00:00Big strike on red terror. 22 Naxal terrorists eliminated. 77 kills this year and counting.
00:20Home Minister Shah vows Naxal cleanup by 2026. War on red terror. Big focus at 5 p.m.
00:48Even as we speak, operations are currently underway and we are now being told in two operations incidentally that are underway in Chhattisgarh so far 30 red terrorists have been neutralized.
01:03Unfortunately the nation has also lost a brave soldier in the counter red terror operations and over the course of the next half hour I get you all details.
01:11I'm Gaurav Sawant. We'll be joined by reporters covering this massive operation but first as always the headlines on Five Life.
01:23More than 84 rioters now arrested in Nagpur. Police claim no religious text on Chadar that was burned. More than 140 provocative social media posts have been identified and action initiated.
01:42Punjab government clears Kisan protest camps at the Punjab-Haryana border. Protest tents bulldoze. Nearly 700 farmers including leaders detained. Farmer leaders to stage more protests today.
01:57Artificial intelligence chat box GROK under scrutiny for a Hindi slang. IT ministry writes to X over GROK's abuses. Center seeks probe on GROK's Hindi abuses.
02:14The United States deports an Indian student over support for Hamas. The post-doctoral student Badar Khan Suri sent back earlier Rajini Srinivasan had self-deported.
02:32Salary hike for a Neta's bill in Karnataka assembly. Bill seeks 100% pay hike for MLAs and the Chief Minister plush allowances for MLCs. Whip another Neta's BJP mocks Rahul Gandhi's Khatakhat model.
03:02Union Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken of a ruthless approach in dealing with Red Terror. Remember there was a time pre-2014 when it was said that Red Terror is or the left-wing extremism is the biggest challenge to India's national security.
03:29Now we are being told the Union Home Minister Amit Shah has hailed this encounter. 30 Naxals have been killed in two encounters in Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reiterated his pledge that India would be Red Terror free by 31 March 2026.
03:48He's hailed the encounters. 30 Red Terrorists have been neutralized so far in two encounters and the encounters are still underway. Chhattisgarh encounters are a result of nimble-footed approach of the Chhattisgarh security forces.
04:06So you have the Cobra Commandos, you have the Central Reserve Police Force, you have the DRG, you have multiple forces, you have technical intelligence, you have surveillance, you have drones and in areas where it's very difficult to reach in a four-wheeler, you have security forces on two-wheelers in buddy system swiftly moving from one area to the other.
04:30So 30 Naxals have been neutralized. We are told the information that's just coming in, 26 Red Terrorists neutralized in the Bijapur encounter. So there have been two encounters, 26 in Bijapur encounter, four in the Kanker encounter and that's not all.
04:46Large amount of arms, ammunition that's also been recovered. Warlike stores have been recovered. Information that we are able to get right now is AK-47 series assault rifles, SLRs, self-loading rifles, INSAS 5.56 rifles. Of course, even the older .303, they've also been recovered and this just shows the kind of arsenal the Red Terrorists have access to.
05:13From light machine guns and instances to AK series assault rifles to INSAS 5.56 often looted from security forces. Sadly, the nation has also lost one brave soldier in the counter-terror operation that is still underway.
05:30I'll get you much more on this story, not just on these two encounters but the wider strategy, a strategy that was adopted in 2014, a strategy that was refined in 2019, a strategy that's yielded rich dividends in 2024.
05:45Whereas the situation in the past was one third of the districts were impacted by Red Terror. There was virtually a Red Terror corridor in our country from the Nepal border almost all the way down to Karnataka and from Maharashtra to Jharkhand and Odisha.
06:02So, you know, the heart of Central India and this corridor passing north to south and east to west was a cause for grave concern but a systematic approach and the Home Minister saying that by 31st March 2026, Red Terror will be history.
06:18Hidima, one of the top commanders remains elusive. We'll talk about that in greater detail but just listen in to what the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister is saying, what the Inspector General of Operations is saying and security forces on ground. We'll get to their reactions.
06:48We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions.
07:18We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to
07:48their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to their reactions. We'll get to
08:09He joins us live for more on these operations.
