00:00And of course, brought to you by the American Divorce Association for Men.
00:26If you're facing divorce, call the expert attorneys at ADAM, 248-356-ADAM.
00:33Now, follow along.
00:34Ryan's going to tell you a little story about something he won.
00:37Yes.
00:37So golf outing a couple of weeks ago, I won four passes, so a round of golf for four, to
00:44the Jewel on Mackinac Island.
00:47It's the Grand Hotel's golf course.
00:49This was a charity golf event you went to, a fundraiser.
00:52Yeah, for my nephew's wrestling team.
00:54Now, I won them in a raffle.
00:57And we can't use them.
00:59So I thought, why don't I try to sell them?
01:02At least make some money off of them.
01:05And my wife, this is where I need your guys' help, because I don't really get her side
01:09of it.
01:10She said she doesn't want me to sell them because I didn't pay for them.
01:13So I just need to give them away.
01:16I shouldn't sell them.
01:19I don't get her theory on this.
01:21I don't either.
01:22It's not like I was given them by somebody.
01:26I won them fair and square in a raffle, and they're mine now.
01:31So I can do what I want with them, right?
01:33Sure.
01:33Yeah.
01:33So I'm just trying to figure out if anybody else sees Heidi's side on this on why I can't.
01:39So she's saying no, because you didn't have to pay.
01:41You didn't pay for them.
01:43Yeah.
01:44And this wasn't a station event or anything.
01:48This was, again, the reason I said it was a fundraiser, it was a golf outing for charity.
01:54Right.
01:55Right?
01:56And technically, in my eyes, I did pay $20 for them because I bought $20 worth of raffle
02:04tickets.
02:05Okay.
02:07248-398-9279, 248-398-WCSX.
02:12Hi, good morning, Big Jim's House.
02:13Who's this?
02:14This is Jeff.
02:15Good morning, guys.
02:16Hi, Jeff.
02:16You're on the radio.
02:17Say hi to everybody.
02:19Good morning, Detroit.
02:20Nice.
02:21Well done.
02:21Okay, so what do you think?
02:23I got to go with Ryan on this one.
02:25Yeah, if you can pocket a couple dollars, pocket a couple dollars.
02:29Okay.
02:30See?
02:30They're his, right?
02:31Yeah, that's...
02:32Yeah, absolutely.
02:32He won them.
02:33It's not like he asked for them or he was giving them.
02:37He won them.
02:37No, Jeff, Ryan's not attacking his wife over this.
02:40He's just simply saying, I don't understand the other side of this that she's saying.
02:43Right.
02:43You can't because you didn't pay for them.
02:45Right.
02:46Okay.
02:48Jeff, hey, appreciate you, brother.
02:49Have a good day.
02:50Hey, you too.
02:51Boot check, guys.
02:52Oh, boot check.
02:53There we go.
02:54Oh, Dave Dialton from Hang Up with Stan.
02:56Yeah, somebody said sell them, but give them a slight discount, which that's what I was planning
03:00on doing.
03:01I'm not going to sell them for, you know, what they're worth.
03:04Why not?
03:05I don't know.
03:08Hi, good morning, Big Jim's House.
03:09Who's this?
03:10Yeah, this is Tom.
03:11Tom, go ahead.
03:12What do you think?
03:14I think you should just ask for 20 bucks.
03:17Pass the good deed on to somebody else and let them have them.
03:20Kind of a pay it forward thing?
03:22Yeah, pay it forward, you know.
03:24Okay.
03:24Thank you, Tim.
03:25He'll get something nice down the road.
03:28Okay.
03:29Karma, kind of nothing wrong with that.
03:31Thank you, Tom.
03:33Hi, good morning, Big Jim's House.
03:34Who's this?
03:37John.
03:37John, you're on the radio.
03:38Say hi to everybody.
03:41Hi, everybody.
03:42Okay, so what do you think?
03:44I agree with Heidi because I think her thinking is going to be, it's kind of like pay it forward,
03:52you know?
03:52He won them.
03:53Um, so let somebody else have the benefit of a free round of golf.
04:00Oh, there you go.
04:02So second person in a row.
04:04Talk about that.
04:05Thank you, John.
04:07Can you see it by that way?
