties of commerce, ties that are in the process of being broken.
00:19:48We will defend our workers, we'll defend our companies, we'll defend our country and we'll defend it together.
00:19:58My colleague Shivani Sharma is now joining me on the story.
00:20:01Shivani, we are seeing a big war being played in front of our eyes.
00:20:04The United States on one side, Canada on the other side.
00:20:07Canada believes that this is a direct attack which is being done by the United States of America.
00:20:14President Trump is looking at these tariffs as a tool to revive the economy of the United States
00:20:21that has been long declining and that's what we are seeing here in terms of the increased tariffs
00:20:27and certainly now when he has announced this 25% on all automobile imports, this would be a big war.
00:20:36We can think, we can see that how Canada is also planning to levy these reciprocal tariffs on the United States too.
00:20:47And this is going to start on April 2nd, that's what has been announced by President Trump.
00:20:52He says that all these new tariffs on imports will be levied with effect to April 2.
00:20:58And he has also mentioned several times, Aishwarya,
00:21:01that the countries that have been levying tariffs on the United States will be in return taxed heavily
00:21:07and that's what we are seeing.
00:21:09So here President Trump is acting more like a businessman and he wants to revive the economy of the United States
00:21:15and he has been using these tariffs as a big tool to revive the long declining US economy.
00:21:22Right, thank you Shivani, giving us those details.
00:21:24As my colleague was also pointing out, many experts are saying that at the moment
00:21:28US President Donald Trump is behaving like a businessman
00:21:30and that's the reason why we are seeing the US now imposing many levies on many products.
00:21:44A controversy with regards to the signal chat leak in the United States of America.
00:21:49US intelligence chief says that it was a mistake.
00:21:52Tulsi Gabbard says journalist was added to the signal chat by mistake.
00:21:57This is a big controversy which is now breaking in in the United States of America over the signal chat.
00:22:02US intelligence chief says it was a mistake.
00:22:05Tulsi Gabbard in a statement has said that the journalist was added to signal chat by mistake.
00:22:19US Defense Secretary Pete in fact texted the start time of the planned killing of a Yohuti militant in Yemen
00:22:26on the 15th of March along with the details of the further airstrikes
00:22:30that would normally be a very closely guarded secret.
00:22:33Now as was revealed in the follow-up report of The Atlantic which was published on Wednesday,
00:22:38the screenshots of the chat released by The Atlantic bear the hard proof of what exactly went down.
00:22:44While the Trump administration continues to attack the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic
00:22:48and they continue to downplay the security breach.
00:22:55The Atlantic published a follow-up report.
00:22:57It is more damning than the previous one.
00:23:00This time The Atlantic editor-in-chief posted parts of the chat detailing the Yemen attack in the signal group.
00:23:07It detailed the F-18 launch and drone strikes.
00:23:11The report released the entire signal chat among Trump's senior national security officials on Wednesday.
00:23:17This comes a day after the US President's National Security Advisor Michael Walz
00:23:23in a television interview accepted responsibility for the group chat.
00:23:42We know these operations. We're going to get to the bottom of it.
00:23:45I just talked to Elon on the way here. We've got the best technical minds looking at how this happened.
00:23:51But I can tell you, I can tell you for 100% I don't know this guy.
00:23:56I know him by his horrible reputation.
00:23:59White House continued to slam The Atlantic editor-in-chief
00:24:03questioning his credibility and downplaying the security breach.
00:24:07White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt posted Atlantic's follow-up report on X calling it a hoax.
00:24:15US Vice President J.D. Vance in his X post said that Jeffrey Goldberg oversold the report.
00:24:22Mike Walz invited The Atlantic editor-in-chief to the signal group
00:24:26and while all guns are trained at him,
00:24:28the US National Security Advisor continues to enjoy full support from the President.
00:24:34Well, I think it's a question I've been asked now and I've given a few answers and they've all been the same.
00:24:42We have an amazing group. Our national security now is stronger than it's ever been.
00:24:47We have had a very, very successful numerous attacks on that area.
