00:00Which has more destructive power, lasers or lightning?
00:03Today, to declare a final champion among all the elements we've tested head-to-head on my channel,
00:08they'll be facing off in tests against seven household objects,
00:11including a CD, a crystal ball, and a safe full of cash.
00:14Let's go!
00:16And since Laser had to defeat Lava to make it to the finals,
00:19your favorite former middle school teacher turned to laser-worlding mad genius is back,
00:23Science Bob Flugfelder.
00:25Good luck, Mark!
00:26You're so positive!
00:27Representing lightning is Mehdi Sadagdar, a.k.a. Electrobit.
00:31He left his manners in Canada and brought some shocking bits of electric machinery
00:38to show off his mastery of electrons.
00:40I know what I'm doing, kind of.
00:42But once again, for the final encore performance,
00:45I'm not going to be watching from the sidelines either,
00:47as all seven objects will have to face my X-Factor method of destruction.
00:52Which, as always, is different for each object.
00:55So for example, this lava lamp might just get turned into an actual lava lamp.
01:00And as expected at this stage in the competition,
01:02the Nerd Trash Talk commenced immediately.
01:04Lightning beats everything.
01:05I'm just worried about you surviving.
01:07Wow!
01:08And by the way, winner of today's competition gets a safe full of cash.
01:12Really?
01:13Don't get excited.
01:13Actual cash!
01:14I still got a rusted boat in my driveway from the last one.
01:17It's gonna cost you more to get rid of it.
01:18Oh my god.
01:19All right, well, let's get started.
01:20You're doomed, Bob.
01:22Lightning.
01:22And with that, it was time to start our seven-item showdown of destruction,
01:26starting with the contest to burn a CD from our personal collections.
01:29Literally.
01:30And Bob was going to get us started by using a super powerful military-grade laser
01:34to destroy Rod Stewart's greatest hits.
01:37Full choice.
01:37I'm a big Rod Stewart fan.
01:39Especially crack night.
01:40So Bob fired up both his laser and his Rod Stewart D-pad.
01:43Whoa!
01:47What?
01:47Wait, it's gone!
01:49Where's the CD?
01:49It's gone!
01:50It's like the end of Avengers.
01:52What happened?
01:53We had to use a replay to realize that Bob's super powerful laser
01:57had folded the CD like a taco before incinerating it in an undeniable showoff.
02:02What is that?
02:02That's nothing, Bob.
02:03Oh.
02:04That's literally ash.
02:05You might still be able to play that.
02:07Yeah.
02:07Watch me do it.
02:08Mehdi, out of the gate strong with the trash talk.
02:11Yeah, let's hope he can live up to that.
02:12Yeah.
02:13Okay, wow.
02:14He's a mess.
02:15Now was lightning, so it was time to see how Mehdi planned to use the super mean-looking Tesla coil
02:20that he brought to Crunch Labs.
02:22So to burn my CD, I'm going to use this.
02:29Did you just get shocked?
02:30It went to the ground through my shoe.
02:32You're like talking slower, I feel like.
02:34It broke my CD.
02:35Poor Chris De Burgh.
02:39Time to see if the Tesla coil could shock the CD as well as it shocked Mehdi.
02:48And it worked beautifully.
02:49Arcing patterns lighting up Crunch Labs.
02:52They were so gorgeous.
02:53And like moths to a light, we just had to get closer.
02:57Until we remembered we were working by Mehdi's safety standards.
03:00Wow.
03:01Like a little bit longer, and I think it would have cut all the way through.
03:03I think we should try it one more time.
03:05I have second thoughts.
03:06I never have second thoughts.
03:07I try it again, and every time I learn something new...
03:10With a scar.
03:12I don't have a good feeling about this.
03:13But Mehdi had used a wire to ground the CD, so he could get close without having to worry.
03:19No!
03:24Mehdi had become the god of thunder.
03:26That's how you erase a CD.
03:28And this crystal ball CD was facing its Ragnarok.
03:31It's beautiful!
03:33Until Mehdi shocked himself.
03:35Okay.
03:36But despite the second self-own of the day, Mehdi had done a pretty great job at burning the CD.
03:41Because I know what I'm doing, kind of.
