00:00The other divisions performing, ready to do it again, 2.50 main here in Philly.
00:08Great start, RJ Hampshire.
00:10He got a second chance, he's making the most of it.
00:13Hampshire with the whole shot.
00:15Here comes Hammacher again, and Deegan got out of his rhythm there, but he hangs onto it, he's on the inside.
00:20You're talking about redemption, being down in the first start and now being in the front.
00:25That's what you talk, taking the best, taking advantage of the situation, and RJ did that, now exactly where he wants to be.
00:32Seth is right there, and Deegan just made his way up into third place as well.
00:36Two riders from the 2.50 East Division run, first and second.
00:39The West Division points leader, Deegan, runs third.
00:43Hammacher really came out of that first corner great, too, because he was probably about fifth position,
00:48and he stuck up, got into almost first place, but right here in second, great start.
00:55Three Hammacher.
00:56Great work, Cody Shock.
00:57Yes.
00:58Aboard that 37.
00:59On the inside, trying the outside move here on Deegan, and he's pressing him.
01:04There's no love lost between these, good.
01:06What a move by Cody going around the outside.
01:08I think Hayden was trying to block it too much.
01:10Just Cody rode around the outside, but Hayden, Deegan, just like that heat race,
01:15I'm just going to allow this thing to come with me.
01:17Don't want these guys to get in between too much.
01:20Deegan gets back by Cody Shock.
01:22Well, you think about Deegan, too.
01:24He is the first guy in the West Division, so from a points and championship perspective,
01:30he's in perfect position.
01:32Meanwhile, these two guys, only two points separate him, 56 of Hammacher and the 24 of R.J.
01:37Hampshire, so the battle is on.
01:41Not only did Deegan get by Shock, but now he's pressuring Hammacher for that second spot.
01:47Cole Davies putting pressure on Cody Shock.
01:49Look at Shock get off that corner.
01:51That was an incredible corner exit and almost got back by Hayden Deegan.
01:56Now Davies takes advantage of that and goes around the outside.
01:59Yeah, these guys are going back and forth.
02:01Then the one guy who got caught up that was out front, top three in that first one,
02:06is Julian Barbera.
02:07And looking at him, Lee, he's down in 18th position, so not the restart he wanted.
02:12Definitely tough to end up things happening like that, but it's a long race.
02:16R.J. Hampshire aboard the Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna leads over the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki of Seth Hammacher.
02:26I'm going to tell you right now, the number 100 of the rookie Cole Davies is incredible through the whoops section.
02:34We talked about blitzing through the whoops.
02:37He has been absolutely flying through that part of the track and other parts of the track as well,
02:44but that is where I think could be a passing point for Cole Davies.
02:49Yeah, what he's doing, R.C., he's actually slingshotting around the outside.
02:53Most of these guys are going in that corner and kind of pivoting more of a 90.
02:56What Cole's doing, he's using that whole berm and getting down the right side of his whoops,
03:00so he's able to get beside one of these guys.
03:03No matter what they do, he'll be able to go around them up the inside.
03:06Here it comes.
03:07This is where Ricky's talking about, into the whoops.
03:09There he goes.
03:10See if he makes up time.
03:11Oh, he does.
03:12See?
03:13He did.
03:15Deegan looks on the inside of Hamaker.
03:17Close but not quite close enough.
03:19That's allowed Hampshire to skip away a bit.
03:21Deegan setting up an inside move.
03:23Wasn't an option.
03:27Here comes Davies around the outside.
03:30I like this outside line Davies has got around the outside first corner.
03:35That inside rut's starting to get chewed up.
03:38These guys aren't getting a lot of traction coming out of there.
03:40It's getting accelerating bumps.
03:42Yeah, Cole's doing that in a few different spots.
03:45He's just riding one line on the outside of the main line, and so he's putting up there.
03:50Davies gets his teammate JT.
03:52Now Deegan comes back over the finish jump.
03:54I was going to mention exactly what James said.
03:58Davies is going where everybody else isn't, and that's giving him a smoother racetrack, and he's able to carry more momentum because there's simply not a rut.
04:05You see him cut underneath the rut there.
04:07He's doing that all the way around the racetrack, and that's only going to work more for him as his tracks start to deteriorate.
04:13James, you know it more than anyone.
04:15There's a feeling and a sense of confidence when you are able to get your first win, and I think that's what we're seeing with the 100.
04:23Side by side with Hamaka.
04:25Davies is on the inside.
04:27He's gone from fourth to third to second.
04:30Yeah, he's just got better lines, and I think being behind these guys is allowing him to see that, and those guys are getting stuck in the rut.
04:35Has a nice move by Seth, kind of snuck up on the inside of him, but let's see if Cole can stay close to him because this is where he has that line around the outside.
04:43We're just going to put him on the inside of this next section.
04:45There he goes.
04:46It really pays off at the beginning of the whoops.
04:48He has more momentum.
04:50See, there he goes.
04:51Leaping by Seth Hamaka.
04:53Back in the second.
04:54Deegan with a huge move.
04:55He got Buck Wilde coming off that triple into the corner.
04:59I thought he was almost fully out of control.
05:03That was an incredible save by the third.
05:04I don't think he almost was.
05:06He was out of control.
05:07That's skills, but...
05:09Okay, pressure on the leader, R.J. Hamshire.
05:13What's great about...
05:14Pass for the lead.
05:16Cole Davies has made very quick work of the competition.
