00:00The soul of Mecca, Medina, makes a man a human being.
00:12Ladies and gentlemen, today's topic is a very important topic.
00:17We are discussing the topic of worship with you today.
00:21Worship is a word that is used in a wide range of meanings.
00:25The scholars explain the meanings and explanations of this word.
00:29Today's season is a season of good deeds.
00:35From dawn to dusk, we are observing fasts, recitation of prayers,
00:40giving alms, charity, etc.
00:43As much as possible, even if zakat is obligatory in any month,
00:48we give it in Ramadan.
00:50Because the reward is greater.
00:52This is also one of the reasons.
00:54We try to make all the deeds that cannot be done in the remaining 11 months,
00:59to be done in the month of Ramadan.
01:01Worship is our main topic today.
01:03Inshallah, we will talk about it.
01:05In the light of our contemporary studies,
01:08we have a panel of qualified scholars.
01:11Alhamdulillah, we have the opportunity in Karachi and Lahore
01:15to give you our beautiful words.
01:17They explain our topics in a very beautiful way.
01:21On my right is Mufti Muhammad Akmal Madani.
01:28Assalamu Alaikum.
01:30Walaikum Assalam.
01:32On my left is Mufti Allama Liaqat Hussain Azari.
01:36Assalamu Alaikum.
01:38Walaikum Assalam.
01:40On my right is Allama Hafiz Uwais Ahmed.
01:45Assalamu Alaikum.
01:47Walaikum Assalam.
01:49We have Saqlain Rashid, Ali Shabbir, and Tassadduq Rasool.
01:54Assalamu Alaikum.
01:56In Islam, the real concept of worship,
02:00if we answer this first,
02:03many things will be revealed in the first stage.
02:06And it will be easier for us to talk.
02:08What does he say?
02:10I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
02:12In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
02:14Allah Almighty said,
02:16And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they may worship Me.
02:20I have created the jinn and the men only for My worship.
02:25Now, due to not understanding the true meaning of worship,
02:28sometimes it happens that people question it.
02:31That we should only pray, fast, sit in the mosque and recite tazbih,
02:34and not do any worldly work.
02:36So your question is very important in this regard.
02:41We should know the true concept of worship.
02:44Then everything becomes clear.
02:46In simple words, the concept of worship is,
02:49to do what Allah has commanded us to do,
02:54and to abstain from what He has commanded us to abstain from,
02:58and to leave what is within us.
03:01This is called worship.
03:03Worship is always in response to a command.
03:06Whatever Allah has commanded us to do, we do it.
03:09This is called worship.
03:11But if any worship is obligatory on us,
03:15when we do something that is not obligatory on us,
03:19that is also called worship.
03:21For example, it is obligatory on us to offer prayers.
03:24But we should pray nawafil.
03:26Now it is not their command.
03:28But since it is obligatory on us,
03:31we call nafl as worship.
03:33Similarly, nafl and fasting are also worship.
03:35Nawafil is also a form of worship.
03:38Some things are obligatory on us,
03:40but not in worship.
03:41Ta'at means good.
03:43Because it is not a part of them,
03:45about which Allah has commanded us to do.
03:48Where there is a command, there is worship.
03:50For example, there is a verse about durood-e-paak.
03:53So whenever we read it, there will be a concept of worship.
03:56But just like children do naafil,
03:58this is a ta'at, a good deed.
04:00It will not be called worship.
04:02Because there is no command to do naafil.
04:04But it is a ta'at, a good deed.
04:06And it is a matter of happiness.
04:08Now, what is the concept of worship in our religion?
04:11It is maybe the action of some actions.
04:13We have considered it as worship.
04:15If someone asks what worship is,
04:17he will say it is namaz, roza, hajj, zakat,
04:19and sacrifice.
04:20This is where we stop.
04:22However, we should also pay attention to its second meaning.
04:25It is called amr and nahji.
04:28It is a combination of awamir and nawahi.
04:31Both are obligatory worship.
04:33Avoiding sin is also a great worship.
04:35But we do not pay attention to this worship seriously.
04:40And the actions that Allah has commanded us to do,
04:45we choose a few of them.
