00:00All right, we'll kick start this edition with some news just coming in and this has got to do with former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's
00:06Palatial home is 500 crores. Sheesh Mahal is under scanner
00:10A political feud over opulent Andhra Pradesh palace. Jagan's hill palace violates green norms, crawls of death under Jagan
00:19Though Sheesh Mahal was prioritized
00:22Gold ascends to Italian marble in the hill palace. These are pictures right now of his palatial house
00:30questions are being raised on the
00:32500 floor palace built by Jagan Mohan Reddy
00:40I'm going straight across to my colleague Apoorva Jayachandran and getting us more details on that story this morning
00:47Apoorva talk to us about the kind of scrutiny on this palatial, you know house of Jagan Mohan Reddy
00:54What about the violations of environmental norms? Get us more details
01:00Well Sneha, in fact this entire building, let me remind you is spread across 9 point over 9.8 acres and is roughly
01:12Touted to be made at an expense of rupees 500 crores and what we are getting to learn is that
01:20There have been several, you know cases that had been filed especially regarding this because there had been
01:27Alleged environmental violations that had taken place
01:31given that the CRZ
01:34you know area out there there are several zones that zone 1 zone 2 zone 3 and
01:39The initial structure was given only for what was said to be a tourism
01:45Hotel or a tourism plaza as well what had to be developed and now what we are getting to learn is that
01:51This had been transformed into a residence come offices as well over 12 mega bedrooms
01:58And you know a 300 seater
02:02conference hall a 55 seater conference hall each of them is spread across four
02:08Major blocks that the residential block alone was three blocks. That is, you know
02:14Vijayanagara block a Vijayanagara block B Vijayanagara block C all of them that were only set for the residential
02:23You know accommodation for then former chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is what the Telugu Desam party has
02:29You know stated and not only that in fact
02:32There had also been several price points that had been put out for this extravaganza
02:37That had been constructed there
02:40Is not a very small amount especially given that the state of Andhra Pradesh has been a debt-ridden
02:47From now, but I'll be around from the TDP is also joining us this morning. Thank you for your time
02:52Your response now to the kind of spotlight that's there on this palatial bungalow
02:58500 crores spent on it and also
03:00environmental norms violations that are now being reported
03:05Yes, yeah. Good morning morning
03:08Till now in the past we have seen palaces of Saddam Hussein palaces of
03:13Gaddafi and today unfortunately in India you're seeing the palace that was built by Jagan Reddy
03:20to be used as his
03:22mansion
03:24For him to stay
03:25I mean if you look at the the entire world was shocked to look at the things after seeing the things that were
03:31You know placed inside for his personal use. Can you imagine you know?
03:36In a huge massage table for a chief minister
03:39Can you imagine the bathtub worth around 40 to 50 lakhs for a chief minister to you know?
03:44Have his bath with a ocean view the commode which are used were around 15 to 20 lakhs
03:51Spending 500 crores on his own palace when the state government state government is dealing under huge debt of more than 10 lakh crore
04:00Who will do that? It is only Jagan Reddy. I mean the entire world was shocked
04:05Instead of you know spending money on things that are useful for the people creating infrastructure
04:11That will be beneficial for the people. He had created now these kind of palaces for his own use
04:18When looting thousands of crores for his own, you know
04:23Money like this. So definitely one of the the kind of
04:28money that was wasted on these kind of
04:32Extra budget will be you know, this is the government are taking it very
04:37Seriously, and now it has become a very big question for us
04:40I mean how to now after being all this even to put it to a different kind of a use is a huge task for us
04:47So, I mean that is the reason why they're going to be was reduced from 151 to 11 feet
04:53Because people are going to do by the B Rahm. How is this government now going to probe this entire matter?
05:00Yeah, we have we have already initiated an inquiry
05:04The manner in which this money was wasted was spent so
05:08And already an inquiry is going on into this and also see after
05:14Spending so much of money. This is these maps until these buildings have to be put on alternate use
05:21Also, we cannot just leave them like that
05:22So that also has become a huge task for us women putting them to a different use
05:27How to use them because ultimately they have to be utilized in some way or the other
05:31After spending so much of public money, you can't just leave it like that. So that also has become a huge task
05:36So the government is also exploring various options on how to you know utilize them how to extract some kind of a revenue out of it
05:42So those kind of things are also being worked on. Yeah
05:46I'm gonna thank you for joining in with your views on that
05:49We'd also wait to hear from the YSR CP on how they look at the government
05:55The fact that the government is now going to probe this matter and of course
05:58Accountability needs to be fixed on at the end of the day whose money was spent was this from the taxpayers money?
06:03What about the exchequer?
06:04What about the coffers running empty in a state which is cash strapped already a ground report filed by my colleague Apurva?