05:19I was going to say what's great about that outside line around the first corner that Cole Davies has taken.
05:24And it sets him up to be on the right-hand side, inside, going into the right-hand 180 corner.
05:30Like...
05:31Oh!
05:33Yeah, he just got back.
05:34He wanted to hit that triple.
05:36Could you imagine if he had missed his rear brake?
05:39So, this is why I was talking about this outside line, James.
05:42Yeah, it just goes around the outside.
05:43And again, it puts him back on the inside over here.
05:46And it's just allowing Cole to...
05:47As J.T. said, he's going where everybody isn't.
05:50Being behind those guys, he's seen it.
05:51And now look at him.
05:52And he's starting to get away from him.
05:55Let's check in with Will Christian.
05:57Will?
05:58Okay, so I'm just going to ask Ricky there and James.
06:02What you see in Cole Davies, how far off is it for where he should be?
06:07Because talking to the mechanic team, his family, I just think he may be the only one
06:14who doesn't realize that maybe he isn't supposed to be as good as he is right now.
06:19This guy, Anaheim 1, was his first professional race.
06:23He was supposed to be amateurs for another year.
06:26And Lackey, his mechanic, was telling me today that Seattle, he wasn't even comfortable with
06:31his bike when he got that win.
06:32He just kind of rode around it.
06:34So how is he doing this?
06:36And is this just really unprecedented at his young age and lack of experience?
06:39I'm unbelievably impressed by just his progression.
06:43And listen, I've talked about it.
06:45Oh, he's going to try to get the pass down.
06:48Deegan on the inside of Hamaka.
06:49There's a bit of push and shove there.
06:51Hamaka hangs tough.
06:53Deegan's trying to press the issue.
06:55Two different rhythms through there.
06:57Deegan gets that high line and gets the spot from Seth.
07:00Yeah, he made that high line work for him.
07:02Kept that momentum up.
07:04And that was great riding by Seth.
07:06Seth could have used up some track, but he didn't.
07:09Great sportsmanship and riding by both riders right there.
07:12Yeah, and I think that's where Seth really looking at the big picture.
07:15But, yeah, when you go back to what Will was talking about with Cole Davies,
07:19you know, yeah, I think he's well beyond his age, I mean, from what he's doing.
07:23But then when you look at him riding, what I get impressed with is just the line selections,
07:27how he was able to get around those guys.
07:29That's a veteran move to be able to just open up because I'm sure he hasn't wrote any of those lines all day long.
07:35To be able to have that fortitude, to be able to think outside and be able to use those lines,
07:39he was able to get around them.
07:40And that's the part that impresses me along with that 3.2-second lead he has right now.
07:45And when I watch him, you know, a little more detailed is that he doesn't even look like he's trying.
07:52Obviously, he's trying.
07:53And then the strength that he has and the whoops.
07:55And like you said, James, being able to take different lines.
07:59And we even spoke about this off air earlier today about when some guys get behind a rider,
08:05they tend to follow them.
08:06And others are very good at taking alternate lines like Cole Davies.
08:10And it just gives you another option.
08:12And Cole Davies has shown us just how effective that could be.
08:16And I go back to his progression from last year and when he was racing the SMX Next Division.
08:24I mean, he looks like a complete veteran.
08:27Yeah.
08:28Hayden Deegan aboard his Monster Energy.
08:30Yamaha pressing RJ Hampshire.
08:32Speaking of Monster Energy, he can stock up on him now at Acme Markets.
08:36So, as they run, RJ Hampshire would be in the lead of the 250 East Division Championship by just two points over Seth Amica.
08:46Tom Villal, who runs in fifth on track at the moment, would fall from a tie for first to third.
08:52But we've still got 6.14 left on the clock, plus a lap.
08:56Lots of racing still to be done.
08:57Oh, hold on to it, RJ.
08:59That's going to allow Deegan to get closer and closer.
09:02Whoa, how close that was for Hayden to protect that lap.
09:06But that's how important and much he wanted to make that pass.
09:09Because I believe RJ was holding him up.
09:11And don't forget, Cole Davies is still in this championship, you know, with him.
09:15And, hey, Deegan, he's behind his teammate, which is, at this point, just riding a phenomenal race.
09:22And he had to make that move.
09:23So, mistake by RJ allowed him.
09:25Yeah, still two races to go for this 250 West Division after this round.
09:32So, Cole still has a chance.
09:35But check out this replay.
09:37RJ Hampshire is going to wheel tap and he misses the third one.
09:41RJ doing RJ things.
09:44But watch how close this was with Deegan.
09:46It looked a lot closer.
09:47It just goes around the outside.
09:49RJ makes a little mistake coming out of that corner.
09:51That's all she wrote.
09:52Right now, Ricky, Hamaka and Hamshai would be tied on points as they race.
10:06Oh, Seth.
10:08Right now, Ricky, Hamaka and Hamshai would be tied on points as they race.
10:15I love you.
10:15I love you.
10:16So, who else are you?
10:17I love you.
10:19It is.
10:23Yeah, of course.
10:31I love you.
10:33But you're just kind of mean.
10:34We're just kind of Stan.
10:35You're being the wrong person.
10:35And he's right.
10:36I'm Black.
10:37I'm happy that you're right.
10:38I'm happy my sister is here.
10:39But you're all right.
10:39I'm the other one.
10:40He's right.
10:41I'm sorry.
10:41antee Bye.
