00:00The more frequent presence of the Philippines with America and other allied countries in the West Philippine Sea is expected,

00:07just like what was done yesterday.

00:09But it seems that China didn't like it when it conducted its own maritime patrol in the West Philippine Sea.

00:29particularly in the face of communist China's aggression in the region.

00:41by Defense Secretary Gilbert Yodoro at Camp Aguinaldo yesterday,

01:34We do not seek war, we seek peace.

01:38But those who long for peace must prepare for war.

01:41The Department of National Defense and the Department of Foreign Affairs has yet to respond to China's statements,

01:46as well as to its cooperation with the Philippine Joint Maritime Patrols and its allies.

01:52But according to an international studies and security and defense analyst,

01:56this is the reaction of China after Hegseth's visit.

02:02China is showing that we will not give up.

02:05Well, it's expected.

02:07Because it's a part of the focus of the Trump administration.

02:14Yesterday, Yodoro was asked if America has a second deployment in the Philippines

02:19of the Mid-Range Capability or MRC Typhoon Missile.

02:23We will neither confirm nor deny any deployments.

02:27We will train as we see fit.

02:30And the Philippine Armed Forces will equip as it sees fit.

02:35This kind of equipment is important, according to some experts,

02:39because the Philippines does not have enough equipment

02:42to make use of the security and defense equipment it purchased.

02:48Just like the BrahMos Missile from India, which needs to be maximized.

02:54The problem with the BrahMos is that you need a kill chain.

02:59You need radar, you need drones, you need satellites.

03:03You have missiles, but you can't see your enemies.

03:06That's a big problem.

03:08For now, only America can and must provide it to the Philippines

03:13according to the Mutual Defense Treaty of the two countries.
