00:00At the Giro, you finished 10th last year. Is it even better than what you expected so far?

00:06I would say it's what I expected so far because I knew I had a better preparation the last year,

00:13so you'd hope you'd do better results.

00:17How to take advantage of your good condition in a stage like today's?

00:23Today, anything could happen. The important thing is to not lose time.

00:28Nice breakaway yesterday. Do you feel you are in contention for the Malia Azzurra now?

00:35That's not a primary goal, but it's interesting to look at the points board and we see along the way how it goes.

00:44Have you kept some energy for doing the same today?

00:47I hope so. Like I said before, it's all unknown.

00:50So we've got Chris for GC, but for sure as a team we're looking to do things on the stages.

00:56Is it an even better day today for the breakaway to work?

01:01Yeah, it does look a good day for the breakaway, but to be honest, we thought yesterday was good also.

01:05The chaos the day before and then we thought the Red Bull might let it go out, but they never did.

01:14They held it on a tight leash and then obviously the other teams jumped on that opportunity and pulled it back.

01:18What kind of stage would you like today?

01:23Yeah, it will be interesting today. I think obviously it was a hard day yesterday.

01:27Yeah, I just said to somebody it's like a Tireno stage again today.

01:31So it will be a hard day. It's a long day.

01:35Breakaway day, GC day, who knows?

01:36Yes, but I expected to be pretty grippy day.

01:40You did well yesterday on the climb. Does it give you an extra motivation for today? Do you want to breakaway?

01:46Yes, I tried also yesterday to breakaway, but it didn't look like a day to play for the stage win in the breakaway.

01:53So in the end I tried to follow the best, but it was a bit too hard. But yes, today I will really try in the breakaway.

01:59Your first Grand Tour, what's the feeling?

02:03Better and better every day actually. So hopefully it can be good for the next days.

02:09And looking forward to the mountains or more mountains?

02:12Of course, the more mountains the better.