06:11Let's take a look
06:26Or see to be 50 last each cozy interior design at a cost of rupees 33 crores
06:34imported furniture
06:36Spatial washrooms with commodes each costing rupees 15 last
06:41landscaping with exotic imported plants and advanced sound system a homogenous
06:48Home
06:50Among several of the features the design which has been spread across these four major
06:58blocks see lavish chandeliers
07:01conference rooms and
07:03Several amenities that have been set up right from the corner of the CMO
07:09Apurva getting in those details the poor we just saw, you know, your ground report
07:13It's absolutely mind-boggling on how the the former chief minister has you know
07:19Made this house for himself. It's palatial plastic violates environmental norms. I just want to ask you what's been their argument?
07:26What's been their defense?
07:31Well, in fact the YSRCP we just spoke to the former senior minister there
07:37Yesterday we're talking about Rishikonda
07:39He says that you know
07:41It all has been done as per protocol that had been a three-member committee that had been set up to inspect the area
07:48To look into all possible norms and regulations the YSR
07:52The YSRCP on their stand go ahead and say that they haven't violated it
07:56Not only that the most important question that the TDP is now battling towards is that what will now happen to this place?
08:03Remember, it's not you know an office building that that we're seeing it's something that looks like a very grand home as well
08:10You know from the bathtub to the you know
08:13a gold accent interiors and whatnot all and a private helipad all of this that had been you know,
08:20Constructed and now what the question that comes for the TDP government is what are they going to do with this kind of a building?
08:26And this kind of a structure that has been built atop the hill amidst, you know allegations of
08:33You know environmental violations the YSRCP there just says that you know
08:37It's it's not that hasn't been any violations number one number two
08:41The state government can in fact go ahead and put it out for either VVIPs who come in be it from you know
08:48the center, you know from the
08:50Center be the president the prime minister or the home minister who happened to be visiting
08:54Vizag as it is one of the important naval coast regions out here, you know
08:58They can either come here and you know, we reside at the Rishikonda Palace is what the YSRCP is saying
09:05In fact, they also go on and claim that the TDP led NDA government is yet to find a solution for this
09:12when there's already a solution at hand this kind of a structure is meant for you know,
09:19Top VVIPs who are coming into Vizag
09:23Time and again and that this can be a perfect opportunity to use to showcase that
09:28Andhra Pradesh is one such state that has all of these amenities for the dignitaries
09:34That's the con you know, that's the argument that the YSRCP is putting across
09:38They're saying that yes, all of this was constructed at grand taste, but there isn't any environmental violations
09:45More so over we had a three-member, you know
09:47We had a three-panel team that had been constituted to look into this and that this wasn't just for you know
09:54The former chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy's use but the YSRCP rather claims that this is you know
10:00Just to ensure that this is the kind of grandeur that Andhra Pradesh stands for. Stay on
10:06I'm going to leave it at that for the moment. Apoorva getting in that detailed report from Vishakhapatnam
10:11Apoorva had sent us this earlier. Take a look
10:13What you can see behind me is the Rishikonda Palace and the question that remains to be answered is what happens to the Rishikonda Palace after its construction for almost over three years back
10:33Sprawled across 9.8 acres and the construction alone worth over rupees 500 crores
10:40The TDP led India government after it had come to power in the recent victory in 2024
10:47The question remains as to what happens to this palatial structure that had been built atop Rishikonda Hills here in Vishakhapatnam by the Bay of Bengal and the sea
11:00What the more important question that raises is that each of these buildings that have been standing remain idle
11:08But the interiors and the exteriors likewise have been completely remodeled, refurbished and intricately designed to the likes of the YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his family
11:27As this was TDP allergist supposed to be the office cum residence of Jaganmohan Reddy had he shifted to Vizag post his victory in 2024
11:40The TDP led India government now has a mammoth task ahead as to see what happens to this palatial structure
11:48Is it going to be just remaining idle or is the public's funds be it over rupees 500 crores that had been spent on this building what goes of that money
12:03With video journalist Prasad at Rishikonda, Apoorva Jayachandran, India Today
12:08All amenities spread across in worth over rupees 500 crores
12:14This is going to be a huge toll for how the TDP led India government will go ahead and take forth a decision on this place
12:25A over 500 crore worth of residential cum office property at the sea facing view that you can see of the Rishikonda hill
12:36What is going to be the decision that will be taken that's a question for Mr Nair
12:42Alright we have some reactions coming in as far as this controversy surrounding Jaganmohan Reddy's house is concerned
12:48Let's take a listen
12:51For improving governance, improving anything, it is all public money, it is not a Zamindar using his property
12:58It is in a democracy and the people, the money belongs to the people
13:03I was in Andhra Pradesh government, I worked with prime ministers, I have worked with, but they all wanted expenditures to be low