08:12Jeetendra, you are in touch with your sources in the Home Ministry.
08:16First, tell us about these two operations.
08:19How were these operations carried out?
08:22We are now getting news that 30 left-wing extremists have been killed.
08:28Is the operation still going on?
08:34Look, Gaurav, the operation is still going on in some places.
08:37But we are getting information that the pin-pointed operation was carried out in two places by the security agencies.
08:43The operation carried out in Bijapur is very important.
08:48Because the bodies of 26 Naxalites have been recovered here.
08:51And from here, war-like weapons, bullets and explosives have been found in many places.
08:58We have also received information that weapons like the AK-47 have also been found in many places near the Naxalites.
09:07This was a major operation carried out in Bijapur.
09:11The second operation was carried out in Kanker.
09:14In this operation, BSF soldiers and DRG soldiers were present.
09:19Four Naxalites were killed in this operation.
09:21A total of 30 Naxalites have been recovered by the security forces.
09:26But it is also being said that the number of Naxalites can increase further.
09:30Because the same operation was carried out on 9th March.
09:34And even during that time, the security forces had gathered 31 Naxalites.
09:38So far, more than 80 Naxalites have been gathered by the security forces this year.
09:43And these big operations are being successful due to this.
09:46Because electronic surveillance is being continuously increased by the security agencies in these areas.
09:51Along with that, I myself went to the area of 5 km through a drone.
09:57Where the Naxalites' den was once considered.
10:00But now the security agencies have established their forward operating base there.
10:05And from there, surveillance is being carried out all around in the area of 5 km.
10:09And after that, it is being gradually increased in all these areas.
10:13And as soon as the security forces reach the place where these Naxalites stay,
10:17where their den is,
10:21after that, pinpointed operations are being carried out.
10:23So, in this way, a lot of success is being achieved.
10:26Central Home Minister Amit Shah has also said that by 31st March 2026,
10:32it will be completely eliminated.
10:34If we talk about the last year,
10:36last year, more than 285 Naxalites were gathered.
10:41And around 1000 Naxalites were surrendered.
10:45The same number of Naxalites were arrested.
10:48So, big operations are being carried out in these areas.
10:51It's a multi-pronged strategy.
10:53Jitendra, stay with me and we'll talk about this in greater detail.
10:55Because the nation must know.
10:57Remember, there was a time during the previous regime,
11:00and I'm talking about pre-2014,
11:02when Red Terror was described as the greatest internal security threat to India.
11:09To a time in 2025,
11:12where the Union Home Minister is claiming, and he's insisting,
11:15he's sticking to his guns,
11:17by 31st March 2026, Red Terror will be over.
11:21It won't be there in a single district of the country.
11:24That's what he's claiming.
11:25So, what are the changes that were brought in the strategy?
11:28Remember, it has to be a whole-of-the-nation approach,
11:31and Red Terrorists in the past,
11:33and we've all covered left-wing extremism,
11:34where terrorists or these,
11:37the left-wing extremists would escape.
11:39The moment Maharashtra would mount an operation,
11:41they would go into Madhya Pradesh,
11:43they would go into Chhattisgarh.
11:44If Chhattisgarh mounted pressure,
11:46they would go into Jharkhand,
11:47they would go into Bihar,
11:48they would go into Andhra or Bengal,
11:50and they had multiple hideouts.
11:53State-wise operations were not succeeding.
11:56The state and the center, they came together,
11:58and often, if there was the same government in both,
12:02and that's something that Union Home Minister Amit Shah
12:04has also spoken of, the success,
12:06especially in Chhattisgarh,
12:07which was seen as the Red Terror center,
12:10the success came when the center and the state,
12:12the Central Reserve Police Force,
12:14the Cobra Commandos, the DRG, local boys,
12:18sons of the soil, when they all came together,
12:21used technical intelligence, surveillance,
12:24human intelligence, everything came together,
12:27and development.
12:28Roads, electricity, schools, hospitals, lines,
12:32all of that coming together, lines of communication,
12:35that is where the Red Terror was just taken
12:38into a smaller area, it shrunk their area of operation,
12:42multi-state operations were mounted,
12:44and what we are now being told, big story,
12:4677 Naxals killed so far this year.
