00:23will now try to sail the big vessel 3105 of the China Coast Guard

00:27which is located 95 nautical miles from Zambales.

00:30This is one of the ongoing missions of our authorities

00:33for the sovereignty of the Philippines.

00:39This is Philippine Coast Guard Vessel BRP Bagacay.

00:43MRRV 4410.

00:46You are advised that you are currently sailing

00:49within the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone.

00:52The mission is also led by Sea Woman 2nd Class Stephanie Villalon

00:56and other PCG personnel who formed the group Angels of the Sea.

01:01The Philippine Coast Guard specifically chose women

01:05as Angels of the Sea

01:08to create a soft approach in handling maritime disputes

01:13within the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone.

01:17The voice of diplomacy.

01:19Courageous and motivated.

01:21Not only for themselves but also for the country.

01:24I didn't thought that it would be this risky.

01:29But I am actually willing to take the risk.

01:36The Angels of the Sea completed an all-women training program

01:39that avoids critical encounters in water.

01:43They have things that they can do more effectively and better.

01:49Especially here in our trust of communicating

01:53with our maritime law enforcement counterparts.

01:57Their voice seems to be reaching out to the faraway country

02:01in the midst of rising tensions in our ocean.

02:05I am a kind of woman who inspires people.

02:13Not just because I'm willing to fight

02:16but because I want to make fighting unnecessary.
