00:00Well, maker as a member of Congress, how imminently are you expecting to see that travel ban?
00:07That's even more, as you said, expansive than his first terms travel ban.
00:11I don't know.
00:12But the irony is that when Trump goes around and bans people from coming to America from
00:16countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, he's banning the people who are our allies.
00:23It's people who leave these evil regimes that want to be on our side.
00:28That's why they're getting persecuted.
00:30That's why they have to give up everything they have back home to come to a free country
00:34like the United States of America.
00:36Donald Trump just doesn't get this.
00:38Remember, he dodged the draft to avoid serving in Vietnam.
00:42So he's never been on the ground in a war.
00:44He's never had to ask local allies for help, for help understanding the population, for
00:49standing alongside him in a gunfight.
00:52He's never understood what it means to be a refugee, to be someone who's trying to escape
00:57an evil regime and come to a country like America.
01:00So the Trump administration just doesn't get this.
01:04And what's most frustrating is that veterans, veterans who have served our country honorably
01:08and understand how important it is to save these allies, they're not standing up to the
01:13Trump administration.
01:14You've got a lot of Republican veterans serving in the White House.
01:17You've got Republican veterans in Congress who are privately decrying what Trump is doing.
01:22And yet they're so scared.
01:24They're so scared of Donald Trump, this draft dodger, that they won't say anything publicly.
01:29That is shameful.
01:30Why do you think that is?
01:31Because I've talked with some members of the four country caucus, Democrats and Republicans
01:35alike.
01:36They've said privately they can have fun with each other.
01:40Also talk and make and try to come up with bipartisan legislation here.
01:45What are those conversations like in the four country caucus?
01:47And are you speaking about those members of Congress when you say privately they say one
01:52thing about President Trump and publicly they say another?
01:55When I talk about Republicans who privately say one thing about Donald Trump and publicly
02:00say another, I'm talking about the majority of Republicans in Congress because they know
02:06that so much of what Musk and Trump are doing is unconstitutional.
02:11It's against the law and it's certainly against the will of Congress.
02:15And yet they're just so scared of Donald Trump.
02:17I don't know.
02:18They're losing their jobs, getting primaried by him, having Musk put in a ton of money
02:23that they're afraid to speak up.
02:24This really is starting to look like a dictatorship, an authoritarian regime where political dissent
02:31is not allowed.
02:33It's time for some political cartridge among Republicans to just say publicly what they're
02:38saying privately and what they know is the right thing to do.