12:51Hunt is on for the top Naxal commander,
12:55now he is the person of interest,
12:59and there's technical mapping and surveillance on
13:01in over 125 villages that's being done.
13:05Massive search operations are underway
13:08across multiple states, whether it's Chhattisgarh,
13:10or Odisha, or Andhra Pradesh, or even Maharashtra,
13:13so from the western corner in Maharashtra
13:17to Odisha, the eastern corner,
13:20that's where, that's how vast the area
13:23for Naxals to operate was.
13:25The hunt is still on for Hidma.
13:28I want to bring in Sumi Kewal Patel,
13:31joining us on the show,
13:32also with us is Jeetendra Bahadur Singh,
13:34and Jeetendra, Hidma is still out of
13:38the grip of the security forces,
13:40and this is from one state to another,
13:43to a third state, and many times,
13:44they come to the cities and change their attire,
13:48the problem of urban Naxalism remains with them,
13:51and the big challenge is to catch Hidma
13:54and put an end to the Red Terror.
14:00Hidma is a big challenge for the security forces,
14:04and the security agencies are trying their best.
14:08We have seen that the Hidma village,
14:11has a 10-kilometer-wide forward operating base,
14:14Gundam is that place,
14:16and there was a time when the training camp was for Naxals,
14:19but now the security forces are in their upper hand,
14:23and if there is any movement of Naxals in this area,
14:26then a major operation will be carried out against them.
14:29Hidma is a Naxal,
14:31who is the commander of PLGA-1,
14:33and has always been roaming around in disguise,
14:37but efforts are being made to include other agencies,
14:41including the NIA,
14:42and electronic surveillance has also been established,
14:46and around 125 villages in this area,
14:50are being mapped,
14:52and technical mapping is being done,
14:53and information will be obtained through this,
14:55that what kind of movement is there in these areas.
14:58NTRO is providing a lot of support to the security agencies,
15:04and NTRO is continuously keeping an eye on these villages,
15:08so that all information can be obtained,
15:10that if a Naxal commander moves in this area in any way,
15:14then pinpointed information is given to the security agencies,
15:17after which an operation will be carried out against him.
15:19Hidma is a big challenge,
15:21but it is believed that in the coming few months,
15:24or in a few days,
15:25Hidma will also be taken over by the security forces.
15:28Okay,
15:29this idea of left-wing extremism,
15:33is such a big challenge for the security forces,
15:36because first they used to have weapons like .303,
15:42then the self-loading rifle came,
15:44then they have modern weapons,
15:48they get a lot of money,
15:51from looting and other ways,
15:54but urban Naxalism is also a big problem.
15:58When the Central Home Minister spent a night at a forward operating base near Hidma village,
16:05it was such a time when the security forces also used to come out of this red terror fort by evening,
16:10that they went in the day and came back by evening.
16:13Now, people are living as FOBs,
16:15but how big a challenge is it to end that thought?
16:18Jeetendra.
16:23Absolutely, Gaurav,
16:24the way the Red Corridor was built in different areas,
16:29there was a time when along with Bijapur,
16:33Sukma and Dantewada were a large-scale tri-junction,
16:36and here it was considered a big fort of the Naxalites.
16:39But gradually, FOBs were built in these areas,
16:43and we have information that in the last few months,
16:47more than a dozen FOBs have been built in this area by the security forces,
16:53that the locals living in this area,
16:56who were constantly recruited by the Naxalite commander,
17:01have been controlled by this FOB.
17:06What is happening here is that the schemes of the Rajya Sarkar,
17:10as well as the schemes of the Kain Sarkar,
17:12are reaching the people here.
17:14So, the Naxalites, who used to try to mislead them,
17:17have been successfully controlled by the security forces here.
17:23In the coming time, it is being said that
17:25in all these areas, similar FOBs will be built in the areas where the Naxalites are left,
17:31and in those areas, a forward operating base will be built,
17:35and similar developments will be carried out in the areas around it,
17:39which will stop the recruitment of the Naxalites.
17:43The NIA is also working on this.
