00:00Another drug war victim called on President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to help him give justice to his son, Harley Valbuena of PTV, in exchange for the country.

00:16We would like to call on Mr. President to give us a chance,

00:24to give justice to the policemen, not only to Mr. Duterte, but also to Mr. Bartolilla Rulfay, one of the generals who carried out the attack.

00:40This is the call of Ginang Dalia Cuartero, the mother of the drug war victim Jesus Cuartero,

00:46who was killed in 2019 in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, in the program Mike Abelive.

00:54Ginang Cuartero told the story of what happened the day her 26-year-old son was killed.

01:01They were drinking, and someone called him.

01:08The person who called him was very rude.

01:12He stood up and said goodbye.

01:15He said, I will leave first, but I will come back.

01:19But it was already 3 o'clock in the early morning.

01:22He did not come back.

01:25We heard that someone was killed in our area.

01:31They tried to file a complaint with the Commission on Human Rights.

01:37But it did not work because no one wanted to investigate.

01:41Even though she could not say if it was true that her son was using illegal drugs,

01:45Ginang grew up to be an educated woman and a professional.

01:52She also vented her anger at the people who tried to judge her and the other parents of the victims of the drug war.

02:00Don't judge us because our children are addicts.

02:07They deserve to die.

02:08We are weak because I am their mother.

02:13I do not have a son.

02:15My son does not grow up to be a good father.

02:19I just want to be proud that I am not a good mother.

02:24Your victimization, no matter what, is a punishment.

02:28Ginang was pleased with the arrest of the International Criminal Court of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

02:34She is confident that after a few years, justice will be done for her beloved son.

02:42We feel that this is just the first step.

02:46We still have a long way to go.

02:49But we are confident that justice will be done.
