00:00We have taken immediate steps to ensure that a team under the Ministry of Education is sent immediately.
00:18First, involving the medical team from the universities that have hospitals.
00:26Including Universities of Malaya, USIM, UPM and UKM that have experts in medical assistance.
00:40Second, the KPT also sent a team of psychologists.
00:46For those who are facing trauma.
00:52A team of counsellors was sent together.
00:58As we have seen earlier, the counsellors are not only in charge of the adults, but also the children.
01:09They also work with other departments such as the Department of Social Welfare.
01:14Third, we also sent a team of medical students from various universities.
01:27As we have seen earlier, the counsellors came from various universities, as far as UNIMAS.
01:37From Sarawak, there were three representatives who came together to provide assistance.
01:41Because this is the type of team that we have built so far.
01:44Involving those who need immediate care for the students to be on the field.
01:55Thank God, I was able to monitor and follow up on what they were doing.
02:01For the next few days, to ensure that the situation here can be provided and handled properly.
02:10In addition to that, the Ministry of Education has also made sure that the students are also involved.
02:18Those who are affected by this incident.
02:23And in the initial stage, I have announced that there are four people.
02:27But the latest information is that there is an addition.
02:32Because the previous students were in their respective villages.
02:36And only after a day or two later did they return.
02:41And they found that their families were also involved.
02:46And I have asked those involved to register with us to provide assistance to the students involved.
02:55First, our first-year students have sent the assistance.
03:00And this is also what we will convey to those who have just registered.
03:05So far, we have a total of 9 students, families involved.
03:17Maybe there are 1 or 2 more who will return to see the condition of their homes.
03:22Anyway, we are ready to provide assistance.
03:28It's not just about providing assistance in the form of cash.
03:33But we have also informed those involved so that their registration on Monday can be a little more relaxed.
03:44Meaning they don't have to go on the day of the incident if they find it a little difficult for them to move.
03:52So we provide space.
03:53I have also informed the university to ensure that the time for them to register is given a little space.
04:03So that they can prepare to return to their respective campuses.
04:09Is there a specific number of groups?
04:13In the first-year student association, we have allocated RM2,000 to each of these students.
04:21As far as I can see, there was a student who reported to me that his computer was broken.
04:31I have promised him that we will replace it.
04:36And secondly, there was a student whose house was entered by someone else.
04:43Even when the house was left.
04:45So that's what I asked for.
04:48So the assistance that we provide is not only in the form of cash.
04:51But also in the form of in-kind assistance so that their education is not affected by this incident.