04:48We like them.
04:49We give them the name of worship easily.
04:52So we should adopt both.
04:54Now, in simple words, I will say one more thing.
04:57There are three things whose origin is worship.
05:01There are three things whose origin is worship.
05:04For example, fardh, wajib, and sunnat-e-mawqadah.
05:07We have to fulfill these three.
05:09This is the worship which is in response to the command.
05:12Fardh is also a command to fulfill the obligations,
05:14like namaz, roza.
05:16Wajib is also a command,
05:18like growing a beard is wajib.
05:20Similarly, doing iddat is wajib.
05:22Sacrifice is wajib.
05:23And sunnat-e-mawqadah is like namaz.
05:25And just opposite to this, there are three things
05:27whose origin is worship.
05:30For example, fardh is haram.
05:32Wajib is maqroo-e-tahreemi.
05:35And sunnat-e-mawqadah is isaat.
05:39Abandoning sunnat-e-mawqadah.
05:41So some things are haram to abandon fardh.
05:44And some things are haram to abandon mustaqil.
05:46Just opposite to them, we have no fardh.
05:48For example, eating pork is haram.
05:53So it is not that we abandoned fardh and came here.
05:56Although eating good food is better for us.
05:59But these things are also haram,
06:01that they are forbidden to eat mustaqil.
06:03And if we abandon namaz-e-fardh, it will be a sin.
06:06Now the result is that you do business,
06:08make friends, eat, drink,
06:10have relationships,
06:12go out,
06:14play,
06:16wear good clothes,
06:18buy a good car, buy a good house.
06:20But when?
06:21When it is within the limits of Shariah.
06:23It will be within the limits of Shariah.
06:25And if there is someone who is following Allah's command,
06:27Inshallah, this can also be counted in worship.
06:29It can be counted in good deeds.
06:31It can be counted in worship in some circumstances.
06:33For example, there are many Sunnahs of the Prophet.
06:35If we complete them with good intentions,
06:37then the concept of worship can be included in them.
06:39There is also a command to adopt the Seerah of the Prophet.
06:42And Allah said,
06:46And anyway, discuss your Lord's blessings well.
06:49This means that when we act on this command,
06:51then the name of worship is to follow the command.
06:54Therefore, good deeds will also be arranged on it.
06:57Now this concept should be clear.
06:59When we say that Allah has created us for worship,
07:02then it is not that we should come and sit in the mosque.
07:04It is not that we should leave everything and live a life of experience.
07:07We should dedicate ourselves only to Tabligh.
07:09Do not give time to the rest of the wives and children.
07:11Rather, do everything, but do it within the limits of Shariah.
07:14And keep it in mind,
07:16that which is obligatory, which is obligatory,
07:18which is Sunnah of the Prophet, we have to complete all of them.
07:20And we have to avoid Haram, Makruh, and Tahrim.
07:23When we do these six things,
07:25then we say,
07:27So that person is called the one who follows the command of worship.
07:29Wonderful, SubhanAllah.
07:31It seems as if we are reading an article
07:33on the subject of worship,
07:35and we are reading it.
07:37With very elevated sentences,
07:39Ma Sha Allah, Qibla Mukhti Sahib has completed his answer.
07:42And he has completed his answer in a very beautiful way,
07:44by making the foundation of
07:46And I have not created the jinn and the men but that they may worship Me.
07:48Ok, Allama Sahab will say that
07:50in light of the Quran and Hadith,
07:52and in light of the command of worship of Allah,
07:54I would like you to shed some light on that.
07:56In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
07:58Allah has said in the Holy Quran,
08:00Surah Furqan-e-Hameed,
08:02Surah Furqan-e-Hameed,
08:06What a promise, SubhanAllah.
08:08Surah Furqan-e-Hameed,
08:28Ma Sha Allah.
08:30After that, Allah has said,
08:38What a beautiful sermon, Ma Sha Allah.
08:40In this, you can see that from Iman,
08:42from worship,
08:44from matters,
08:46everything has been mentioned in this Holy Quran.
08:48Amazing.
08:50Worship is not only the name of Salah,
08:52Worship is not only the name of fasting,
08:54Yes, it is the name of Salah.