00:24:52These are people that shoot down ships, not only our ships, ships all over the world.
00:24:56They're shooting down right out of the water and damaging them badly or they're going down.
00:25:01They're also shooting anything that happens to be flying in the area.
00:25:05We hit them very, very hard.
00:25:07There was no classified information as I understand it.
00:25:11They used a app, if you want to call it an app, that a lot of people use,
00:25:18a lot of people in government use, a lot of people in the media use.
00:25:21And I think I'll ask Mike. Mike is here. Do you want to respond to that, please?
00:25:26Yes, Mr. President. You asked about lessons.
00:25:28I think there's a lot of lessons. There's a lot of journalists in this city who have made big names for themselves,
00:25:34making up lies about this president, whether it's the Russia hoax or making up lies about gold star families.
00:25:41And this one in particular, I've never met, don't know, never communicated with.
00:25:46And we are looking into him, reviewing how the heck he got into this room.
00:25:51But I'll tell you what, the world owes President Trump a favor.
00:25:55The signal gate of Yemen attack has triggered Senate members to call for resignation of the top security officials.
00:26:02But the Trump administration continues to downplay the security breach of the leak of attack plans on legal and technical grounds.
00:26:11Bureau report, India Today.
00:26:13News that's coming in at the moment, it's the WAF bill, which will likely be discussed in the Tamil Nadu assembly today.
00:26:27Sources have told India Today, M.K.Stalin all set to bring a resolution against the WAF bill.
00:26:32This is the state of Tamil Nadu in the assembly where we will see a possible discussion on the WAF bill taking place today.
00:26:39Sources have said M.K.Stalin, the chief minister of the state of Tamil Nadu, all set to bring a resolution against the WAF bill.
00:26:46The government is looking at bringing in the WAF bill in the next week.
00:26:50Next week will be the last week of the monsoon of the parliament in the national capital.
00:26:56And before that, it's the Tamil Nadu assembly, which is now looking at bringing in the WAF bill and discussion will take place.
00:27:05Chief Minister?
00:27:07My colleague Pramod Madhav is now joining me on the story.
00:27:10Pramod, we are seeing M.K.Stalin made up his mind to discuss the WAF bill.
00:27:14From what we understand in the Tamil Nadu assembly, there will be a discussion, a likely discussion on the WAF bill.
00:27:20Already the DMK government has very clearly mentioned that they are going to oppose the WAF bill.
00:27:25And even during the recent iftar, the chief minister M.K.Stalin has made sure that he is with the minorities and also took a dig at the opposition party AIDMK,
00:27:34claiming that it actually supported the CAA and had not, the former AIDMK government had not supported the bill, it would not have been passed.
00:27:43But however, he also made it very clear that Tamil Nadu government will oppose under DMK rule the WAF bill.
00:27:48And that's the reason we've been informed that a resolution will be brought by the chief minister M.K.Stalin in today's assembly session, Aishwarya.
00:27:57Pramod, if you can also tell us what, you know, will it be the chief minister who will be bringing it in?
00:28:02And around what time can we expect the discussion to take place in the Tamil Nadu assembly?
00:28:07Aishwarya, the regular motion is in such a way that like around 10.30 to 11, the normal question now will be there.
00:28:12And post which will be about the special bill, the special resolution will be moved by the chief minister.
00:28:18And the discussion will happen on it as well.
00:28:20Other party leaders will speak on the matter for at least 45 minutes and post which a vote will be taken by the speaker, Appavu.
00:28:27And if the vote goes in favor of the chief minister's resolution, it will be passed also.
00:28:32It is being expected that there could be a possibility that except BJP, every other party in the state can go ahead
00:28:37and will go ahead and support the chief minister's resolution, Aishwarya.
00:28:42Thank you, Pramod, giving us those details.
00:28:44In the Tamil Nadu assembly today, we will see a discussion taking place on the WAF bill.
00:28:49After the discussion, we will see voting also taking place.