17:45The NIA is funding the Naxalites in all these areas,
17:49and is carrying out big operations against the urban Naxals living in the cities.
17:55And in the last few days, we have seen that
17:58more than a dozen raids have been carried out by the NIA,
18:01be it in Bihar, Jharkhand, Lucknow, and other places.
18:06In this way, the people who are present in different areas,
18:08are being operated against to stop the funding.
18:11And this is a very big step of the Kain Sarkar,
18:14which will be seen in the coming time.
18:17And this is why it is being seen that the backs of the Naxalites are being broken,
18:20pinpointed operations are being carried out against them.
18:24You have spoken of operations on ground,
18:27you have spoken of operations on a larger scale,
18:30Jitendra Bahadur Singh for joining me here on India Today.
18:32Many thanks.
18:33Union Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken of a ruthless approach.
18:37He has also spoken of a multi-pronged strategy.
18:40Multi-pronged strategy is those who give up arms,
18:44those who surrender,
18:45they would be once again taken back into the fold of the state.
18:51They can operate and live freely in society.
18:53But those who continue to fight the state,
18:56there will be a ruthless approach.
18:58He has also spoken of how when the centre and the state,
19:01when security forces operate in tandem,
19:04when from NTROs, technical intelligence,
19:07to surveillance, to drones, to ground operations,
19:10when all of them work in tandem and in sync,
19:13the success rate is higher.
19:16Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke exclusively to India Today's Raj Chingappa.
19:23Amit Shah ji, when you became the Home Minister in 2019,
19:28how serious was the Naxal issue at that time?
19:31Look, there was a lot of change in the Naxal issue from 2014 to 2019.
19:37From the time Modi ji became Prime Minister,
19:40there was a very good campaign against it.
19:44After 2019, we adopted the four-pillar strategy.
19:50First, we took two steps to tackle the Naxal issue.
19:55Those who have weapons and do not want to use them,
19:59we took a ruthless, tough approach.
20:03Those who want to use weapons,
20:05we also made a flexible surrender policy for them.
20:09Secondly, we had a very good coalition with the states.
20:18I want to say that apart from Chhattisgarh,
20:21Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra,
20:26Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Kamobas, Kerala,
20:31irrespective of party,
20:35every state government supported us.
20:37And from 2014 to 2019, we wiped out the entire Naxal network.
20:47In this, along with cooperation with the states,
20:51we provided the highest level of technical support to the police,
20:56from NTRO to other agencies.
21:01Along with this, we formed a coalition with the state police.
21:06And in many places, we also formed a police team
21:10with the support of four states.
21:13With this, they cannot take advantage of the borders of the states.
21:18And earlier, there used to be one or two campaigns.
21:20Now, we have started four campaigns in succession.
21:25Because of this, we got a lot of benefit in this reform.
21:30We did not get full support in Chhattisgarh.
21:32But fortunately, the government of the Indian People's Party came there.
21:36And in one year, the entire scenario, from 2024 to 2025,
21:41from 23rd December to 24th December,
21:45the entire scenario has changed.
21:47I can say with confidence that on 31st March 2026,
21:53this country will get rid of the Naxal problem.
21:59So, the government moved very systematically,
22:02adopting the whole of the nation approach.
22:04And the change truly started coming in the past couple of years.
22:08Take for example, 2024.
22:10And 2024 has been one of the bigger years of success for the security forces,
22:15where 219 Red Terrorists were neutralised.
22:18When DRG, STF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB,
22:23multiple forces were used in multiple sectors
22:26to pin down the Red Terrorists,
22:28so that they couldn't move freely from one area to the other.
22:32And it was a multi-state offensive that was undertaken.
22:36As my colleague Jeetendra Bahadur Singh was telling us,
22:38837 surrenders, 1,000 arrests, 287,
22:42including level 1, category 1 commanders of left-wing extremism,
22:48were neutralised in 2024.
22:50Let's talk about 2025.
22:52So today, so far, you've had 30 Red Terrorists neutralised in two encounters.
22:58Sadly, one DRG Jawan also made the supreme sacrifice of his life.