08:56It is the name of fasting.
08:58But it is not only based on this.
09:00Rather, from matters,
09:02from earning,
09:04from spending,
09:06Allah's Prophet has said,
09:10He has said,
09:12Any good deed,
09:14Islam's concept of worship
09:16is so vast,
09:18He has said,
09:20You are going on the path,
09:22there is a thing that torments you,
09:24you pick it up,
09:26and this has also been seen.
09:28So, Islam's concept of worship,
09:30from earning,
09:32from spending,
09:34from helping the needy,
09:36with neighbours,
09:38orphans,
09:40with the needy,
09:42to the extent that you make a covenant with someone,
09:46to fulfill that,
09:50you are patient with a problem,
09:52this is also worship.
09:54You protect yourself from sin,
09:56this is also worship.
09:58Imam Ghazali has said,
10:00You put yourself in difficulty
10:02for a good deed,
10:04this is also worship.
10:06Allah's Prophet has said,
10:08I was asked,
10:10What do the angels of Allah
10:12fight over?
10:14He has said,
10:16The one who is sitting in the mosque
10:18waiting for Salah,
10:20that is also worship.
10:22He has said,
10:24You pray for yourself,
10:26this is also worship.
10:30Allah's angels are also praying
10:32for Allah's servants.
10:34In this verse,
10:36there are some things
10:38that we say as a sign,
10:40that this is a good deed.
10:42In the Arab world,
10:44it was thought that
10:46going through the back door
10:48is a good deed.
10:50There is no concept of Islam
10:52and worship,
10:54but our society has made it
10:56so necessary that
10:58worship will go ahead.
11:00The Quran has said,
11:06Now we will tell you
11:08what is a good deed.
11:10It is a good deed,
11:12it is a good deed,
11:14it is a good deed,
11:16it is a good deed,
11:18Allah says,
11:24Like Musab has said,
11:26the things that are necessary for you,
11:28the first thing you will be responsible for,
11:30you will be responsible for.
11:32And the things that are forbidden,
11:34you will be responsible for.
11:36Why did you do this?
11:38This is called good and bad deeds.
11:40Allah says,
11:42The one who worships me,
11:44then he performs Nawafil,
11:46so that he becomes my beloved.
11:48So you should understand that
11:50if you are asked a one-liner question,
11:52then the concept of Islam
11:54of worship
11:56is very vast.
11:58It has Hajj,
12:00it has Namaz,
12:02it has fasting,
12:04it has everything.
12:06But at the same time,
12:08our social things,
12:10until they are not completed,
12:12your concept of worship
12:14from Islam to the rights of worship,
12:16from your social life
12:18to your economic life,
12:20and to your family life,
12:22to the extent that
12:24the food that a person feeds his wife and children,
12:26Allah will reward you for that as well.
12:30A person sees his parents with love,
12:32Allah will reward you for that as well.
12:34The companions are standing outside,
12:36a companion of the Prophet
12:38quickly went to the market.
12:40He said, O Messenger of Allah,
12:42you should have gone in the way of Allah.
12:44The Prophet said, No, no.
12:46He is going for the welfare of the children,
12:48which is obligatory.
12:50He is going in the way of Allah.
12:52He is going to serve his parents.
12:54His steps are in the way of Allah.
12:56He should not raise his hands in front of anyone.
12:58That is why he is going to the market.
13:00Going to the market
13:02is in the way of Allah.
13:04Now tell me,
13:06what is the religion of the world
13:08in which there is so much vastness?
13:10Some religions
13:12have adopted leadership.
13:14They have adopted experience.
13:16Islam has given everything.
13:18The Prophet of Allah has given
13:20the journey of trade, marriage,
13:22to the extent that
13:24he became the leader of the country
13:26and established a system of justice.
13:28This is also a form of worship.
13:30The system of justice
13:32that he is establishing,
13:34is such a great form of worship
13:36that the Prophet of Allah said,
13:38The people who will be the first
13:40will be the just kings.
13:42Allah is the Greatest.
13:44Subhanallah, subhanallah.