00:28:52Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, in all likelihood, all set to bring in a resolution against the WAF bill.
00:29:02Now, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board has organized an anti-WAF protest.
00:29:11Now, this protest saw the presence of leaders across party lines, including the former Bihar chief minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav.
00:29:22Muslim organizations are hitting the streets to protest against the proposed WAF amendment bill.
00:29:28The All India Muslim Personal Law Board held a protest at Gardhani Bagh in Patna on Wednesday.
00:29:33The event was attended by Bihar's opposition leaders.
00:29:58The WAF is a major issue in Bihar, the only major state going to polls this year.
00:30:13Joint Parliamentary Committee chief urged protesters to wait for the bill to be tabled.
00:30:28The BJP slammed the opposition over its stand.
00:30:58It is unfortunate that Bihar's people are being divided on a religious basis.
00:31:07With the government expected to table the WAF amendment bill in this session of Parliament, many Muslim bodies are planning protests.
00:31:14AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had joined a protest in Delhi recently.
00:31:20The WAF amendment bill will set new rules for management of properties dedicated exclusively for religious or charitable purposes under Islamic law.
00:31:29WAF boards control 8.7 lakh properties spanning 9.4 lakh acres across India with an estimated value of 1.2 lakh crore rupees.
00:31:40There are 32 WAF boards including two Shia WAF boards in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

00:31:57After the Lok Sabha speaker schooled LOP Rahul Gandhi in Parliament, the BJP has now released a video of Rahul Gandhi in the Assembly.
00:32:05Rahul Gandhi can be seen affectionately cupping the cheeks of his sister Priyanka Gandhi Wadhwa.
00:32:10It's the BJP which is now saying it's disgraceful that the speaker had to remind Rahul Gandhi about the decorum of the Parliament.
00:32:17Lok Sabha speaker had asked Rahul Gandhi to maintain decorum and to conduct himself with line with the rules of the Parliament.
00:32:25This is the BJP that has now released a video.
00:32:28The BJP has released a video of Rahul Gandhi on the floor of the Parliament where Rahul Gandhi could be affectionately seen cupping the cheeks of his sister Priyanka Gandhi Wadhwa.
00:32:37The BJP says this is disgraceful that it's the speaker who had to remind Rahul Gandhi to behave in an appropriate manner.
00:32:45This has led to a huge war of words between the Congress and the BJP.
00:32:54The Congress on one side is saying that all that Rahul Gandhi wanted to do was that he wanted to speak on the floor of the Parliament.
00:33:00But the speaker Om Birla did not allow that to happen.
00:33:04My colleague Piyush is now joining me on the story.
00:33:06Piyush we will see this escalating even today on the floor of the Parliament.
00:33:10The BJP is now saying it was Rahul Gandhi who was not behaving appropriately.
00:33:14And that's the reason why the Lok Sabha speaker had to school him.
00:33:40The BJP has requested the LOP to behave in a proper manner and go by the rules in the books.
00:33:47Remember that after this entire controversy the BJP has also tweeted out a video in which you can clearly see how Rahul Gandhi is seen cupping the cheeks of Priyanka Gandhi.
00:33:56And I think that itself Om Birla said that there have been multiple instances where inappropriate behaviour has been seen in the house.
00:34:06And it is the responsibility of leaders and MPs to behave in a proper manner.
00:34:15Thank you Piyush for giving us those details.
00:34:17The BJP and speaker Om Birla are now pointing fingers at the Congress and saying that there is a certain decorum that needs to be maintained.
00:34:23Something that Rahul Gandhi must learn.
00:34:26It's the speaker versus the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha and this is a fight which is all set to escalate.
00:34:32The BJP has launched a scathing attack at Rahul Gandhi after he claimed that he was not being allowed to speak in the Parliament.
00:34:39The BJP said Rahul Gandhi is not present in the Parliament on most days and does not even speak on any bill.
00:34:46Also the BJP says no one can stop an MP from speaking in the house.
