00:00Andhra Pradesh's Minister Aslaming Jaganmohan Reddy, the former Chief Minister, over the
00:04splurge on the Hill Palace which currently, remember, is facing violation charges of environment
00:10regulations.
00:11Lokesh says Jagan believed he will be in power for 30 years, could get away with anything.
00:18Green norms were violated, exchequer money was wasted.
00:22Also the Andhra Pradesh Minister says Jaganmohan Reddy renovated a tourism property.
01:30I want to bring in my colleague Apoorva Jaichandran on that.
01:33Remember, Apoorva had got us this exclusive report on your screen to really show us what
01:38this palace, so to say, a residential office complex looks like.
01:43Apoorva, tell me this, what is the Andhra Pradesh Minister's strategy looking like?
01:48Is the government set to take further action against Jaganmohan Reddy?
01:51Well, Pooja, it's at a conundrum in which Andhra Pradesh government is right now standing
01:57because one of the things that they have to worry about is not only what they have
02:02to do about this 500 crore worth of property that has been constructed this lavishly, you
02:10know, be it the Italian marbles, be it the tiling, be it the several multiple rooms that
02:17have been taking place in all grandeur from the imported furnishings and what not.
02:23They'll also have to look into the 200 crore fine that has been levied as well, you know,
02:31due to the environmental, alleged environmental violations when it came to the construction
02:37of this, you know, grand palatial structure there atop Rishikonda Hill.
02:43So all of this is something that the government will have to take into consideration.
02:47In fact, the government has been saying that, yes, they will open it out to the public,
02:51they will bring it out and see, you know, show them what kind of one man's, you know,
03:00whim and fancy this had been born from.
03:03But they're also going to go ahead.
03:05And the main question being, if the public is allowed to go into these properties, is
03:10it going to, you know, be the same, or does that do any kind of a damage to the structures
03:15or anything which will further cause, you know, more loss of, you know, state extricates?
03:20So all of these are something that the state government will have to look into.
03:24In fact, the Angstude Chief Minister, Narendra Maharaj, who had earlier on also stated how
03:29it had been a massive loss for the people, you know, that this kind of a palatial structure
03:36was built.
03:37In fact, Loke Shetre, you know, the IT minister, has also gone on and stated that, you know,
03:43it was...
03:44Kabur, what you're telling us, could the government be escalating if they're saying that a penalty
03:47for this personal scourge has been put on the state?
03:51What action then will the new government take against Jaganmohan Reddy, who says it's all
03:55political vendetta being done against him?