13:46For a believer,
13:48the ways of worship are not limited.
13:50There are many ways.
13:52If he is fulfilling his obligations
13:54and the rights of Allah,
13:56then the doors of goodness
13:58are wide open for him.
14:00We think that he will perform ablution
14:02and pray. This is the only form of worship.
14:04Qibla Mufti Sahib also
14:06spoke about this with us.
14:08Allama Sahib also spoke about this
14:10in a wonderful way.
14:12We will continue this.
14:14We will return after a break.
14:16Stay with us.
14:18The Greatest of all Kings.
14:20The Master of Life.
14:22The Spirit of Makkah.
14:24The City of Medina.
14:26This is the man
14:28who makes man.
14:30This is the man.
14:34Ladies and Gentlemen,
14:36today's topic is
14:38the ways of worship.
14:40If we want to know the reasons
14:42and requirements of worship,
14:44this is also a topic
14:46on which you will get
14:48a lot of writings.
14:50If you search on Google,
14:52you will find a lot of things.
14:54But when scholars
14:56spend a long time with their teachers
14:58and learn from them,
15:00their observation and study
15:02is very timely.
15:04Allama Hafiz Ubaid Sahib,
15:06what would you like to say?
15:08If you have spoken about
15:10the reasons of worship,
15:12then the fundamental reason
15:14is that the reason
15:16why man worships Allah
15:18is that Allah
15:20commands His servant.
15:22This is the fundamental reason
15:24why worship is obligatory
15:26on man.
15:28Why? Because Allah
15:30has commanded him.
15:32He says,
15:36Isn't He the best in commanding?
15:38And He says,
15:44For those who believe,
15:46who is better in commanding
15:48than Allah?
15:50So, His command
15:52is the fundamental reason of worship.
15:54When Satan was commanded
15:56to prostrate,
15:58and Satan was angry,
16:00Allah asked him,
16:06What stopped you from prostrating?
16:08When I commanded,
16:10when I commanded,
16:12then it means that
16:14His command
16:16made prostration obligatory.
16:18It was obligatory.
16:20It was obligatory.
16:22And when he turned away from it,
16:24then it was far from worship
16:26and it was far from Dargah.
16:28When Allah commands
16:30something,
16:32then it is based on
16:34thousands of wisdoms.
16:37And the fundamental thing
16:39in this is that
16:41when Allah's command
16:43is given for something,
16:45then a person should not
16:47use his intellect
16:49and his judgment
16:51against it like Satan.
16:53Rather, with great
16:55humility and attention,
16:57it should be enough
16:59for him that
17:01his Lord has given
17:03this command.
17:05When the commandments
17:07of worship are revealed,
17:09then many people
17:11have a desire to become
17:13a thinker and
17:15they test their
17:17new thinking on worship.
17:19Allah has given the command
17:21of sacrifice,
17:23so He will bring it
17:25so that you can
17:27marry your daughters,
17:29you have spent so much.
17:31Who told you to use
17:33your intellect?
17:35When Allah has given
17:37the command,
17:39then why are you
17:41standing against
17:43Allah's command?
17:45So, the question you asked
17:47about the reason for worship,
17:49every Muslim should
17:51understand that
17:53when Allah's command
17:55is given for something,
17:57then he should surrender
17:59and he should
18:01not complain about
18:03anything.
18:05As far as the
18:07requirements of worship
18:09are concerned,
18:11the requirements
18:13and results of worship
18:15are very much
18:17required in our society.
18:19Because the fundamental
18:21question of people is
18:23you were a worshipper,
18:25why was your business
18:27not good?
18:29Why were your morals not good?
18:31So, the requirements of worship
18:33and the results of worship
18:35are very much
18:37required in our lives.
18:39And this is
18:41the real test of us Muslims.
18:43This is the place
18:45of requirements
18:47where we come
18:49and because of not
18:51giving the results of our worship,
18:53we are embarrassed
18:55in many places.
18:57In many places,
18:59we feel like we are
19:01lagging behind.
19:03Because the requirements
19:05and results of worship
19:07are not being
19:09implemented in our society.
19:11So, these two things
19:13are very important.
