00:00Hello there welcome to your evening weather update from the Met Office. High
00:04pressure continues to cast an influence across the UK weather keeping skies
00:09clear overnight with sunshine tomorrow. It's sitting across Eastern Europe
00:14pushing ever westwards. Winds are fairly light away from the West Country through
00:19Wednesday where there'll still be a bit of a breeze. The air remains relatively
00:23mild, temperatures are on the up. Colder air sits towards the north of the UK.
00:27Now through this evening and overnight quite a brisk breeze along this east
00:31coast extending towards Shetland where there'll be a bit more in the way of
00:34cloud. Now the frost will return across most parts and it'll be severe in places
00:40particularly across Scotland lowest temperatures possibly down to minus 6
00:43minus 7 degrees Celsius. Hanging on to higher values across the West Country
00:47particularly where we see that wind mixing things up as we head into
00:52Wednesday morning. But Wednesday dawns bright with some sunshine, yes a few
00:57freezing fog patches around to start the day. The frost lifts from the ground
01:01and we'll see some fine weather, some blue sky and sunshine. The sunshine may
01:06turn rather hazy towards the south southwest through the afternoon. Notice
01:11some showers perhaps just about grazing the Outer Hebrides. Elsewhere it's a
01:15lovely day, a gorgeous day to be out and about, a lighter wind, temperatures on the
01:19up 10 to 15 degrees Celsius 16 17 towards the south 12 or 13 for Northern
01:25Ireland. However the frost will return through Wednesday evening and overnight.
01:30Notice towards the south a little bit more cloud just coming and going so the
01:35hardest frost will be across more northern areas again sub-zero. To start
01:39the day on Thursday then it's fine, dry with some lovely sunshine, one or two
01:43showers across the far north there for Shetland. Most places seeing a dry day
01:48with some good weather coming through, some sunny spells, cloud building a
01:52little bit, temperatures 18 or 19 degrees Celsius in the southeast, 13 or
01:5614 across Scotland and Northern Ireland far north of England. So feeling pleasant
02:01wherever you are and much warmer than the last few days. Your outlook then
02:05through Friday, it has showery from the southwest, a slow process but it does
02:09mark a change as we head into the weekend. I'll see you later.
