A 41-year-old driver, who could not brake her car in time, rammed into five other vehicles along a busy road in Skudai, Johor, resulting in injuries.

Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh said the accident took place at KM8 of Jalan Johor Baru-Air Hitam at 12.30pm on Friday (March 28).

00:17kilometre 8 of Jalan Johor Bahru Ayer Hitam at 12.30pm on Friday.
00:24He said the investigation revealed that the driver was heading towards Skudai from Johor
00:28Bahru when she collided with a black multi-purpose vehicle in front of her, which was about to
00:34merge into the left lane.
00:37This impact caused the black vehicle, driven by a 55-year-old man, to crash into a concrete
00:43road divider before hitting a Continental car, a van and two sport utility vehicles.
00:49As a result, the 55-year-old driver suffered broken ribs while the 41-year-old driver sustained
00:55chest injuries.
00:56Both have been treated at a hospital.
00:58Meanwhile, the other drivers, aged 29 to 48, escaped unhurt.
01:04Police have investigated the case under section 43 subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act
01:091987 for reckless and inconsiderate driving.