23:03But before that, on 9th February 2025,
23:06there was an operation in Chhattisgarh in which 31 left-wing extremists were neutralised.
23:11Unfortunately, we lost two security forces personnel in that operation too.
23:15On the 18th of January 2025, 18 Maoists again killed in Bijapur.
23:20The 20th of January 2025, Chhattisgarh, 16 Maoists killed.
23:24That happened in Garhiyabandh area.
23:26Then November 2021, and I'm taking you to 2021,
23:29because the change in strategy was having its effect right from then.
23:34When 26 Naxals were killed in an encounter in Garh Chiroli.
23:38Before that, of course, you've had major success.
23:40For example, in 2018 in Maharashtra,
23:43when 37 Naxals again were killed in the Garh Chiroli district.
23:48Jitendra Bahadur Singh has been tracking developments on the story very closely.
23:52He joins me with more on operations that will take place in future now.
23:58So, Jitendra,
24:00the Central Home Minister has set a deadline for March 31, 2026.
24:05By that time, the threat of red terrorism will be completely eliminated.
24:09What does this mean?
24:11Will people be able to come anywhere?
24:14Will the development of Bastar or the development of the entire area be possible?
24:18Or will the big leaders either be killed or surrender?
24:22But they can still remain free.
24:24The operations will still continue.
24:26And the forward operating bases will remain in that area.
24:33Absolutely.
24:34As the Central Home Minister has said,
24:36the Naxals will be completely eliminated by March 31, 2026.
24:40But this does not mean that the security agencies will be removed there.
24:45Security agencies will remain there.
24:48It is also known that the security agencies that are in dense forests
24:51will provide better security to the people there.
24:55It is also said that the Home Minister is constantly visiting Chhattisgarh.
25:00He has said that the Bastar area of Chhattisgarh is more beautiful than Kashmir.
25:08He also gave a statement on this.
25:10And that is why he is saying that tourism can be done better in this area.
25:16Because the Kanker Ghati and Dantewada
25:21and if we talk about Sukma in all these areas,
25:24then this is an area where the natural beauty is of a very good quality.
25:28If the Naxals are completely eliminated here,
25:32then tourism will increase here.
25:33The Central Home Minister and the state government
25:35are taking this step in the same way.
25:38And different avenues and different arrangements are being made there
25:42so that the tourists can go as much as possible.
25:46As far as how the operation will be increased in 2026,
25:50the security forces are using such drones
25:54that can go up to 15 km and complete the reconnaissance.
25:59In those villages, which are around 125,
26:02whose pictures are being given to these security forces through NTRs,
26:05so that if there is any suspicious movement of the Naxals in these areas,
26:10then its detailed information can be given there.
26:12So, in this way, the information that is coming in the control room,
26:15it has to be pinpointed and completed in the Naxal area.
26:21And this is the strategy that is being adopted by the security forces at the moment
26:24that on one hand, the development work should be done,
26:27on the other hand, the operation should be done,
26:28and on the third hand, the work of tourism there,
26:31how it can be improved
26:33so that the tourists can reach this area as much as possible.
26:37Keep an eye on this big news for fresh information.
26:40Then I will come back to you.
26:42Because sorting out left-wing extremism
26:46would be a major success story for the government
26:49and that's something that is required to ensure
26:52that the development plan can move forward.
26:55Jitendra, many thanks.
27:13The Maharashtra police has intensified its investigations
27:17into the Nagpur riots case.
27:20Meanwhile, the Archaeological Survey of India
27:22has covered parts of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's tomb
27:27in the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district.
27:31They've been covered now...
27:32That tomb has been covered with tin sheets.
27:34There's additional security that's being deployed in that area.
27:37CCTV cameras have been installed
27:39and that area has now been declared a no-drone-fly zone.
27:45This, even as the chorus rises across Maharashtra
27:48for the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb.
28:04Trouble mounts with the alleged mastermind
28:06behind the Nagpur violence on Monday
28:08over the burning of an Aurangzeb effigy.
28:13Fahim Khan is charged with treason
28:15and is accused of instigating rioters,
28:17spreading rumours and endangering India's unity.