00:34:51Now all this after Rahul Gandhi alleged that he had requested the speaker to let him speak but Om Birla made unsubstantial remarks against him and later ran away.
00:35:00Rahul Gandhi is accusing the centre for giving no place to the opposition in Parliament and functioning in a very non-democratic manner.
00:35:20I don't know how this house is functioning.
00:35:23They don't let us say what we want to say.
00:35:27Lok Sabha is either adjourned or they are not given a chance to speak.
00:35:34And after that some unnecessary comments are made to confuse things.
00:35:40If you don't let the leader of the opposition speak, how will you protect democracy?
00:35:49It has become their habit to defame the seats of the Parliament.
00:35:55If Rahul Gandhi is being misled by the knowledge of the Parliament that no one can stop anyone from speaking in the Parliament.
00:36:03Rahul Gandhi does not even sit in the Parliament.
00:36:06If a member of his party wants to speak on any bill, he can.
00:36:10But he does not speak on any bill, on any constitution, on any proposal.
00:36:15He does not even come to the Parliament.
00:36:18He does not have any interest in the constitution.
00:36:21And after that, where is he going?
00:36:23This is not a government.
00:36:25This is a Parliament.
00:36:26The Speaker runs it.
00:36:27The Speaker is a custodian of the House.
00:36:29After all, the opposition speaks every day.
00:36:31If the members of Congress can speak, why can't they speak?
00:36:34No member of Congress can stand up and speak at any time.
00:36:38No member of Congress can give a point of order at any time.
00:36:42To speak on everything, if a member of Congress wants to speak, he has all the topics.
00:36:48He can speak on any bill.
00:36:52He can speak for zero hours.
00:36:54He can speak in a special mansion.
00:36:56There is a unique opportunity.
00:36:59This accusation is a false accusation.
00:37:02And there is a lack of information.
00:37:04It's a big political storm which continues to intensify over comedian Kunal Kamra.
00:37:10It's the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Iqnat Shinde,
00:37:13who has upped the ante against Sena UBT Chief, Uddhav Thackeray,
00:37:16over the controversial comments made by comedian Kunal Kamra.
00:37:20While speaking inside the Maharashtra Assembly,
00:37:22Iqnat Shinde claimed very few Shikhandis are now plotting and using Bakhandis to defame him.
00:37:28Without naming Uddhav Thackeray, Iqnat Shinde claimed that the people know who the real traitor is
00:37:32and the smear campaign against him will not work.

00:51:43On trade we had a very open discussion.
00:51:46And the result of that discussion was that the Prime Minister and the President agreed
00:51:54that we would conclude, you rightly said, not a free trade agreement but a bilateral trade agreement
00:52:02by fall this year.
00:52:04And that is what is currently under discussion.
00:52:10We have a team here. By the way, it is not that they are kicking off the discussion.
00:52:15My colleague, the Trade Minister, the Commerce Minister was in the US last month.
00:52:22And since then actually we have been working the trade account through virtual means.
00:52:28So there is a very active and intense trade discussion going on at this point of time.
00:52:36My colleague Shivani Sharma joining me on the story.
00:52:39Shivani, a very important statement coming in from the External Affairs Minister.
00:52:43And he also very rightly pointed out that two countries can have differences
00:52:47but those differences should not get converted into massive disputes.
00:52:53Aishwarya, the essence of the old talk of Dr. S.J.Aishankar was that world must know the value of India.
00:52:59And the evolving relationships of India with the United States, with China
00:53:04and a combination of India's growing strength, its self-reliance
00:53:09and how it has been now dealing strongly with these nations including the United States
00:53:15about which Dr. S.J.Aishankar said that India is engaging with the US on the trade agreement.
00:53:22The Commerce Minister is also working with them.
00:53:24And he also was talking on a number of different issues, Aishwarya, in this talk.
00:53:29He said that the government policies are now filled with pride and ownership.
00:53:34And that's the way the change has come to India and the world is now seeing India
00:53:40and looking at India as an evolving, relevant country that believes in self-reliance
00:53:44and that value of India is passing on to the world.
