00:00We have said all along that no classified material was sent on this messaging thread.
00:06There were no locations, no sources.
00:08The White House Counsel's Office and also, yes, Elon Musk's team, Elon Musk has offered
00:12to put his technical experts on this.
00:15All of this good is happening for our country.
00:17This administration is working hard on behalf of the American public every day.
00:21But the mainstream media continues to be focused on a sensationalized story from the failing
00:27Atlantic magazine that is falling apart by the hour.
00:31Here are the facts.
00:33The National Security Advisor has taken responsibility for this matter.
00:37And the National Security Council immediately said, alongside the White House Counsel's
00:42Office, that they are looking into how a reporter's number was inadvertently added to this messaging
00:47thread.
00:48We have said all along that no classified material was sent on this messaging thread.
00:54There were no locations, no sources, or methods revealed.
00:58And there were certainly no war plans discussed.
01:01The Atlantic has even admitted this themselves.
01:04Their release of these internal messages validates the truth, which we have been saying all along.
01:10If this story proves anything, it proves that Democrats and their propagandists in the mainstream
01:15media know how to fabricate, orchestrate, and disseminate a misinformation campaign
01:21quite well.
01:22And there's arguably no one in the media who loves manufacturing and pushing hoaxes more
01:27than Jeffrey Goldberg.
01:30Goldberg is an anti-Trump hater.
01:32He is a registered Democrat.
01:34Goldberg's wife is also a registered Democrat and a big Democrat donor who used to work
01:39under who?
01:40Hillary Clinton.
01:41This is the same Jeffrey Goldberg who infamously lied about weapons of mass destruction to
01:46get us into the Iraq War, which cost trillions of dollars and thousands of American soldiers.
01:51And how else has Goldberg discredited himself?
01:54By absurdly claiming that President Trump was Vladimir Putin during the 2016 campaign.
02:00By peddling the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax that tried to hijack President Trump's first
02:05term.
02:06By inventing the Suckers and Losers hoax to help Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
02:11By peddling a hoax about President Trump involving Gold Star families to help Kamala Harris in
02:17the 2024 election, which our campaign at the time vigorously denied Jeffrey Goldberg
02:23didn't care.
02:24Two questions if I may, one on Signal, one on the economy.
02:28On Signal, how comfortable is the President with what was shared so far now that the chain
02:34has been released?
02:35The President's view on all of this remains the same today as it did yesterday.
02:40And I think it speaks volumes about the leadership of this President that he went directly to
02:44all of you, members of the press corps.
02:47He was asked, do you want someone else to go out and do a briefing?
02:49And he said, no, I will tackle this story.
02:52I will discuss it.
02:53The people need to hear from me about this situation.
02:56And so his thoughts on this remained the same today.
02:59He has placed great trust in his national security team.
03:03And as for the usage of Signal, as the President said yesterday, as the CIA director has testified
03:08under oath, this is an approved app.
03:11It's an encrypted app.
03:12The Department of Defense, the Department of State, the CIA has it loaded onto government
03:16phones because it is the most secure and efficient way to communicate.
03:21As for, again, the original situation in this messaging thread, the National Security Council,
03:25the White House Counsel's Office continues to look into how this mistake, which the National
03:30Security Advisor has owned, occurred.
03:32And the President has ensured they are doing that.
03:34He says F-18s would launch.
03:37The DOD manual details classified information as significant military plans, saying that
03:43is secret, that that's classified.
03:45So what about, there are no methods, there are no sources, but that's not what determines
03:50what's classified.
03:51So what is it about what Pete Hexeth wrote that makes you say this is not classified?
03:56Well, it's not just me saying that, Peter.
03:57It's the Secretary of Defense himself who is saying this as well.
04:02And he put out a very strong statement earlier today listing all of the things that were
04:06not included in that message that he sent to the group.
04:09And again, this message, there was no classified information transmitted.
04:12There were no war plans discussed.
04:15Why did the Atlantic downgrade their allegation about war plans to attack plans?
04:20They're now playing word games because they know this was sensationalist spin from a reporter
04:24who is well known for doing this.
04:26We have said all along no war plans were discussed, no classified material was sent.
04:30You have the Secretary of Defense saying that.
04:32You have the Director of the CIA, the Director of National Intelligence.
04:36The FBI Director all testifying to that under oath, and they should be trusted with that.
04:40To be clear, Americans can make the decision for themselves, but whether it's the...
04:44Sure.
04:45You said it's not war plans.
04:47Would you characterize these as military plans, military operation plans?
04:52I would characterize this messaging thread as a policy discussion, a sensitive policy
04:57discussion surely amongst high level cabinet officials and senior staff.
05:01And I'm so glad, Peter, that you said the American public can decide for themselves
05:06because I think the American public should decide for themselves based on the outcome
05:09of this operation.
05:11And what happened in this operation?
05:13Terrorists that were allowed to run wild by the Biden administration were killed because
05:18of the direction and the determination of this president and his team.
05:22And this message also shows, this messaging thread also proved that President Trump has
05:27an incredibly dynamic team who is working incredibly hard, flying all over the world
05:32to secure world peace and to fix up the foreign policy crises that the previous administration
05:38left for this team to inherit.
05:40I'd like to clarify something about the investigation and also ask about some conservative commentary.
05:45On the investigation, Mike Waltz said last night that he had spoken to Elon Musk about
05:50figuring out how Jeffrey Goldberg's number got in his phone.
05:53You mentioned the NSC and the White House Counsel's Office investigating.
05:56Could you just clarify who is investigating, who's leading that?
05:59And also, Dave Portnoy, who endorsed President Trump, said today that he thinks that Mike
06:06Waltz should leave.
06:07Could you respond to that?
06:09Sure.
06:10Great respect for Dave Portnoy, but I just answered that previous question from Jennifer.
06:16As for your original question about who's leading looking into the messaging thread,
06:21the National Security Council, the White House Counsel's Office, and also, yes, Elon Musk's
06:25team.
06:26Mike Waltz offered to put his technical experts on this to figure out how this number was
06:31inadvertently added to the chat, again, to take responsibility and ensure this can never
06:34happen again.
06:35Caroline, the Republicans and Democrats alike have been expressing some concern about the
06:40frequency of which senior Trump officials have been using the Signal app.
06:45Has there been discussion, or will there be a review, about how often they use Signal
06:50and if you could explain to us how they might be considering other applications to get away
06:56from something like this happening again?
06:58Sure.
06:59Well, again, first of all, Signal has been an approved app for government use.
07:03It's an encrypted app, and as I said, it's the most safe and efficient way of communicating,
07:09especially when people can't be in a SCIF or inside a room physically together.
07:14I think, as the President said yesterday, he wishes that everybody could be in the room,
07:18and it's our goal to ensure that everybody can be, but again, no classified information
07:23was discussed in this chat, and any time classified information is discussed amongst high-level
07:28officials across this administration, secure lines of communication are used, including,
07:33by the way, our special envoy, Steve Whitkoff, who I understand the Wall Street Journal erroneously
07:39reported that he was on this Signal chat on a personal device while in Moscow.
07:43That is absolutely false.
07:45Steve Whitkoff did not have his personal device, nor did he have his government device
07:49with him.
07:50He was given a classified, protected server by the United States government, and he was
07:55very careful about his communications when he was in Russia, so rest assured to the American
08:00public, this administration is taking every precaution when it comes to protecting our
08:05national security, and that's why the American people re-elected this President, because
08:08they know that our national security is in good hands with the President of the United
08:12States.
08:13Don't miss out.
