00:00This is our test panel.
00:15The boys put this together to show the end client or the end user what they're going
00:19to get.
00:20Colours, the tile, the grating, size etc.
00:24What we've got on the edge of the tile is a finger guard which is grabbed running in
00:28the pool.
00:29You can just jump up and then this bottom section is the foot rest so if you can imagine
00:36being in a pool in a deep section where you can't touch the floor, this is there for the
00:40rest.
00:42In the deep area obviously when you need a rest rather than just holding on to the side
00:45you've got somewhere to put your foot to get a bit of rest in.
00:49This is the finish grate which slots in to the tile which is what you see right along
00:58the edge of the pool.
00:59It just goes to say that what you see on this test panel, even though the shape is what
01:07you'll see out in the pool, this test panel is built a little bit bigger than the end
01:14product as such.
01:16Hence the reason why it looks a little bit bigger on the edge etc.
01:27This level of tarmac is actually 20mm, that's like 20mm lower than finish floor.
01:35If you look at this section, this is your curb edge so that basically is finish floor.
01:46The reason why this is higher is because we need access for all the concrete and the crane
01:52and everything to go over and get over to the plant room so this has had to be in place
01:56for that because the water table being so high everything was sinking so we had to
02:00introduce what they call a hole road, an access road just to get into the machinery.
02:06So what you've got now is literally more or less your level of what it's going to be finished
02:10like.
02:17At the moment we're just going in to do some remedial work to the concrete and then what
02:21we've got to do is introduce a tent.
02:23So we're putting a tent right over the top of the pool and that is to make sure we keep
02:28the temperature consistent to over 5 degrees and also to keep the weather out which helps
02:34the process of the render, the painting, the tiling.
02:39So when we put the tiles in the render the temperature's got to be above 5 otherwise
02:43it'll fail because of the cold getting into the mortar and obviously with the rain, if
02:50the rain gets on the render it's going to be ruined anyway.
02:53Sometimes though when you pour the concrete it doesn't go off enough to take the shutters
03:00away so you've got to leave it a bit longer but the problem is then when you leave it
03:04longer it goes off too much so when you take the shutter off you're left with this smooth
03:13section.
