00:00Bolivian President Luis Arce informed on Wednesday that by means of Supreme Decree, a national
00:06emergency situation has been declared due to damage caused by a natural disaster.
00:17These natural disasters are making us to declare a national emergency situation.
00:22Today, we have just issued the corresponding Supreme Decree, which will first allow us
00:29to expedite the damage factors, manage external financing resources, mobilize greater technical,
00:37logistical and economic resources to the affected places, and prepare a post-flood plan to repair
00:46what we are seeing in the country, given that the overall impact is already in the nine
00:52departments.
00:58Army briefings showed that these rainfalls had not been recorded in the country for over
01:03forty years.
01:04Therefore, we are really going through a very complicated situation, so we need to raise
01:10our attention from the national government to the departments thus.
01:18We are calling for an extraordinary National Council next Monday morning here in Casa Grande
01:24to be able to assess more carefully with governors from the different departments as
01:30we need to restore all areas.
01:35Many people who are unfortunately going through a very complicated situation, they can be
01:42sure that the Bolivian government is working and it will continue working to solve the
01:47problems of many families that unfortunately today are facing these predicaments as a result
01:54of natural disasters.