00:53:50Thank you, Shivani, giving us those details.
00:53:52Important statement coming in from the External Affairs Minister
00:53:55saying that the Galwan clashes had hurt the ties and now over the past many months
00:54:00there has been an effort being made from both the sides, India as well as China
00:54:03to repair and mend the broken relationship.
00:54:16News coming in from Chhattisgarh now.
00:54:17After the CBI raided Bhupesh Bhagir's residence,
00:54:20former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister is saying that there is a conspiracy
00:54:24which is being hatched against him.
00:54:26Bhagir said he was not informed about the Raipur house search.
00:54:29Unauthorised entry was done by CBI officials.
00:54:32CBI entered my house when I was not present
00:54:35and it's the BJP that is hatching a conspiracy through CBI.
00:54:39These are the allegations being made by the former Chief Minister of the state of Chhattisgarh,
00:54:43Bhupesh Bhagir, who is now saying that the BJP is hatching a conspiracy through the CBI.
00:54:48The CBI entered my house when I was not present
00:54:52and this was unauthorised entry which was being done by the CBI officials.
00:54:56Bhupesh Bhagir also pointing fingers at the BJP and saying
00:54:59that the Central Investigative Agency is only conducting these searches at the behest of the BJP.
00:55:11There is no investigation on the accused.
00:55:15This is a purely political investigation.
00:55:21The Chief Minister is coming on the 30th
00:55:25and this has been published to create content for his speech.
00:55:3015 days ago, the ED people searched the entire house.
00:55:35What else will they find?
00:55:37They also raided my mother-in-law's residence in Raipur.
00:55:43I was here.
00:55:45I was only given a notice by the ED people.
00:55:52I did not get any notice of my mother-in-law's residence.
00:55:55It was also published there.
00:55:58And when it was my residence, they stopped me here.
00:56:03They searched there.
00:56:06Who will take responsibility for that?
00:56:08I was not present.
00:56:10They searched my mother-in-law's residence.
00:56:13This is their conspiracy.
00:56:40The Republican who said that the British reporter needs to go back to the United Kingdom.
00:56:45Signal group chat on Yemen strikes has now been leaked.
00:56:49The messaging app was used to discuss the airstrikes
00:56:52and this has led to a big controversy across the United States of America.
00:57:11You have a major migrant problem.
00:57:14You should care about your own borders.
00:57:17Do you care about people from your country?
00:57:21What about all the women that are raped by migrants?
00:57:24Do you care about American lives being put at risk?
00:57:29I don't care about your fake news.
00:57:33Do you have a relevant question?
00:57:35This is an American journalist.
00:57:38I'm an American and I'd like to hear your answer to what she's asking.
00:57:42I'm not answering her question because I don't care about her network.
00:57:45If you would like to ask, I can answer.
00:57:50That was a very public spot that has been captured on camera.
00:57:53Republican Marjorie versus a British reporter.
00:57:56Now this spot happened because the British reporter had specifically asked questions
00:58:00with regards to the signal chat leak.
00:58:03This has become a big controversy in the United States of America.
00:58:06The questions were being asked about the signal group chat leak
00:58:10with regards to the Yemen airstrikes that have now been leaked.
00:58:13The message app was being used to discuss the airstrikes
00:58:16and the precise time of that has now been published
00:58:20along with the screenshot of the entire chat which has now come out.
00:58:24This is a big controversy which is brewing in the United States of America.
00:58:35It's the US defense secretary also who in fact had texted the start time
00:58:40and then the planning that was being done to kill the Yohuti militant.
00:58:44My colleague Shivani Sharma is joining me.
00:58:46Shivani, it's not just in the United States but we are seeing the world
00:58:50sitting up and taking notice of this leaked signal chat.
00:58:53Very embarrassing situation for the US administration.
00:59:23They sent off this journalist in a group where they were sharing
00:59:27some important messages from the signal chat.
00:59:30And we must tell our viewers that the US administration
00:59:33has also spammed yesterday.
