Four people were injured, one seriously, after a fire broke out at a firecracker sales canopy in Kampung Batu 9, Pekan Sabak Bernam, Selangor, early Tuesday (April 1) morning.

00:17said a team was dispatched following a distress call at 1.08 am.
00:22Upon arrival, they found the fire at the 40-square-foot canopy had already been extinguished.
00:27The victims, all in their 20s, had been transported to Tengku Ampuan Jema Hospital.
00:33One of them suffered serious injuries to both legs and his right hand, while the others
00:38sustained minor injuries.
00:40Sabak, Burnham Police Chief Superintendent Muhammad Yusuf Ahmad confirmed that the vendor
00:45had a permit to sell firecrackers and fireworks at the canopy.
00:50The case is being investigated under Section 285 of the Penal Code.
