00:00We're looking at a mix of types of precipitation for the Midwest, the
00:03Northeast, north central tiers of the country as well as we head into mid
00:07week now taking a look at alerts that have already been issued. None of these
00:11are in effect quite yet. They've been issued ahead of things starting
00:15tomorrow and some of these like the winter weather advisories here kind of
00:20east or west of Chicago that will go into effect tomorrow morning and then
00:24the ice storm warning here in the winter weather advisories. Those will
00:27go into effect more towards the evening, which is indicative of the
00:30timing of this storm here. Let's go ahead and lay out exactly what to
00:34expect for you. I mentioned multiple types of precipitation, but we'll see
00:38some mixing in between kind of the categories here. Some snow, then
00:41freezing rain, then rain, some situations like that. As far as the
00:45impacts, a lot of different impacts for a lot of different kind of situations
00:49depending on where you are. As far as the ice, of course, we're talking about
00:52dangerous travel conditions, but even power outages are possible. There is a
00:56small area with a small severe weather threat. As far as the snow, we're
01:01expecting a couple inches of snow, so more of the impacts are coming from the
01:05mix in of that ice. Behind all of this, we have cold, gusty winds to look
01:10forward to. Here's that severe weather threat. Like I mentioned, not a very
01:13large area and not a very large severe weather threat either. We're not
01:16talking about a tornado outbreak or anything like that, but we are talking
01:20about the risk of some hail and some locally damaging wind gusts, which can
01:23lead to localized power outages as well. There's a couple areas of snow
01:27that we have to break down. This is not necessarily the main snow from this
01:32storm, but we are going to see some snow move through the northern portions of
01:36the north central region of the country. 1 to 3 inches for the most part, not a
01:40huge impact. Then ahead of the storm, we have a quick burst of some snow. Then
01:45here comes the main event here. 1 to 3 inches for the most part, some areas
01:49with 3 to 6 inches of snow. But like I mentioned, some areas are going to start
01:53with this snow and then move over to freezing rain, maybe some sleet and
01:57then plain old rain to finish things off.