00:59:35And it was a mistake that the editor of the Atlantic,
00:59:38he was added in the signal message chat discussing the existence of the warplanes.
00:59:43They also claimed that there were no major plans that were being shared
00:59:48when this particular journalist was added.
00:59:50Thanks a lot.
00:59:52Thank you Shivani for giving us details.
00:59:53It's not just the United States of America which is now at the moment
00:59:56the administration feeling the heat of it.
00:59:58Everyone is now sitting up and taking notice of this leaked chat.
01:00:05It's the US defense secretary now, Pete,
01:00:07who texted the start time of the planned killing of a Yohuti militant in Yemen.
01:00:12These chats are from the 15th of March along with details of further US airstrikes.
01:00:17Now this normally would be a very closely guarded secret.
01:00:20But this was revealed in the follow-up report which was done by the Atlantic,
01:00:24which was published on Wednesday.
01:00:26Screenshots of the chat released by the Atlantic
01:00:28bear very hard proof of what exactly went down.
01:00:31The Trump administration still continues to attack the editor-in-chief of the Atlantic
01:00:36and they are downplaying the security breach.
01:00:42The Atlantic published a follow-up report.
01:00:45It is more damning than the previous one.
01:00:48This time the Atlantic editor-in-chief posted parts of the chat
01:00:52detailing the Yemen attack in the Signal group.
01:00:55It detailed the F-18 launch and drone strikes.
01:00:58The report released the entire Signal chat
01:01:01among Trump's senior national security officials on Wednesday.
01:01:05This comes a day after the US president's national security advisor,
01:01:09Michael Walz, in a television interview,
01:01:11accepted responsibility for the group chat.
01:01:15I take responsibility. I built the group.
01:01:19But look, that's the part that we have to figure out.
01:01:23And that's the part that we... Embarrassing? Yes.
01:01:26But Pete and I are veterans. We know these operations.
01:01:30We're going to get to the bottom of it.
01:01:32We have... I just talked to Elon on the way here.
01:01:35We've got the best technical minds looking at how this happened.
01:01:38But I can tell you, I can tell you for 100%,
01:01:42I don't know this guy. I know him by his horrible reputation.
01:01:47White House continued to slam the Atlantic editor-in-chief,
01:01:50questioning his credibility and downplaying the security breach.
01:01:54White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt
01:01:57posted Atlantic's follow-up report on X, calling it a hoax.
01:02:02US Vice President J.D. Vance in his X post said
01:02:06that Jeffrey Goldberg oversold the report.
01:02:09Mike Walsh invited the Atlantic editor-in-chief to the Signal Group
01:02:13and while all guns are trained at him,
01:02:15the US National Security Advisor continues to enjoy full support from the President.
01:02:22Well, I think it's a question I've been asked now
01:02:26and I've given a few answers and they've all been the same.
01:02:29We have an amazing group.
01:02:31Our national security now is stronger than it's ever been.
01:02:35We have had a very, very successful numerous attacks on that area.
01:02:40These are people that shoot down ships, not only our ships,
01:02:43ships all over the world.
01:02:44They're shooting down right out of the water and damaging them badly
01:02:48or they're going down.
01:02:49They're also shooting anything that happens to be flying in the area.
01:02:52We hit them very, very hard.
01:02:55There was no classified information as I understand it.
01:02:59They used an app, if you want to call it an app,
01:03:04that a lot of people use, a lot of people in government use,
01:03:07a lot of people in the media use.
01:03:09And I think I'll ask Mike.
01:03:11Mike is here. Do you want to respond to that, please?
01:03:13Yes, Mr. President. You asked about lessons.
01:03:15I think there's a lot of lessons.
01:03:17There's a lot of journalists in this city who have made big names for themselves
01:03:21making up lies about this President,
01:03:24whether it's the Russia hoax or making up lies about Gold Star families.
01:03:28And this one in particular, I've never met, don't know, never communicated with.
01:03:33And we are looking into and reviewing how the heck he got into this room.
