00:00After we have made a quote to a customer and they like what we're going to offer to buy
00:26their watch for, they send it to us, and that's when our team takes over and takes that watch
00:31and cares for it.
00:32We make sure that everything on the watch is authentic, we make sure that the watch
00:36is performing the best that it can, and we refurbish it to look like new.
00:41A service for us typically involves disassembling the watch, inspecting all of the components,
00:46looking for any damage or wear, and that typically takes place by completely disassembling the
00:51watch, cleaning it ultrasonically in a specialized cleaning machine, and then when it comes out
00:56of that machine, it's inspected again, and then we perform timing adjustments to make
01:00sure that the watch is performing as perfectly as possible.
01:05And once we do that, we take photos of the watch and we list it on our site, and they're
01:09there for all of our customers to look at and think about what they want to buy.
01:13We stand behind what we do, you see what we have here, you see our watchmakers and our
01:17team, and we care about that watch as much as you're going to, and we want you to have
01:21a peaceful mind about owning it for a lifetime.
01:25I can remember the exact moment when I decided to start the company.
01:29It was, one day I had a lunch with a friend of mine named Jay, who decided to sell his
01:33watch to a local jewelry store after unsuccessfully trying to sell it online, and then two weeks
01:39later he went there to buy something for his wife and saw it for sale for almost double
01:45what he was offered, and at that exact moment, that's when I realized that there should be
01:50a better way for individuals to transact in this secondary watch market.
01:55I mean, the coolest thing about a watch to me is that it's completely mechanical.
01:59I have enough vibrations and beeps and buzzes, I just don't need them, just to think about
02:04something as cool as they look, but the fact that on the inside, there's a small machine
02:11running on your wrist all day, keeping up with the time.
02:15Even after 10 years of being involved in watchmaking, I still see lots of watches that really get
02:20me excited.
02:22My absolute favorite watch that I've ever worked on, really cool old Navitimer 806,
02:29Top Time 810s, these really neat pieces from the 40s, 50s, and 60s.
02:34Just the level of finish involved with them, their timekeeping accuracy, and the stories
02:39behind them.
02:40You just don't get that anywhere else.
02:43We strive to create a uniquely better way to buy and to sell a watch, and that starts
02:48with the customer experience for both a buyer and a seller.
02:52By hiring highly empathetic, knowledgeable employees, we've been able to offer a digital
02:58experience that is also married with a personal experience, and I think you can't just have
03:05one or the other, you have to combine both of those.