28:22Other than Fahim Khan, six others also booked for treason.
28:26Over 50 objectionable social media posts which spread rumours

30:11As tensions simmer,
30:13artificial walls now surround Aurangzeb's tomb in Sambhaji Nagar.
30:20Entry into the mausoleum is now restricted
30:23and cell phones are not allowed.
30:25With Mustafa Shaikh and Sumi Rajappan,
30:28Bureau Report, India Today.
30:35India Today's Mustafa Shaikh now joins me
30:37for more on this developing story.
30:39Mustafa, there are several additional charges
30:42against the accused
30:44and there is some conversation about
30:46outside interference to fan communal fires in Nagpur.
30:50What more have police investigations revealed so far?
30:54That's true, Gaurav.
30:56One of the posts,
30:58the user bio in that post said
31:00that he's from Bangladesh.
31:02The Cyber DCP has said that the police
31:04is investigating whether there is
31:06some external hand in
31:08fueling this entire
31:10violence which happened in Nagpur.
31:12The other important part which the police said today
31:14is that post-violence
31:16there was glorification
31:18of what happened in Nagpur
31:20and one of the persons who did it
31:22was Fahim Khan and that's why
31:24this sedition charge
31:26which has been put against him
31:28by the Cyber Police has been done
31:30and there are many more users.
31:32And now the police is also
31:34going through the comments which have been made
31:36and there are obscene and objectionable comments.
31:38Those users have also been booked
31:40and the police is trying to get
31:42their IP address and arrest them.
31:44So one was the arrest which happened
31:46on ground when the violence took place.
31:48The other, starting this violence
31:50and fanning this thing
31:52is the second part.
31:54The third part obviously remains, who are the key
31:56and main players in this violence?
31:58Whether it was planned in a certain way?
32:00How was anybody able
32:02to mobilize such a huge
32:04crowd and who were
32:06these hardened criminals who were
32:08part of this crowd who went on to
32:10misbehave with women policemen
32:12in uniform and assault
32:14the DCP level officers and other policemen
32:16and use petrol bombs on the
32:18police vehicles. So this is the main
32:20investigation now for Nagpur Police to
32:22find the key figures who played
32:24a key role in this entire violence
32:26and whether there is some organization involved
32:28and somebody who has sponsored it.
32:30In fact, that's the point
32:32I wanted to come to. I believe the
32:34Nagpur Police and they're also being assisted
32:36by the ATS or the Anti-Terror
32:38Squad. We're told the STF
32:40are also being roped in
32:42and perhaps the National Investigation
32:44Agency will probe a
32:46terror angle. But what I want to understand is
32:48CCTV camera images,
32:50mobile phone images, all
32:52the images that the police has been able to gather
32:54so far. Is there
32:56any clarity, who were these
32:58individuals who molested
33:00a lady constable
33:02on duty, attempted
33:04to strip her, hurled
33:06abuses at her, hurled abuses
33:08at other women
33:10on duty, women police personnel
33:12on duty and targeted a
33:14DCP, hurled petrol bombs
33:16and crude bombs at the police.
33:18Have any of them been identified?
33:20Well,
33:22the police since day one
33:24is saying that the rioters used
33:26disadvantage of sunset
33:28of dark and then they did
33:30whatever things
33:32and criminal acts they did.
33:34Also, these rioters came
33:36in a group. So, when a
33:38group comes
33:40in front of you or
33:42holds you, it's very difficult to identify
33:44those people exactly what happened
33:46and there was also darkness.
33:48So, what police
33:50is believing at this point, it is possible
33:52that the accused who
33:54assaulted women
33:56police officers, who assaulted the
33:58DCP level officers have been already arrested
34:00but there is also likelihood that they have not
34:02been arrested. So, that's why all the
34:04CCTVs and video footages they are going through
34:06and even after a latest suspicion
34:08the person is being
34:10arrested, nabbed
34:12and nobody will confess to
34:14these cowardly acts which have been
34:16performed. So, the police is
34:18it's a difficult job in front
34:20of, in the hands of the police
34:22to prove that these were the people
34:24which people, because there was a crowd of 400
34:26people, which person exactly
34:28committed which act. It's a difficult
34:30task but yes, the police is
34:32investigating, picking up all
34:34the possible leads in this
34:36lines and also
34:38now that the police has started booking these accused
34:40in stringent acts, it seems
34:42that they will be able to identify
34:44soon who are the people
34:46who have committed these acts back to you.