03:43And this is a good time to point out, even though Mehdi has made a career out of building
03:47really cool things that always somehow shock him...
03:52He does have a master's degree in electrical engineering, and is very smart,
03:55and actually does know exactly what he's doing.
03:57In other words, please don't try this with your own four-foot Tesla coil at home.
04:01Let's roll the X-Factor!
04:02It was time to show these boys what the X-Factor could pull off.
04:05Gentlemen, prepare to have your minds blown!
04:08Really?
04:09Microwave?
04:10It's not just any microwave.
04:12It's a microwave with two googly eyes.
04:14But googly eyes or not, Mariah Carey was in for a little excitement.
04:17Three, two, one!
04:19Now wait, I was always told you never put metal into a microwave.
04:22This is true.
04:23Do not try this at home.
04:24Only try this at Crunch Slabs.
04:28Whoa!
04:30The microwave put on quite a techno light show for us.
04:34And it did a great job.
04:37Don't breathe that smoke!
04:39But ultimately, besides destroying a CD beyond repair,
04:42final verdict was...
04:43I think Matty's was the coolest this round.
04:45I kind of, yeah.
04:46Of course it was.
04:47Bob.
04:48On to round two.
04:49So now that we have the first point on the board, we got ready for a chilly round two.
04:54Solid block of ice.
04:55I'm gonna make a swan sculpture out of it.
04:57I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm feeling good about my chances on this one.
05:00You do a chainsaw.
05:02And Bob was up first with the super powerful laser.
05:04All right, guys, let's go.
05:05And as he worked this laser across the surface of the ice,
05:08the dripping water indicated that his laser was...
05:11It's so weak!
05:12Is it even doing anything, Bob?
05:14Hey, this is how light works!
05:15And honestly, he's right.
05:17Since ice is more or less transparent,
05:19the laser passes straight through and doesn't bounce off or get absorbed by anything,
05:23which means it doesn't build up enough heat to cause any damage.
05:29So this time, Bob focused his laser on one spot and held it there.
05:35And it started to create a rough surface on the ice,
05:38which allowed the laser to finally interact with something
05:41and build up some heat, eventually...
05:46...boring a hole all the way through.
05:49That is cool, actually.
05:51It looks very bullet-like.
05:53It's a bullet that kills you in half an hour.
05:56It was time for Mehdi to back up all that trash talk.
05:58Let me show you how it's done.
06:00I'm gonna use a welding machine and run 650 amps of current through this...
06:06Like I was saying...
06:07Basically, Mehdi's plan was to use the buildup of heat from electrical resistance
06:11to create a hot rebar knife through icy butter.
06:15Oh, you got a sizzle!
06:16Give me more juice!
06:18Wow, that's red!
06:20Now watch this!
06:22Whoa, that's cool!
06:24That's how we do it!
06:25You're bending the rod!
06:27And it worked really well...
06:29...until it didn't.
06:30What happened?
06:30Wow, it's black in the middle now!
06:33I think your ice is too cold.
06:35So Mehdi added a little bit of elbow grease to try and saw his way through the ice
06:39by using the parts of the rebar that were still glowing hot.
06:42A little bit from that side...
06:43And despite his best efforts resulting in a little melting,
06:46but much more reheating and then subsequent bending...
06:50Stop it!
06:51No arcing!
06:52All right, I'm done!
06:54Ooh, so close.
06:56It was a failure, but it was a cool failure.
06:59Enough of these jokers.
07:01It was time for the X Factor.
07:03This, boys, is how you win a competition!
07:06I'm actually kind of excited to see this.
07:08With the red, hot, nickel ball!
07:12Whoa!
07:14Ah, it's a very satisfying sound.
07:16The question is, can I make it deeper than Mehdi did?
07:19Go, go, go!
07:20The core of this nickel ball had been heated to 2,000 degrees
07:24and it was slowly but surely making its way down the ice.
07:27Go in the distance!
07:28Is it?
07:29But unfortunately for me, the laws of thermodynamics...
07:31What?
07:32Had other plans.
07:33Oh no!
07:36It's full of water!
07:38It stole all of its energy!
07:40It takes a lot of energy to heat up water.
07:43I guess there's a clear winner.
07:45Is there a clear winner?
