00:00But we're here for a reason today that is very exciting, and I'm thrilled to announce

00:07that at my direction, the United States Air Force is moving forward with the world's first

00:13sixth-generation fighter jet.

00:15Number six.

00:16Sixth generation.

00:19Nothing in the world comes even close to it.

00:22And it'll be known as the F-47.

00:24The generals picked a title.

00:26And it's a beautiful number, F-47.

00:31It's something the likes of which nobody has seen before in terms of all of the attributes

00:38of a fighter jet.

00:40There's never been anything even close to it, from speed to maneuverability to what

00:43it can have to payload.

00:47And this has been in the works for a long period of time.

00:51After a rigorous and thorough competition between some of America's top aerospace companies,

00:56the Air Force is going to be awarding the contract for the next-generation air dominance

01:02platform to Boeing.

01:05As you know, it was highly competed for.

01:08There was a lot of competition, generals, and it's been going on for a long time.

01:14Very, very tough competition.

01:15But this plane has produced numbers that nobody has ever seen before.

01:21The F-47 will be the most advanced, most capable, most lethal aircraft ever built.

01:28An experimental version of the plane has secretly been flying for almost five years.

01:33And we're confident that it massively overpowers the capabilities of any other nation.

01:39There's no other nation.

01:40We know every other plane.

01:41I've seen every one of them.

01:43And it's not even close.

01:44This is a next level.

01:47You know, level five is good.

01:48This is level six, they say.

01:50The F-47 is equipped with state-of-the-art stealth technology.

01:54It's virtually unseeable and unprecedented power.

01:59It's got the most power of any jet of its kind ever made.

02:05Maneuverability, likewise, is the — there's never been anything like it, despite the power

02:10and speed.

02:13Its speed is top — it's over two, which is something that you don't hear very often.

02:21America's enemies will never see it coming.

02:23Hopefully, we won't have to use it for that purpose, but you have to have it.

02:27And if it ever happens, they won't know what the hell hit them.

02:33A new fleet of these magnificent planes will be built in the — and in the — during

02:37my administration over the next couple of years.

02:41It's ready to go.

02:42They've already built much of what has to be built in terms of production, including

02:48the sheds.

02:49We'll ensure that the USA continues to dominate the skies.

02:52We've given an order for a lot.

02:54We can't tell you the price because it would give — it would give way to some of the

02:59technology and some of the size of the plane, good size.