34:48Stay with me, stay with me Mustafa.
34:50Now, amidst this ongoing controversy
34:52over demands to remove
34:54Aurangzeb's
34:56tomb from the Chhatrapati
34:58Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra
35:00the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
35:02he's made one thing very clear
35:04he said glorifying
35:06actions and activities
35:08of invaders who
35:10attacked India's heritage
35:12and dishonored
35:14the people of Bharat
35:16is treason
35:18and New India will never accept this.
35:20He was addressing a gathering in
35:22Behraich in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister
35:24Yogi Adityanath warned
35:26against celebrating
35:28historical figures
35:30who sought to destroy
35:32the Sanatan culture
35:34of Bharat.
35:56Attacking should not be glorified.
35:58Attacking should not be glorified.
36:00Attacking should not be glorified.
36:02Attacking should not be glorified.
36:04Attacking should not be glorified.
36:06Attacking should not be glorified.
36:08Attacking should not be glorified.
36:10Attacking should not be glorified.
36:12Attacking should not be glorified.
36:14Attacking should not be glorified.
36:16Attacking should not be glorified.
36:18Attacking should not be glorified.
36:20Attacking should not be glorified.
36:22Attacking should not be glorified.
36:24There are people who are comparing
36:26the Yogi model of governance
36:28versus the Devendra Fadnavis
36:30model of governance when it comes
36:32to dealing with rioters but that's one
36:34part of the story. The second part
36:36is a strong statement that
36:38comes from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
36:40Explain the context
36:42where he was speaking
36:44and in what context.
36:48See Gaurav, since the time SP leader
36:50Abu Azmi has spoken
36:52praising especially about Aurangzeb
36:54CM Yogi Adityanath has been
36:56very vocal about attacking
36:58those who are praising Aurangzeb
37:00and this is what happened today in Behrai
37:02district of UP where CM
37:04said that those who are
37:06praising or glorifying the invaders
37:08this act is nothing
37:10more than a treason. So that's what CM
37:12Yogi Adityanath is saying. He is saying
37:14without taking the name of Aurangzeb, he says
37:16that some invaders came to India
37:18looted India when it was called
37:20and then we
37:22have people who are following the
37:24ideology of that particular invader
37:26or that particular ruler
37:28still exists in India in UP
37:30and that's what he is referring to
37:32especially targeting
37:34the opposition parties like Congress
37:36and Samajwadi party. While on the other
37:38hand the opposition parties are saying
37:40that CM is talking about the history
37:42and is not dealing with the present
37:44issues including the unemployment
37:46problems with the farmers
37:48so that's what the claims from the opposition
37:50while CM Yogi Adityanath or
37:52other BJP leaders are slamming
37:54the opposition for speaking
37:56in terms of Aurangzeb
37:58or the Neja Mela
38:00which happens in Sambhal or Behrai
38:02though it has been suspended in Sambhal
38:04but this has been the current issue for UP
38:06but if you talk about Yogi's way of dealing with the
38:08writers we have seen in the
38:10anti-CAA protests and many other protests
38:12when writers came to Lucknow or
38:14different parts even in Behrai
38:16how CM Yogi Adityanath
38:18dealt with them by raising the posters
38:20all across the roads of Lucknow
38:22and other districts. Back to you
38:24Keep tracking that story
38:26we will also talk in greater detail
38:28of course perhaps on another day
38:30about that Neja Mela
38:32that the Deputy Superintendent of Police
38:34of Sambhal made very clear
38:36will no longer be celebrated
38:38anything to do with
38:40invaders of India
38:42will not be celebrated
38:44by those who are involved with the desecration
38:46and loot and plunder of the Somnath
38:48temple but that's a story for another day
38:50I want to shift focus now
38:52to Punjab. In a late night
38:54crackdown on protesting farmers
38:56in Punjab at the
38:58Punjab-Haryana border
