Corstorphine Dynamo FC officially took ownership in December last year of the empty modular building next to their home at the Tall Oaks Pitch. The club’s players and officials, along with help from the local community, have actually been working hard to bring the tired building back to life since March, 2024, with Tall Oaks Community Hub opening to the public in March, 2025.

00:00I went along to check out the recently opened new Tall Oaks Community Hub.
00:06After sitting empty for a number of years, this modular building, which had been on the
00:11site for 30 years, was in desperate need of some love.
00:15Over the past 12 months, everybody at Christophan Dynamo FC has worked tirelessly to bring it
00:21back to life with help from the local community, fixing leaks, repairing damage and creating
00:26a welcome home space for everyone.
00:28I spoke to the club's vice-chairman to find out more about how it was transformed.
00:32There's been a lot of hard work over the last 12 months from players within the club, coaches
00:39within the club and volunteers associated with the club in general.
00:45To get us to this stage, it's nice to see the building looking usable again and our
00:50hope for the building as we move forward is that as many different groups from within
00:54the community have a space that they can utilise and flourish in.
01:00The new hub is just part of Christophan Dynamo's wider redevelopment plans as the club celebrates
01:05its 10th year.
01:08They plan to change their pitch to an all-weather 11-a-side pitch with three 5-a-side pitches
01:13and a pavilion.
01:14Ian explained more.
01:16As we move forward, we envisage this building won't be used for footballing purposes.
01:24We hope that this will be community use only.
01:28The wider plans include regeneration of Tulloch's facility to include a synthetic 11-a-side
01:35pitch and pavilion, as you can see from the pictures behind me.