04:08I mean, I get, and I think that's kind of where my wife's at.
04:12Like, hey, you just won them.
04:13It's not like it costs you anything, so you're not losing money by not, you know, getting any
04:18money in return for them.
04:19Yes, you are losing money.
04:20They're yours.
04:21You're losing money.
04:21That's what, right?
04:23Right.
04:24Okay, because it's, and I'm like, if I can make money off of something, why wouldn't
04:28I try to make money off of something?
04:30Yeah.
04:30Hold on.
04:31Line two.
04:31Hi, good morning, Big Jim's house.
04:32Who's this?
04:34Hi, Greg.
04:35Greg, hold on.
04:35Be right there, man.
04:36His phone kept dropping out on me.
04:38Hi, good morning, Big Jim's house.
04:39Who's this?
04:40Hey, this is Carol.
04:41How are you going?
04:42Good morning, boys.
04:43Hi, Carol.
04:43You're on the radio.
04:44Say hi to everyone.
04:46Hi, everybody.
04:47So what do you think about this with Ryan and Heidi?
04:50Let's check.
04:51First, did he have to sign anything saying that there was a value that he may have to claim
04:56it on his, who won this prize?
04:59On your taxes, did you have to sign anything?
05:00No, none of that.
05:01Nope.
05:02Okay, good.
05:03So that's real clear.
05:04So that's a friend's family, I'm assuming.
05:09But I'm not a lawyer.
05:11I'm not a legal person.
05:12But you could pay it forward in the form of why not, if whatever you do get on these tickets,
05:19put a, give yourself a, say, back to that, um, your nephew's charity.
05:27Oh, I see.
05:28Kick some of that in there.
05:29Hey, Carol, we're losing you on your cell phone, though.
05:31Thank you for calling.
05:32I've given enough to those kids already this year.
05:35Wow.
05:35Let me get line six here.
05:36Hi, good morning, Big Jim's house.
05:37Who's this?
05:39This is Kat.
05:40Hi, Kat.
05:41Hey, turn your radio down real quick, okay?
05:44It's down.
05:45There we go.
05:45So what do you think?
05:46Um, I think he should sell them and try to make it.
05:50And if he really feels bad, he could split it with the charity.
05:53So there you go.
05:55You kick some back.
05:56But like, go ahead.
05:57It's a different perspective, though, because I don't know.
06:00I feel like they're yours and stuff's expensive and you should buy something nice.
06:05Perhaps you could buy something nice for Heidi.
06:07Ooh.
06:09Okay.
06:09Same.
06:11Wow.
06:11Great call.
06:12Hey, have a wonderful day.
06:14Hey, you too.
06:15I'll talk to you guys later.
06:15Bye.
06:16Line five.
06:17Hi, good morning, Big Jim's house.
06:18Who's this?
06:19This is Deb.
06:20How are you this morning, guys?
06:21Wonderful, Deb.
06:22So what do you think?
06:23I say absolutely not.
06:25Sell them for what you can get for them.
06:27Okay.
06:27So do you understand her side of this or no?
06:32I sort of do, but I'm also a business person and I look at it like, let's say one of you
06:37guys won a car, you guys won a car, a new Corvette, and it didn't cost you a penny, but you really
06:43didn't care if you had it or used it or not.
06:45Are you going to like pay it forward and sell it for half price?
06:48No.
06:49Hey, you sell out of the stone soup cars that we used to build here?
06:53Most of them were sold by the winners to other people.
06:56See?
06:57There you go.
06:58Oh, yeah.
06:58Absolutely they were.
06:59Yeah.
06:59So, yeah, you know what?
07:00I didn't even think about it.
07:01That's kind of the same lines.
07:02Yeah.
07:03Absolutely.
07:03I'm pretty sure the guy that won the Bronco is already trying to sell that one.
07:07Right.
07:08He is.
07:08Absolutely he is.
07:09And, you know, that's just how the cycle goes.
07:13And somebody who would have never had the opportunity to do this or have it would love
07:17to give you what it's worth, not a discount, because he's not going to be your buddy for
07:23life.
07:24There you go.
07:24Wow, what a great call.
07:25It's a business move.
07:26Thank you for calling.
07:27Have a great day, guys.
07:28All right.
07:29Bye.