07:47Really, there were no clear winners in this group.
07:49I have a solution.
07:50This is how we're going to solve this.
07:51So we decided to add a little gravity.
07:53Push!
07:54And whoever's block broke the cleanest must have done the most damage.
07:58So they'd be declared the winner.
07:59And devastatingly, for the second round in a row...
08:02Wow.
08:03Dang it!
08:04Oh, Canada!
08:07You're getting all nationalistic on us.
08:09All right, 2-0.
08:11Next challenge.
08:12So we moved on to lamps and this one was going to be a little bit different.
08:15This is a science pop lamp.
08:17This is a science pop lamp.
08:18Because this time we wouldn't be trying to destroy lamps,
08:21we'd be using our chosen elements to create lamps.
08:25For my lamp, I have got some ultraviolet reactive slime.
08:28I'm going to hit it with a sparkle pattern ultraviolet laser filter.
08:32It should look pretty cool.
08:33Kill the lights!
08:35I can't see, Bob!
08:36Activate the laser.
08:39Wow.
08:40The world's first slime laser lamp.
08:46It was some of the prettiest slime I'd ever seen.
08:48That's kind of interesting.
08:50And I wonder what it would look like if you attacked it with the Crunch Labs Vortex Kit.
08:54Okay.
08:55Oh, yeah.
08:56There's like a little dance.
08:57Can I play with the laser?
08:58No, don't play with the laser.
09:00Ultraviolet slime laser lamp.
09:02That was not on my bingo card.
09:04You did well, Bob.
09:05I mean, it sucks.
09:06Try that one, Lightning Boy.
09:08Lightning Boy was about to whip out the Tesla coil and this fluorescent bulb.
09:12I'm gonna do Nikola Tesla's dream of wireless power
09:15and power this with a super large Tesla coiler.
09:18Is this like a good distance for us?
09:19If it is safe for me, it's safe for you too.
09:21Why do I not trust what you say?
09:24But when we turned it on...
09:25Oh, Matty!
09:26The electric field created by the Tesla coil in the air...
09:30Look at it!
09:31It's alive!
09:32...actually causes the fluorescent tube light to glow.
09:35What's happening is the gas particles in the tube are getting excited by the electric field,
09:40which breaks them into charged particles, releasing energy in the form of light.
09:44And it made it look like the coolest actual lightsaber battle ever.
09:48Woohoo!
09:56I'll just go less crazy this time.
09:57Okay.
09:57Light it up.
10:04Matty!
10:05Stop breaking things!
10:06I've learned my lesson.
10:07I just want to see how bright it gets, okay?
10:18That was delayed!
10:20Once we got the lightning man a light bulb that was too big to use as a lightsaber...
10:25Wow!
10:26...it was undeniable that it was a pretty cool trick.
10:28Lightning lamp, not bad.
10:32All right, gentlemen.
10:32For my lamp, I'm doing a lava lamp.
10:34As in a lamp that's filled with actual lava.
10:37Does Kevin the backyard scientist know you're doing this?
10:43No.
10:44This is our little secret, mom.
10:46But the question was...
10:48Lava!
10:48Lava!
10:48Lava!
10:49Lava!
10:50Did I actually get any in the lamp?
10:52This is the moment of truth.
10:54Hand marks do it.
10:55Because I only have one pull.
11:00And the anticipation had us feeling like Christmas morning.
11:04Speaking of which, now's the perfect time to mention that if you want a Christmas morning
11:08reaction like this...
11:09...or this...
11:11...or this...
11:13...then a Crunch Slimes Build Box subscription is the answer.
11:15Because with the Build Box, not only do you get a super fun toy that you get to put together
11:19every month, but you do it alongside me while I teach you all the incredible physics behind
11:23how it works.
11:25We're right there in the trenches.
11:26Building, learning, and succeeding together so the principles really sink in.
11:31So if you're a kid and you're looking for something to put at the top of your Christmas
11:34list, or you're just looking to be the household hero by giving it to someone else, use the
11:38link in the video description or head to crunchslabs.com where we're giving away two free boxes as our
11:43holiday special.
11:44Now back to my precision lava pouring skills.
11:57But had I poured too much...
12:05...ultimately I felt like the lava gods would be pleased.