01:03:38But I'll tell you what, the world owes President Trump a favor.
01:03:42The Signal Gate of Yemen attack has triggered Senate members
01:03:46to call for resignation of the top security officials.
01:03:49But the Trump administration continues to downplay the security breach
01:03:54of the leak of attack plans on legal and technical grounds.
01:03:58Bureau Report, India Today.
01:04:09Amit, the global war that is taking place with regards to the trade tariffs,
01:04:13it's the External Affairs Minister, S.J. Shankar,
01:04:15who has spoken about the US-India trade talks.

01:04:21India-US are discussing the bilateral trade very extensively.
01:04:25This is a statement which has come in from the External Affairs Minister, S.J. Shankar.
01:04:29And this comes amidst the global war over the trade tariffs
01:04:32that the United States has now started.
01:04:35External Affairs Minister says that the trade talks are on track.
01:04:38Active and intense trade discussions are ongoing
01:04:41between India and the United States of America.
01:04:43India and US are discussing the trade talks intensively.
01:04:49Now we have seen how there is a trade war that has now started taking place
01:04:54between the United States and many parts of the world.
01:04:58It's Canada which is facing the heat.
01:05:00India also on certain exports is at the moment feeling the heat of it.
01:05:04Let's listen into what the External Affairs Minister, S.J. Shankar, said.
01:05:10On trade, we had a very open discussion.
01:05:14And the result of that discussion was that the Prime Minister and the President agreed
01:05:21that we would conclude, you rightly said, not a free trade agreement
01:05:27but a bilateral trade agreement by fall this year.
01:05:31And that is what is currently under discussion.
01:05:36We have a team here.
01:05:38By the way, it's not that they are kicking off the discussion.
01:05:42My colleague, the Trade Minister, the Commerce Minister was in the US last month.
01:05:49And since then actually we have been working the trade account through virtual means.
01:05:55So there is a very active and intense trade discussion going on at this point of time.
01:06:04My colleague Shivani Sharma joining me on the story.
01:06:06Shivani, even as we are speaking we know that a delegation from the United States of America is in India.
01:06:11And there are active trade discussions that are ongoing between India and the United States of America.
01:06:18As we were hearing Dr. S.J. Shankar, he was saying that how India is working together with the United States for a trade agreement.
01:06:26And we also see the development since President Trump has taken over.
01:06:30He has been changing dimensions in terms of increasing tariffs.
01:06:34And India is working with America to improve the trade ties with the United States.
01:06:40Not only this, but India is also working on a multi-domain platform with the other nations.
01:06:46To hear when we were listening to Dr. S.J. Shankar, he was mentioning that his counterpart on commerce, the Commerce Minister,
01:06:53he had already visited the United States where he had a number of meetings with the officials out there.
01:06:59And the team of the United States is in India to work on the trade agreement.
01:07:03So India is working together to improve the ties in the trade domain with the United States.
01:07:09And he also mentioned about China, how the chemistry between India and China has changed.
01:07:14Because India has been transforming on the defense platform, the diplomatic forum.
01:07:18And now the world is looking at India in a different way.
01:07:23Thank you Shivani, giving us those details.
01:07:25The world is looking now at India with regards to what trades and how the tariffs will play out.
01:07:30The External Affairs Minister making it very clear that both US and India are indulging in active and intensive trade discussions.
01:07:40From Sambhal to Bhairaich, in Uttar Pradesh there is a big storm over the fairs celebrating the legacy of
01:07:47Saeed Salar Masood Ghazni, who was the nephew of the invader Mohammed Ghazni.
01:07:52Now this continues to rage on. There is a controversy also that has erupted over his Mazar in Bhairaich.
01:07:58Now this is a place where the Hindu groups are claiming that there is a Suryakund that exists.
01:08:03My colleague Samar Shivastav has filed this report.
01:08:09After the ban on the Neja Mela in Sambhal, the spotlight has now shifted to Bhairaich in UP.
01:08:24Where the annual Jeth Mela at the Dargah of Salar Ghazi is under scrutiny.
