00:00You're presenting Gracie Abrams.
00:01Yes.
00:02You know the power of being a songwriter.
00:05Tell us a bit about what that's like to being able to, you know, represent and celebrate
00:09other women in this very male-dominated space.
00:12I feel like we are changing the narrative that it is male-dominated.
00:15All of these women here are working, whether it's behind the scenes or interviews, like
00:19we're all doing our thing.
00:20And I feel like it's super important to showcase how transformative women are.
00:24We are like chameleons.
00:26We can do this and we can do that.
00:27We can be soft and we can be masculine and we can do all the things that the boys do.
00:31Sometimes better.
00:32Yep.
00:33Sometimes better than the guys.
00:34And what's in store for you in 2025?
00:35Like what are things that you could tease that, you know, that we could expect that
00:39you're working on?
00:40You know what?
00:41One of the most powerful things I've ever done in my whole life is become a mother.
00:44So I do have a children's book coming out this year in June.
00:47It's called Everywhere You Are.
00:49It comes out June 24th.
00:50So I'm super excited to just give back in that way, especially to the next generation
00:54and just let them know that they're loved.
00:56Speaking of mothers, we have one of the ultimate mothers being honored with Mother of the Year
01:00tonight, Tina Knowles.
01:01How has she and Beyonce and Solange has inspired you on your journey?
01:05I mean, it really comes down to looking at them as a family forward business.
01:12Yes.
01:13It's so nice to be able to work with your family because I think any career tends to
01:17bring you a little bit of a separation from your family.
01:21So I feel like her being able to make costumes for Destiny's Child all the way into Beyonce's
01:25career, her being by her mom the entire time, working with their family has just been so
01:32influential and just shows me that it doesn't take separation.
01:35Sometimes it takes being a unit to become the best ever.
01:38So grounding.
01:39Yes.
01:40Yes.
01:41Being united with your family and making sure to just have a really great relationship with
01:43them too.
01:44Yes, absolutely.
01:45I agree.
01:46And I'm so happy to see you here, by the way.
01:47Like you're just doing such an amazing job.
01:49You're so smart, articulate, and you do your research and I'm just so happy for you and
01:54I'm glad you're here.
01:55Thank you so much for the support and for the compliments and I just have to say I love
01:58your dress.
01:59Thank you so much.
02:00It's by Laquan Smith.
02:01It's styled by Morgan and we feel good tonight.
02:04Yes, we do.
02:05Absolutely.
02:06You're amazing and thank you so much, Victoria, for talking to us.
02:08You're always an inspiration.
02:09Thank you so much.
02:10Thank you so much.
