00:00The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised a continued program

00:05for sufficient food for the poorest Filipinos.

00:09In fact, according to Malacanang,

00:11around 300,000 households, or 1,500,000 individuals,

00:16received assistance of P3,000 a month to buy food.

00:21The government studied the report of social weather stations

00:25that said that 27.2% experienced involuntary hunger or starvation.

00:32Aside from financial assistance,

00:34the Department of Social Welfare and Development also supports

00:37the Walang Gutom Kitchen,

00:39which provides hot meals or cooked food to low-income families in Pasay City.

00:46Aside from that, we also have the DSWD program.

00:52This is the Walang Gutom Project Cuisinero Cook-off Challenge

00:59to improve public nutrition.

01:02And there is also the Walang Gutom Project

01:05that provides eligible families with electronic benefit transfer.

01:09This is P3,000 monthly food credits.