07:29Bye, guys.
07:29Love you.
07:30Love you, too.
07:32See?
07:32Yeah.
07:33You may be making somebody's life because they may never have an opportunity to get
07:36those passes, and you've got those passes you're selling to them, even at a little bit
07:39of a discount.
07:40So, if Heidi wants to deny somebody the most memorable moment of their life, then go right
07:45ahead.
07:45There you go.
07:46Is that good?
07:47Did I do that right?
07:47That's the move, yeah.
07:48Do me a favor.
07:49Don't say that when you get home.
07:50That's the move.
07:51Don't say that when you get home.
07:52Forget it.
07:53Just erase that.
07:54Don't say that.
07:55Hi.
07:56Good morning, Big Jim's House.
07:57Who's this?
07:58This is Shannon.
07:59Shannon, say hi to everybody on the radio.
08:01Hi, everybody.
08:02I think Ryan should sell the tickets and use the money towards the golf clubs that
08:06he wants to buy.
08:08Then his wife can't be mad because it's really not his money that he's buying the golf clubs
08:12with.
08:13Hey, if things really go south because of these grounds for divorce, stay on the line.
08:18I want to get your number, okay?
08:20Okay.
08:20You are amazing.
08:22Do you know how many guys in Detroit right now, Shannon, are going, I love her.
08:26I love that woman.
08:27Just being honest and helping you out.
08:29It's really not your money if you use somebody else's money to buy your golf clubs.
08:32Oh, you're fantastic.
08:33Awesome.
08:33Hey, have a great day, okay?
08:35You too.
08:35Bye-bye.
08:36Bye.
08:36If you just join us, grounds for divorce.
08:38Ryan wins passes for golf on Mackinac Island during a charity golf outing.
08:42You can't use them, so you want to sell them.
08:45Yeah.
08:45If they're yours, you want them.
08:46Yeah, make some money off them.
08:47No, no, no, no, no.
08:48You can't sell them because you didn't pay for them.
08:52Yeah.
08:52You got to give them away, right?
08:53She just wants me to give them away or, yeah.
08:55Well, what you got, you got to give it to your mama.
08:58That was a Chili Peppers reference.
09:00Anyway.
09:01Like, bro, any dollar we can make right now.
09:04Bruh.
09:05You know?
09:05That's what I said to her.
09:06Bruh, listen to me, dog.
09:08You stupid, bruh.
09:09You turn into Christopher Walken.
09:10Listen, Heidi.
09:12We need the money.
09:14Fence, not even two.
09:15We got diapers everywhere.
09:17Yeah.
09:18So, A, does anybody understand Heidi's side on this?
09:21And is Ryan really doing anything wrong?
09:23And I think it's been pretty unanimous so far, Newt.
09:26Yeah, even in the text messages and on Facebook, I don't see, I mean, a couple of people are
09:31like bad karma, but I don't get the karma.
09:33It wasn't a gift.
09:34Yeah.
09:35You're not, it's not like you, yeah.
09:37Now, I know like when you win a 50-50 raffle at a charity thing, which I won one.
09:42And it was for Zach when we went to have the fundraiser.
09:45Yeah, you turn that around.
09:46Absolutely.
09:47Give it right back.
09:47You have to.
09:48That's karma.
09:50You win in that.
09:50I do it at this outing.
09:51Speaking of that, didn't do that.
09:53No.
09:55Yeah.
09:55That is a big bag.
09:57That's a three wood of bad karma upside your forehead.
09:59Yeah, he took it and turned right around.
10:01What are you doing?
10:02I kind of love the move, though.
10:03I was like, screw you.
10:04I won.
10:06Okay, hold on.
10:07Line four.
10:08Hi, good morning, Big Jim's house.
10:09Who's this?
10:10This is Tony.
10:11Tony, you're on the radio.
10:12Say hi to everyone.
10:13Hi, everybody.
10:14What do you think, man?
10:16I'm going to go with Heidi on this one.
10:18Yeah?
10:19Why?
10:21Because she's in need of support.
10:23I feel bad for her.
10:25I really think Ryan should do whatever he wants, but I'm just going to throw one out
10:29for her because I feel like people are piling on her.
10:32That was a radio hug you just sent her.
10:33Tony, that was nice of you, buddy.