19:15First, a person should
19:17never complain
19:19in front of Allah's command.
19:21Second, the requirements
19:23and results of worship
19:25are not being implemented
19:27in our society.
19:29See, there is a person
19:31who has a beard on his face,
19:33he is praying in the
19:35first row, he is
19:37reciting Durood Sharif,
19:39he is talking about goodness,
19:41but when he goes
19:43to deal with matters,
19:45he does not feel embarrassed
19:47while selling cigarettes,
19:49selling opium,
19:51taking interest,
19:53he does not feel embarrassed.
19:55He says, it was my worship,
19:57this is my work.
19:59So, because of this,
20:01a Muslim person is defamed
20:03and all over the world,
20:05where such matters
20:07are shown,
20:09people are seen
20:11complaining about it.
20:13So, if a person
20:15corrects himself in these matters,
20:17and Allah has commanded
20:19every person,
20:21O people,
20:23worship your Lord.
20:25What is the reason?
20:27Allah has created you.
20:29If you do not worship
20:31the one who created you,
20:33then who will you worship?
20:35This worship is also
20:37in the nature of man.
20:39Every person's nature requires
20:41that the one who has created
20:43should prostrate.
20:45The one who has created should
20:47bow down in front of him.
20:49The one who has created
20:51should bow down in front of him.
20:53This is also a requirement
20:55and a reason that a person
20:57should bow down in front of his Lord.
20:59Then, give as much blessings
21:01as you can to a person.
21:03If a person is sleeping at night,
21:05then Fajr prayer is with him.
21:07If a person wakes up in the morning,
21:09if he has seen light,
21:11if he has done business,
21:13then Zuhr prayer is with him.
21:15If the time of the day comes,
21:17then Asr prayer is with him.
21:19If he has the pleasure of going home
21:21in the evening,
21:23if he has the pleasure of getting money,
21:25if he has the pleasure of success,
21:27and if the sun is setting,
21:29then read Maghrib or Isha.
21:31Worship is associated with
21:33your blessings.
21:35The Prophet also used to
21:37do his things in the same way.
21:39The gap and the gap
21:41that was there in the time of prayer,
21:43the Prophet stood with it
21:45and used to look for opportunities
21:47in the gap of prayer.
21:49If I am going on a journey,
21:51then I should read Namaz.
21:53If the sun is setting,
21:55then I should read Namaz.
21:57If there is a problem,
21:59then I should read Namaz.
22:01If there is a moment of happiness,
22:03then I should read Namaz.
22:05So, these are all the reasons
22:07for worship.
22:09A person is also following the
22:11command of God.
22:13And the most important thing
22:15is that a person
22:17is in need of worship.
22:19He is in need of worship.
22:21He is in need of faqir.
22:23He is in need of asking.
22:25He is in need of prostration.
22:27He is in need of bowing.
22:29He is in need of being blessed.
22:31He is in need of giving.
22:33He is in need of prostration.
22:35So, whoever is in need of it,
22:37should keep doing it.
22:39I am the servant of
22:41the Lord of the universe.
22:43I am the servant of
22:45the Lord of the universe.
22:47I am the Lord of
22:49the world.
22:51We are talking about
22:53the history of man.
22:55Man was worshipping
22:57the most powerful thing
22:59at every moment.
23:01He saw the sun.
23:03He was worshipping the sun.
23:05He was worshipping the sun.
23:07He saw the fire.
23:09He was worshipping the fire.
23:11But the most important
23:13line of direction that Allah gave
23:15to man is that
23:17he should believe in Allah
23:19and obey Him.
23:21Because of this,
23:23we are seeing the reasons
23:25and the commandments.
23:27Mufti and Allama said
23:29that the commandments
23:31that we have to follow
23:33and the commandments
23:35that we have to stop
23:37This is the requirement
23:39of servitude.
23:41This should be the style
23:43of a believer.
23:45Let's go to the
23:47praise of Allah.
23:49All three of us
23:51will present our
23:53gift of praise
23:55in the holy
23:57court of Allah.
24:07In the holy court of Allah
24:13we present
24:15the gift
24:17of praise
24:19
24:21
24:23