12:10While it is beautiful, it's arguably less practical.
12:12So it's time to pick a winner.
12:14I'd like to point out something.
12:15You didn't make a lamp.
12:16You destroyed a lamp.
12:17I made a lamp.
12:18I guess.
12:24I suppose even the lava gods agreed with Bob's logic, which meant laser was on the board
12:28with one, lightning with two, and the x-factor with a very sad zero.
12:32Which meant I'd have to change that in the LiPo battery round.
12:35All right, here we go.
12:36More questionable science.
12:39Uh, right, right.
12:40Oh no, right!
12:41I changed the thing on mine to the right.
12:44Oh, the right.
12:45Okay.
12:46It's not going to blow up in our face, is it?
12:47And it did blow up, but it did it gorgeously.
12:51There it is.
12:52Whoa.
12:54The laser burned right through the battery's casing.
12:56Don't try this at home, kids.
12:58And quickly burned off all the excess energy left stored inside the battery.
13:01Laser did some sweet damage to that thing.
13:03Definitely did.
13:08And once it was actually dead, we were able to see the many battery layers of
13:11smoldering wreckage the laser left behind.
13:14Ooh, nice and sizzly.
13:15Bob, can I just point out how you kind of look like a fly right now?
13:18Do I?
13:19For lightning, I'm going to let the battery destroy itself by connecting its leads with
13:24a very low resistance wire that will allow it to kind of flow.
13:27A classic METI start.
13:30Don't do that.
13:31Oh my god.
13:32To an otherwise interesting plan.
13:33Because by connecting the leads, he's created a path for the electrons to flow
13:37with essentially no resistance.
13:39This basically causes a stampede of electrons trying to squeeze through the wire so intense,
13:44it generated a bunch of heat that melted the connections on the flimsy white wire.
13:48So in an effort to scale up that flimsy white wire so that the battery would
13:52have to fail from the inside, METI fashioned himself this giant mad scientist switch.
13:57It's a huge switch.
13:59I know, this looks really fun.
14:00I'm not going to lie.
14:01I'll step back, that's for sure.
14:03Because only one thing would die today.
14:05And it actually wasn't the battery.
14:08Hello?
14:08Boo!
14:10It was METI's winning streak.
14:11Is it getting warm?
14:12I don't know if it's the sun or the battery.
14:14Let's see what's wrong with the battery.
14:15So METI attempted to MacGyver's way to a solution, but he was shocked to find out
14:20You're shorting!
14:21Oh my god.
14:22That these batteries had a failsafe internally that prevent them from shorting themselves out.
14:26Let me use the knife.
14:28Whoa!
14:29Whoa!
14:30Oh my god!
14:31So in the end, the only thing that was actually destroyed was the knife.
14:35These batteries are not safe, man.
14:37So now the X factor was up.
14:39This is how you do it, boys.
14:41And I was going crossbow.
14:42Now last time my fatal flaw was aiming at a target that was physically impossible to hit.
14:48Dang it!
14:48So this time I was picking a distance that would be physically impossible to miss.
14:52You missed.
14:52Dang it!
14:53It's going to be a long video.
14:54Wow.
14:57This is how you do it.
15:06Oh my god!
15:11The puncturing metal dart did what METI couldn't do
15:15by connecting all the layers of the battery.
15:17First try!
15:18Right there!
15:18First try!
15:19Causing the electron stampede so small that resulted in beautiful flames.
15:26Well, boys.
15:27Yeah.
15:27Take it.
15:28Yours.
15:29Just kidding.
15:29There's nothing in there.
15:30And thus for the first time, X factor was on the board.
15:33And according to this crystal ball we were about to destroy,
15:35I saw many more points in my future.
15:38Laser versus crystal ball, Bob.
15:39I feel like lasers pass through glass.
15:41Yeah, I don't know why I'm here.
15:42Bob, have a little confidence, buddy.
15:45Some of the greatest discoveries in scientific history came from that aha moment.
15:48We might be about to find the cure to cancer here.
15:52Okay.
15:53Feeling inspired, Bob gave his laser a shot.
15:55And once it hit the crystal ball...
15:57Wow!
15:58It's beautiful!
16:00Double rainbow!
