00:00We all know that the railway sector was the one within the construction department to which the most important and urgent funding related to the PNRR and the PNC has been allocated.
00:21There has never been such a large source of funding in the history of our country, in particular for railway infrastructures, but in the face of these important funding, there were also equally strenuous time delays.
00:37In fact, it was inevitable to use a total digital approach if we wanted to achieve the equally fundamental goal of the time allocated for funding.
00:50And so what happened? In the last three years, there has been a large-scale use of both digital technologies and methodologies, and in particular information management, which is precisely the same as provided by the Code of Public Contracts.
01:11I can cite an example to be more concrete.
01:15As never before, cock-checking models have been used, which allow for better-quality construction beam models, with the aim of reducing errors, having economic advantages over time and also, since less material is wasted, a benefit from the point of view of sustainability.
01:42Equally, as regards the other aspect mentioned, that of sustainability, it must be said that there has been a strong sensitization by the management agencies of the railway lines and therefore necessarily all subjects of the line had to undertake the same line.
02:02In this case, I can cite an example. Today, which did not happen until a few years ago, it is considered a standard to use softwares that allow to calculate CO2 emissions throughout the life of the work, the so-called life cycle assessment, and therefore it is an important contribution in terms of sustainability.
02:22So, drawing some conclusions, I can say that in the last three years, and I am not afraid to be denied, there has been a paradigm shift regarding the adoption of digital technologies and the approach in terms of sustainability.
02:40I would also like to say that our company has had an important role in this phase, in the last three years, accompanying the main players of the railway infrastructure line and therefore reaffirming its role of leadership, thanks to a continuous innovation of products and services, as has been shown in today's agreement.
