00:00The area around Morgantown, West Virginia, still wet out there and we have some thunderstorms.
00:04As I turn the lightning on, you can see the thunderstorms are moving through eastern
00:07Pennsylvania, northern Virginia and kind of north-central Maryland right now. Still well
00:12northwest of Baltimore and D.C. at this point, but the northernmost lightning strikes have at
00:18times moved through New York City. I don't want to neglect this area of thunderstorms kind of
00:22clipping near LaGuardia and up into parts of the Bronx and areas around far, far southern
00:28New York State there. Northern parts of Nassau County may have a couple of rumbles of thunder
00:32around, so that's the northernmost of the thunderstorms. And then we head into areas
00:36around eastern Pennsylvania, Allentown, into areas around Lehigh County and down into
00:42Berks County, down through northern and northwestern Lancaster County. Other areas
00:46around York County, PA, and all the way down into central parts of Maryland, Westminster,
00:51out to Frederick, Maryland. We're facing some scattered thunderstorms that are making
00:55some noise. And also out near Warrington and Front Royal here, Winchester. We're facing some
01:00thunderstorms still mainly west of Warrington, but right over Luray Caverns, a thunderstorm
01:05in progress, and right on down into North Carolina. Now we have the warnings turned on.
01:09At this moment, we don't have any current severe thunderstorm warnings officially in progress in
01:14North Carolina. There is a strong thunderstorm approaching the area of Sanford, North Carolina.
01:19A little bit of wind, small hail, not quite enough hail to justify a true severe warning,
01:23but the largest cluster of severe warn cells are moving into Moncks Corner and through Somerville,
01:28South Carolina, still west of Georgetown, west of Myrtle Beach. So many areas here like
01:33Williamsburg County, Clarendon County, Orangeburg County, Berkeley County, Colleton County,
01:37under severe thunderstorm warnings. Areas farther south there, forgive the abrupt map move there,
01:44areas around Beaufort County, South Carolina, facing some strong but not quite severe storms.
01:48But into Ware County, Georgia, and western Charleston County, there is a severe thunderstorm
01:51in progress, and the lightning there is pretty abundant, and also a nasty little storm.
01:56Slow mover near Daytona Beach. An updated look at the ongoing severe thunderstorm watches,
02:01kind of getting trimmed down, and just two remaining watches now from Raleigh down to
02:05Florence and Charleston down to Jacksonville until 10 p.m. and 9 p.m. Just as I was on radar,
02:12the western watch here for Charlotte has been canceled about an hour early. So that's some
02:16good news there, Anna. But overall, we got some risks here, medium risk into the southeast,
02:21still central South Carolina, but we got a bigger problem coming at midweek.