16:01It was a beautiful light show,
16:03but the infrared camera indicated that the only effect Bob had...
16:07I might be turning the wall into lava.
16:09You're laser.
16:10You're not lava, Bob.
16:12I'm both.
16:15I don't know if we cured cancer.
16:16It didn't even notice the globe.
16:18Loser!
16:19Meanwhile, Team X Factor had no doubts about its upcoming hole-in-one.
16:24This, while it might look like a normal golf club...
16:27Hard guy.
16:28This is actually a firearm.
16:30Goggles, where's my goggles?
16:32Three, two, one, four!
16:42New hole in the wall.
16:43Now you know what you're up against.
16:45I see shards of glass.
16:48I'm getting back.
16:49I don't see it being that strong.
16:51You're gonna regret those words, buddy.
16:53Three, two, one.
16:55Yeah, it was super ineffective.
16:58Oh, that feels very disappointing.
17:01And there are some cracks here.
17:02Oh, you know what I'm thinking?
17:03So I called in an assist,
17:05just like loosening the jar of pickles for my buddy, Isaac Newton.
17:08I thought everyone got one try.
17:10You guys might want to step back.
17:11Three, two, one.
17:16Oh my god.
17:18Oh no!
17:19You broke your logo!
17:20I'm literally destroying this thing.
17:23I'm literally destroying the floor.
17:25At best, you could argue I turned the crystal ball into a bowling ball.
17:29I think that's a win for glass.
17:31Bob and I are no match for this thing.
17:33It's up to you.
17:34It would all come down to whatever insane invention Mehdi had brought in.
17:37We brought in a huge capacitor that can deliver 100,000 amps,
17:41as much as one lightning strike.
17:43Okay.
17:44As much energy as a 50 caliber sniper rifle.
17:47All right, I think we get the point.
17:48It can power 100,000 homes.
17:50Really?
17:50For a microsecond, yeah.
17:53It's hissing.
17:55Three, two, one, zero.
18:00And the test run we set up.
18:02Gosh, that was loud.
18:04Show that he might have this crystal ball in the bag.
18:07I've never done something like this before.
18:09I'm excited.
18:10It's gonna be fun, yeah.
18:11Three, two, one, zero.
18:22Yeah!
18:24I didn't expect that at all.
18:26None of us did.
18:27But maybe that's because we'd finally harnessed enough energy
18:30to destroy that dang crystal ball.
18:32No way.
18:34The metallicized glass.
18:35Well, Bob, I think we got to give this one to Mehdi.
18:38Does that mean he cleans it up?
18:40Yeah.
18:40Yeah, winner cleans up.
18:41Sorry, Mehdi.
18:42Mehdi added another tally to the score as we moved to the watermelon round.
18:46So Bob let us know what he was planning to do with his adorable little friend.
18:50We're gonna go all James Bond on this guy and go right down that.
18:53Googly eyes now suddenly seem much more sinister.
18:55Well, they were sitting around.
18:56I figured, why not?
18:57We're gonna leave this to you.
18:58Okay.
18:58Chance of cutting a watermelon.
19:00Here we go.
19:01Three, two, one.
19:04Oh, there you go.
19:05Tell us where you hid the treasure.
19:07But the highly trained Double O Melon didn't seem like he was gonna crack.
19:11So Bob turned up the heat.
19:13Oh, no, Bob, stop!
19:15Oh, no!
19:16I'm so sorry.
19:18Actually, that was kind of fun.
19:20Oh, no!
19:22It's like LASIK.
19:23Oh, gosh, that looks horrible.
19:26Well, would you want to see what it tastes like?
19:28But all that and it only cut the watermelon about an inch deep.
19:31So I had to apply a little old-fashioned elbow grease.
19:36You said you work out?
19:38Clearly.
19:40Wow, that looks gross.
19:43It has a hint of laser.
19:44Yeah.
19:45Refreshing 100 degree watermelon.
19:47Gordon Ramsay, watch out.
19:48Next up was lightning.
19:50You remember what I did to the crystal ball?
19:51I do.
19:52Remember what I did to the crystal ball?
19:53I do, actually.
19:54We're gonna do the same thing to this poor watermelon.
19:57Paint the room with watermelon.
