00:00Hello Sookie Waterhouse! Welcome! You look incredible!
00:04Thank you! Yes! I love your dress! Oh my gosh!
00:06Thank you very much! It's a Valentino dress, which I'm really into. It's crazy. It's got
00:11like every single thing that I'm into. Lace, a little fur trim, we've got a feather boa,
00:16that's a natural bow. It's crazy.
00:18Where I'm like, I think this might be like my spirit dress as well,
00:21just like everything I love all compiled.
00:23Totally love it! Oh my gosh, you look dazzling!
00:25Thank you very much! Thank you!
00:27And I mean, you're presenting to ESPA tonight.
00:29I am!
00:29I mean, what a groundbreaking group. What has their music meant to you?
00:33Well, I'm excited to present to ESPA. I actually discovered them when I played at the Governor's
00:36Ball a couple of years ago, and I was completely just blown away by their live show. It's
00:41unbelievable. So yeah, the ladies like bring everything, the vocals, the whole thing,
00:46and they're getting awarded tonight. So I'm very honored that I get to give them their award and,
00:52you know, share this special moment with them.
00:53Yeah, yeah.
00:54Yes, and I love their energy, and I just love everything. Their outfits too. Oh my gosh,
00:58we have to talk about the outfits. And who's the woman that's inspiring you in music right now?
01:03Oh my god, you know what? She's here tonight. I'm just like, don't she obsessed? I'm sorry,
01:08I just can't. Like, who is it? Like, she is inspiring. I'm writing my next album right now,
01:16and just having someone show up that authentically and being so fresh and herself and like making me
01:23laugh so much even listening to her music is she just put such a smile on my face. So I
01:28make very different music from her, but I'm incredibly inspired by her.
01:31Let me see your album, Dream Woman.
01:33Oh, thank you.
01:34You released a song last month, Dream Woman. Tell us a bit about how that song
01:38is kind of representing this next musical chapter for you.
01:42Well, okay, so Dream Woman's kind of like a cousin of Sparkle Muffin, I would say,
01:45because it was one of the songs I didn't kind of quite put together. And then I kind of forgot
01:50about it. And I was like, Hang on, I love I love this song. And I finished it really quickly and
01:54wanted to put it out and I'm gonna put another one out soon as well. But they're not really Yeah,
01:59that these these ones are like in between, you know, cousins of Sparkle Muffin. I'm still I'm
02:04still Sparkle Muffin right now. We're not quite in a new era. But yeah, that that was that was,
02:12that was a song that was kind of Yeah, someone called me that Dream Woman a long time ago,
02:16and then everything went to shit. And that is how the song came about.
02:19Yep. All right, then. Well, I feel like I'm very excited for that to come out.
02:26I'm sure it's gonna be great. It's out. Okay.
02:30Got it. It's inspiring for all of us that everything has gone to shit. We come right back.
02:36Thank you so much. Thank you so much. We're so excited to see you in there. So excited to
02:40you to present to ESPA. I love it. I can't wait. And they're gonna perform. I'm very excited. Oh,
02:45yeah.