39:00and they have been sitting there since February last year
39:02at least 500
39:04farmers have been detained by the Punjab Police
39:06that moved in late at night with bulldozers
39:08and removed
39:10their belongings, removed their
39:12temporary shelters, their fans
39:14and the tin sheds. There were
39:16two farm protest sites
39:18they have been cleared overnight and more than
39:203000 Punjab
39:22Police personnel were deployed
39:24with multiple bulldozers and
39:26JCB earth moving machines
39:28the Punjab government, the Bhagwant Maan
39:30government in Punjab claims
39:32the farmer protest is hurting Punjab's
39:34economy. Industrialists
39:36in Punjab are not happy about it
39:38the opposition is accusing the Aam Aadmi Party
39:40government of hypocrisy
39:42when it comes to the Kisan cause
39:44supporting them when Arvind Kejriwal
39:46was in power in Delhi
39:48but using bulldozers in Punjab
39:50all of this while
39:52the centre is talking to the
39:54protesting farmers and the Bhagwant Maan
39:56government in Punjab is removing
39:58their protest sites
40:10High drama at the Punjab-Haryana
40:12borders
40:14at least 500 to 700
40:16farmers detained in a late night
40:18crackdown
40:20Tens of
40:22farmers protesting since February
40:24last year bulldozed
40:28Dharnaas at the Shambhu and
40:30Khanori borders uprooted swiftly
40:32by 3000 security personnel
40:34and multiple JCBs
40:40Bulldozer action is going on
40:42and now tractor trolleys are being
40:44taken back by some farmers
40:46Punjab government and Punjab police
40:48are continuously taking action
40:50against the farmers
40:54Farmer leaders like Jagjit Singh
40:56Dallewal who were fasting for the
40:58Kisan cause were also detained
41:02The Punjab government crackdown
41:04on unsuspecting farmers soon
41:06after the protesters held talks
41:08in the centre
41:28The state border once swarmed
41:30with farmers is now empty
41:34The last blocks being moved away
41:36by Aam Aadmi Party government
41:38in Punjab
41:40Many would see this as a very unpopular
41:42move especially acting against the farmer
41:46The late night crackdown on farmers
41:48put the spotlight on the Aam Aadmi
41:50Party government in Punjab
41:52which had backed the Kisan cause earlier
41:54Now Bhagwant Man Government
41:56defends the crackdown
41:58claiming that the protests harmed
42:00Punjab's economy
42:06The Aam Aadmi Party says
42:08protest but don't block the national highway
42:16The central government should
42:18ask for the right place
42:20either in Delhi or anywhere
42:22where the central government
42:24listens to them and responds
42:26Blocking the road in Punjab
42:28harms the farmers
42:36You are dividing the cities
42:38and villages
42:40This is not fair
42:58Leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi
43:00joined protests outside parliament
43:02over the Punjab government's crackdown
43:04The farmers
43:16The farmers are now threatening
43:18by their protests against Bhagwant Man
43:20crying betrayal
43:22But so far
43:24the Chief Minister remains silent
43:26on the late night crackdown

49:12but moving on
49:14Elon Musk's AI chat box Grok
49:16is under scrutiny of
49:18Government of India
49:20The Information and Technology Ministry has expressed concerns
49:22with X over the use of provocative language
49:24by Grok and we'll look into
49:26factors leading to this
49:28Grok which is embedded on
49:30X as a feature has grabbed
49:32attention of Indian social media users over
49:34its responses in
49:36unfiltered language
49:38When slangs went
49:40provoked the issue came to light
49:42when an X user's post on
49:44his interaction with Grok recently
49:46went viral. Government sources
49:48say that the government is engaging
49:50with X on Grok's responses
49:52Sources also say that the government
49:54has raised concerns with X on responses
49:56being generated by its AI chat box
49:58Grok. Meanwhile Elon Musk
50:00owned X has filed a legal
50:02petition in the Karnataka High Court
50:04arguing that the Indian government's use of

50:10Sahyog portal creates
50:12an unlawful and unregulated
50:14censorship mechanism that