19:59This was one that might require the bulletproof safety barrier.
20:02Let's make the watermelon vapor melon.
20:05Three, two, one, zero.
20:13On second thought, the barrier was overkill.
20:15That didn't do anything.
20:20What happened?
20:22I call that an electro bust.
20:24No, no, you cracked the watermelon.
20:25You cracked the watermelon.
20:26You did, like, what a knife could do.
20:28Oh, my God.
20:32That looks disgusting.
20:34I think the watermelon absorbed all the shock from the explosion,
20:38and I wonder how it tastes like.
20:41And my entry would take some explaining.
20:43All right, for the X-Factor,
20:44you know if you have a soda bottle and you shake it up,
20:46it has a lot of pressure and wants to expand?
20:48Sure.
20:49I'm basically gonna take a really cold liquid that will give off gas
20:51and do the same effect and stick it in the bottle.
20:53I literally did this in an earlier video of yours.
20:55I don't know what you're talking about.
20:56Let's go to the clip.
20:57Wait, you can't call it.
20:58So back at the house, while Science Bob distracted the crowd
21:01with liquid nitrogen powered exploding watermelons.
21:03Cut the clip!
21:04Cut the clip!
21:05Stop it!
21:06Before I get interrupted again,
21:07let me put on the most important touch.
21:10It's a Cyclops.
21:11And then the second most important touch,
21:13which is the activating mixture,
21:14and then hightail it out of there behind the safety glass
21:17because this water minion was gonna go off any second.
21:22Now, this is real boring until it's not.
21:25Oh, I can't handle this.
21:27Oh, oh, oh, something's lifting up there.
21:29Uh-oh.
21:32Oh my god!
21:34That was loud!
21:36Yeah!
21:38Smashing success.
21:40Wow.
21:42It smells amazing.
21:45Oh, look at the ceiling.
21:47Well...
21:48Yeah, I know.
21:49You guys don't even need to say it.
21:51Fine, fine, take it.
21:52What's up?
21:53X-Factor!
21:54Only one round left.
21:55You got three points.
21:56I've got two points.
21:58Bob's got one.
21:58And in the two point finale, it's anybody's game except for Bob's.
22:02You can technically tie it best.
22:04And we'd all have to break out the big guns
22:06as we moved into our safest round yet.
22:09Cracking open a reinforced vault filled with cash.
22:12Whoever stagged the most money would win this round
22:15and potentially the whole championship.
22:17Finally, a challenge worthy of a laser.
22:20Any concern about lighting the money on fire?
22:22Lots.
22:22I'm assuming the money's down here.
22:24Therefore, I will cut in here and I walk away with all the money.
22:28Let's roll.
22:29The police are coming.
22:30We only got two minutes.
22:31Let's pull off this heist.
22:32And Bob's laser immediately started tearing deeply into the recesses of the vault.
22:37Wow.
22:38And we wondered briefly whether it would make through the thicker mechanism.
22:42Oh, yeah.
22:43But we didn't need to worry at all as it cut through them like paper.
22:47We did need to worry, though, about the sparks.
22:50Oh, I feel like there's some burning cash in that safe, Benny.
22:55The question was how much cash Bob would be able to salvage after he opened the door.
23:04You might have welded it back.
23:07I want my money.
23:09And so this operation depended on me to act as the muscle.
23:16After one final struggle, Bob finally opened up the door to his.
23:24There is literally nothing left in there.
23:27That's not true.
23:28Look, I see a dollar.
23:30Not all is lost.
23:31You have a corner of a dollar.
23:33You did it, Bob.
23:34So Bob's final score was 25 cents.
23:37And we moved on to see what lightning could do.
23:39What's the plan, Matty?
23:40750 amps of current cut through this like butter.
23:44Can you top 3,000 watts?
23:46Mine is 31,000 watts.
23:48That's way bigger than that, man.
23:50Okay.
23:50Let's do this.
23:54Wow.
23:55Holy cow, that's fast.
23:58Why did I pick lasers?
23:59That was beyond me because frankly, Matty's was stunning.
24:02It's like a real life lightsaber.
24:04It glowed brighter as it got hotter and hotter,
24:07making even quicker work of the vault's latching mechanisms.
24:10But eventually it got so hot.