01:08:33Nephew of Mahmood Ghaznavi, Saeed Salar Masood Ghazi.
01:08:40The controversy around this name and the Magbara is high in the state of Uttar Pradesh and obviously in the country.
01:08:50Where actually the place where he died and what actually the controversy is.
01:08:56To find out, India Today TV has reached Bhairaich to understand the ground reality behind this particular position,
01:09:06situation and also at a time when there are clouds looming over the suspension of this Mela in Bhairaich just like Sambhal.
01:09:19Hindu outfits have demanded an excavation at the site claiming the existence of an ancient Suryakund and temple.
01:09:31The entire Hindu community and our Sanatani organization is adamant that this Mela should be shut down.
01:09:45Muhammad Ghori has looted 17 times and he has been with us since childhood.
01:09:50I am saying this with conviction, dig up the history and learn how our uncle is looting.
01:09:56He has done the 17th and 18th attacks on India and he has looted the whole of India.
01:10:04Hindu organizations have also submitted a memorandum demanding the excavation of Salar's Mazar.
01:10:11After the death of Syed Salar Masood during the war of 1033 A.D. by Maharaja Sohail Dev,
01:10:18after the death of Masood, after 200 years, by Feroz Shah Tughlaq, the Surya Mandir was demolished and the Suryakund was demolished and a Dargah was built.
01:10:28For this reason, the Mela should be shut down in an unconstitutional manner.
01:10:33He has said that the Mela should be shut down.
01:10:36At the same time, Hindu organizations have also claimed that the Suryakund is not the Mazar where Salar's Mazar was built,
01:10:42but it was demolished by Feroz Shah Tughlaq and the Surya Mandir was established there.
01:10:47And the miracles that happen there in the name of Ghazi Baba are the miracles of Suryakund.
01:10:52This is actually Suryakund.
01:10:55And all the kings of Ayodhya, who used to sit in the Surya Vansh, used to come here to worship their deity.
01:11:05The Surya Mandir was very huge here.
01:11:07Maharaj Sohail Dev ji, where Ghazi Mian committed atrocities and demolished our temple,
01:11:19so our aim is that we should get back our old temples, our Suryakund, our Sanatan Dharma.
01:11:31This is the place where the annual fair is held.
01:11:35A notice outside the committee office has now been put up,
01:11:39that states, due to unforeseen reasons, the event has been halted.
01:11:45The exact place where Salar Ghazi died is, though it has been converted into a proper Mazar,
01:11:52and there is yearly Mela, which happens in the month of May.
01:11:57Though both communities, be it Hindus or Muslims, both come here in this particular Mela,
01:12:03but these pictures from inside clearly tell you the story about the scenario.
01:12:08The Mela, the Neja Mela in Sambal has been cancelled by the administration.
01:12:12No official word has come for the Behraish Mela, which is called the Jeth Mela,
01:12:16which is, which happens in the memory of Sayyed Salar Ghazi.
01:12:20With the help of the administration and everyone, we want the Mela to be held here.
01:12:25There is a lot of commotion here.
01:12:27A lot of people have a lot of commotion here.
01:12:29There is nothing to worry about.
01:12:32We want the Mela to be held the way it has been held for centuries.
01:12:37And what that party is saying is wrong.
01:12:43Salar Masood Ghazi was the nephew of Mahmood Ghaznavi,
01:12:47born during his uncle's campaign against Kannauj in 1015 AD,
01:12:53and allegedly played a role in looting Somnath Temple in Gujarat in the 11th century.
01:13:01Every citizen should have the right to respect and respect the great men of India.
01:13:08No aggression should be tolerated.
01:13:17Aggression should not be tolerated,
01:13:21because it is against the principles of patriotism.
01:13:26And independent India cannot accept such a traitor.
01:13:34The controversy is not just about a dargah or a fair.
01:13:39It's a debate over history, faith and identity.
01:13:44With Samarth Srivastava in Bhairaj, UP, Bureau Report, India Today.
