‘Bones’ Costars Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo Are ‘Open’ Possible Reboot After ‘Incredible’ Podcast

00:00I would. I'm, I'm very vocal about it. I'm like the first one to be like,

00:05hey, hey, Art Hanson. What about a reboot? Like, I'm, I have no, I have no game. I,

00:12I'm like, what are we doing? Like, since we've been doing the podcast, it's been incredible.

00:16We've keep reconnecting with people. Emily keeps the best Rolodex. She's in touch with everybody

00:21and anyone that we ever want to talk to. She's like, oh yeah, I was just texting with her

00:24yesterday. I'll just see if she wants to come on the podcast. And so we have access to every single

00:29guest we've wanted and getting back together with everybody has been like, we just talked to Eugene

00:36Byrd recently. And I was like, I miss these people. I miss being together. We did Michaela

00:41Conlin the other day and we filmed it. And it was like so joyous. Like I find myself actually,

00:47this is embarrassing, but I've been like watching the clips of us filming, like, you know,

00:52like I reposted it to my Instagram the other day. Cause I'm very bad at that. So I was like

00:56watching it as I was doing it and it like brings me so much joy for just watching us all back

01:01together. So, I mean, that's my, I'll just put my vote in. I would like to do, I would like to do.

01:08Not every job is joyous and fun. Not that every moment was. There are hard times and it was a lot

01:14of hard work, but not every job, you have a great time doing it and you enjoy the people you work

01:23with so much like we did on Bones. So, I mean, I mean, I'm open to it. I don't know who makes

01:30these decisions, but you know, I'm open to such a thing. Well, I would say that Carla and I just

01:37love to chat. We became friends meeting on Bones and we can't stop talking to each other. It's hard

01:46for us to get off the phone. A lot of times we're supposed to talk about something specific. Now

01:51that we're doing the podcast, we're supposed to talk about the podcast and we'll talk for an hour

01:55and then it'd be like, oh wait, we didn't talk about the thing that we're supposed to talk about.

01:58So we just love chit-chatting and, you know, people are doing these rewatch podcasts and,

02:05you know, we were, we like the idea of an excuse to have to chat with each other weekly. And

02:12so that's how this was born. We're often pulling into pickup, kid pickup, and then I gotta go

02:19because I'm actually pulling in right now. And then inevitably both, she has a child get into

02:24her car and I have one get into mine who has something to say immediately. And I'm like,

02:28I'm on, I'm on with, but I need a snack. And I'm like, I'm on with Emily. I'm on with Emily.

02:33So that's, that's the, like, why not share that gold with the world?

02:42The worst is when like, they've had an emotional moment and then-

02:46That happened the other day. I was like, Emily, I'm going to have to go.

02:49You never know what you're going to get when the kids get in the car.

02:52You know, sometimes they've had a rough time. Sometimes they want to chat about something

02:55very exciting, but that's our prime time of talking to each other is pickup line.