24:11This is getting too hot.
24:12That Matty's gloves almost melted off his hand.
24:16Which of course, he had to show us up close.
24:18Careful, man.
24:18Careful.
24:19Ultimately, he made much quicker work than laser.
24:24But he also burned through the money.
24:26The money.
24:27Much quicker than laser had.
24:28My money.
24:29Come on, man.
24:30That's too late.
24:35Which meant Matty recovered even less than Bob.
24:37Fortunately, neither one of you guys got any money.
24:40Which means the stage is now set for the X Factor.
24:45We'll do cool sound effects with it.
24:48All right, gentlemen.
24:48You might notice this safe is sitting on a big red X.
24:52That's because for my final X Factor,
24:55my plan is to go with 170 feet of pure,
24:58unadulterated gravitational potential energy.
25:02Let's hook it up.
25:03Oh my God.
25:04Don't help him.
25:04It had come to this.
25:06Because I couldn't be sure this would crack it open.
25:08But...
25:10Yes!
25:11I think gravity's gonna win this one.
25:13If I even got one dollar out of this thing...
25:15Safe doesn't stand a chance there.
25:17That's really tall.
25:19I could win the entire championship.
25:22So let's do it.
25:23Okay.
25:25Ten.
25:26Nine.
25:27Eight.
25:28Seven.
25:30Six.
25:31Five.
25:32Four.
25:33Three.
25:34Two.
25:36One.
25:37Go!
25:38Let's go!
25:38Oh my God!
25:39It's going!
25:42Oh my God!
25:47That was a big smash.
25:49Wow!
25:50Let's go!
25:52Wow!
25:53At least your money is safe in the safe.
25:55But how many dollars have I gotten out of there?
25:57The door is cracked open.
25:59I could definitely get in there.
26:01I feel like I want to run it one more time.
26:03Three.
26:04Two.
26:05One.
26:06Hit it!
26:12The safe door flew off the hinges like a leaf falling off a tree.
26:17Or a bird flying through the wind.
26:19Or...
26:19My money!
26:21That's right.
26:22My money.
26:23Oh, too bad!
26:24Your money's flowing away.
26:25I didn't think about the wind!
26:27Oh, these are like hundreds!
26:29Put it in your pocket, yeah.
26:30Hey!
26:31With all the interference from the wind, it was hard to get a final tally.
26:34But I was pretty sure I could count more than one dollar.
26:37Well, I'm nothing if not a generous host.
26:40Oh.
26:40Here's a little something for your efforts.
26:43Thank you, sir.
26:44Sorry, gentlemen.
26:45There can only be one winner.
26:46I'm just happy it was me.
26:48Hey, there are some electronics in there.
26:50What is that?
26:50Oh, watch out, Matty.
26:51Those could be live.
26:54What did you put there?
26:55Now, you might have been just as surprised as me.
26:57The X Factor actually won.
26:59But what should not hopefully surprise you,
27:01after watching all the videos I've been making on my YouTube channel for the last 12 years,
27:06is that learning science and engineering doesn't have to be sucky and boring.
27:11Which is exactly why I started a toy company called Crunch Labs,
27:14with the express goal of helping kids think like an engineer
27:18through monthly toys that get delivered to your door,
27:20or you put it together with me.
27:21And having already shipped millions of these boxes, the data is in.
27:2587% of kids rated an 8 out of 10 on a fun scale out of 10.
27:29But here's the dirty secret.
27:31More than three out of four parents said their child
27:33gained a new passion around STEM and engineering from the boxes.
27:36Our secret sauce here, just like on my videos,
27:39is hiding the vegetable so everyone leaves feeling stoked about the outcome.
27:43On top of that, each month your box has a chance to contain the Platinum Ticket.
27:46And if you get it...
27:47Oh my God!
27:49The Platinum Ticket, oh my God!
27:50Well, then you're coming out here to Crunch Labs to build with me and my team for a day.
27:53So if you want to embark on this monthly journey with me
27:56and get a Christmas morning reaction like this...
27:58Oh my God!
28:00What's wrong?
28:02Just go to crunchlabs.com or use the link in the video description
28:05where we're giving away those two boxes free as a holiday special.
28:09Thanks for watching.