10:35She's going to like that, yeah.
10:35Have a good day, man.
10:36All right.
10:37Okay.
10:37Later.
10:39Oh, line two.
10:40Hi, who's this?
10:42Hey, it's Scott.
10:43Scott, you're on the radio.
10:44Go ahead.
10:45I think that Ryan should auction him off on your radio and then give the money to the
10:51list program so the teachers can have some more school stuff.
10:57I see what you're saying, Scott.
10:59No, I don't want to guilt you into doing that.
11:01I mean, it's, you know, it's something you want.
11:04I don't...
11:05Well, I did at one point.
11:06I was like, should we give them away on the show?
11:08I told you no.
11:09Yeah.
11:10I don't want to tell you that.
11:11I said, uh-uh.
11:11Those are yours, man.
11:12You don't need to do that.
11:13Right.
11:13No.
11:14I mean, I just think if you can make some money off of stuff, all extra money is, you
11:19know, extra money, right?
11:21So.
11:22Well, yeah.
11:23That's the saying, right?
11:24Exactly.
11:25Yeah.
11:25I think Thomas Edison has said that or something.
11:27Oh, good Lord.
11:28Yeah.
11:28You're never going to see a lot of Ryan's posts at Greenfield Village.
11:30The extra money is the extra money, man.
11:31Ryan Logan.
11:32The extra money you make is money.
11:36Mommy, what's this building?
11:38It's an outhouse.
11:39That's where we're at.
11:39We're at the outhouse at Greenfield Village.
11:41Let me get this one.
11:42Hi, good morning, Big Jim's house.
11:43Who's this?
11:45Hey, this is Pat calling.
11:46Hi, Pat.
11:47You're on the radio.
11:48Say hi to everyone.
11:49Hi, everybody.
11:50Oh, go ahead.
11:51Just a thing about for the golf that he's got.
11:56Yeah.
11:56He could pay it forward and re-donate it to another cause.
12:01I have a golf outing this weekend for veterans.
12:04I would gladly take them off his hands.
12:07Or I would even purchase them from him so I could use it towards money.
12:11Hey, Harold, do me a favor.
12:12I don't want to do that because I don't want to put that.
12:14I don't think that's fair to do that, Brian, publicly.
12:16Not you.
12:16I'm talking about me doing that.
12:17However, email us, bigjimshouseatwcsx.com.
12:21Is it too late for people to get in on the tournament this weekend?
12:25I still have some openings, yes.
12:28It's a Saturday, so yes.
12:29Do me a favor.
12:30Seriously, email that to us, bigjimshouseatwcsx.com.
12:34And we'll see what we can do to spread the word, okay?
12:37Okay.
12:37All right, buddy.
12:38God bless you.
12:38Thanks for your service, by the way.
12:40Okay, thank you.
12:41All right.
12:41Okay.
12:42Bye.
12:42Bye.
12:43Okay.
12:45So, sell them, dude.
12:47You want them fair and square.
12:48You didn't take them from a charity for nothing.
12:51You gave them money.
12:54Yeah, that's true.
12:54Plus, paid for the golfing to get into the outing.
12:57Sure.
12:58All the extra stuff, you know.
13:00Yeah.
13:00Yeah.
13:01Sell them.
13:03All right.
13:03I mean, I didn't really need too much convincing.
13:06I was just really trying to figure out my wife's side on this if I was missing something,
13:09but it seems like I'm not.
13:12Every money is extra money.
13:13Every money is extra money, dude.
13:17Let's quote that.
13:17That should be our new mission statement.
13:19Is that what it is?
13:20Every money is extra money.
13:22Okay.
13:23Again, Greenfield Village has not called yet.
13:25I'm hoping.
13:27Great minds of the 21st century.
13:30820.
13:31It's Big Jim's house.
13:32Still to come, Summer Concert Ticket Giveaway, 9.05.
13:36Tickets to see Skynyrd and ZZ Top at Pine Knob, August 26th.
13:41I'm sure maybe we can get some tickets from them if you want to resell those as well.
13:44Apparently, you're just selling everything.
13:46You don't care about teachers, according to the one listener.
13:48No, stop.
13:48I know.
13:49I know.
13:49I know.
13:49I know.