13:11They all realized public money cannot be wasted
13:15But unfortunately here public money was plunged
13:19And that kind of Italian marble waste of money is a crime against the people of Andhra Pradesh
13:26We think probably Vishakhapatnam will be the biggest data center hub obviously towards the east of the country
13:33We need to give that confidence to all the investors who are coming down
13:37Probably the foundations laid by the YSR Congress party government and the leadership of YSR Jaganmohan Reddy
13:43I hope this government takes it forward and I hope the central government also will be a positive vibe to this issue
13:50Apoorva continues to be with us for more on that
13:53Apoorva take us to the details of what exactly are the violations on the environmental norms as far as this palatial bungalow is concerned
14:01What we do know is that there have been several violations that have been called into
14:12Specifically when you talk about this entire property that had been set up
14:19One of the important things that needs to be noted is that this is atop a hill there at Rishikonda
14:27It is just by the Bay of Bengal in fact from the entire palatial buildings that you can see
14:32You can have a sea view out there and that's what the building was in fact iconically built for
14:38And in fact several violations that has been raised is on the levels at which this had been constructed
14:46Not only that we are also getting to see that yes it had been said earlier on that this was supposed to be built
14:53At a 9.8 acres of land but then there had been additional construction that had taken place in and around the parameter there
15:01This apart from the debris from the construction that had been allegedly illegally dumped at the coastal sea base out there as well
15:11And that's what are several violations that had been picked up be it from the Jana Sena party leader there
15:18Or from the TDP or even environmental activists who have approached the courts to flag this for the public
15:28And to put a stop but the construction has been completed
15:31The sad part is that it's been almost over two years since the construction has been completed
15:38And it had been inaugurated as well in early 2024
15:42But one of the things is that the palace until now remains untouched
15:46There hasn't been any person who has been able to go inside
15:50There's been no staff, no people and even as it sits idle
15:55The worst worrisome part is that as it sits idle it still burns a hole in the public's pocket
16:03And that's the question that needs to be answered there
16:06There has been several allegations that the YSRCP has
16:09A moment from now on how this is being explained as far as the taxpayers money really is concerned
16:17Let's tell you a little about the splurge
16:18Interiors of the house was at the cost of 33 crore rupees
16:23And that's the kind of splurge that this palatial bungalow has seen
16:28Landscaping for 50 crore rupees
16:31That's the amount that has been spent
16:33Bathtubs, 40 lakh rupees on bathtubs
16:36That's the kind of money that has been spent in the bathrooms as well
16:39For commode 10 to 12 lakh rupees is what the estimate essentially is
16:44As far as Jaganmohan Reddy's bungalow is concerned
16:46Chandeliers 2 lakh rupees each
16:48And fort on castle AC 2 lakh rupees each for the air conditioners
16:54That's the kind of money that has been spent
16:56I'm just mind-boggling really Apoorva
16:59On how this was even allowed
17:02The taxpayers money at a time when the state is reeling under debt
17:07It's cash-strapped and that's the kind of expenditure
17:10On the former chief minister's and the then chief minister's bungalow
17:19Because you know we are seeing that this kind of a structure that had been built
17:25There had been three separate blocks for just the residential apartments
17:30This apart from an entire block for the security there
17:34The chief minister's office on the other side
17:37That has a 300 chair conferencing table
17:43This apart from multiple LED screens that have been set in place
17:48And across various parts of these buildings as well
17:53In fact when we went inside
17:54One of the first things that we noticed shockingly
17:57Was that most of the furniture
17:59Let me remind you all of these are imported furniture
18:03Be it from the upholsteries to the beds, the tables and what not
18:10All of them, some of them also remain to be still in the box
18:15That they were shipped in from
18:17They remain to be unopened just carrying on dust
18:21That's the worst part of it all
18:24Because one of the things is that
18:26If this building had been put to use
18:29Then by now this would have been sprawling
18:32And it would have made much money for the government as well
18:36And given that the state of this is still sitting idle
18:41And just gathering dust
18:42It definitely begs the question
18:44What is now going to happen to this building
18:47That had been constructed atop a hill
18:49That is construction alone costing over Rs 500 crores
18:54And the TDP led government as well
18:56Is going and questioning or is in battle
18:59As to what they need to go ahead and do with this
19:02Earlier on the YSRCP had said that
19:06Jaganmohan Reddy winning the 2024 elections
19:09He would shift to Vizag
19:11As Vizag was to be named as the capital of Andhra Pradesh
19:16And that Jaganmohan Reddy will shift his residence
19:18And offices to Visakhapatnam
19:20And that this would probably be a suitable location
19:24For Jaganmohan Reddy once the YSRCP chief
19:28Once he shifts to Visakhapatnam
19:30That's what had been stated
19:32But we're seeing that now with the TDP led government
19:36In power here and the capital as Amravati
19:39Yes, Visakhapatnam has been said to be transformed
19:43As the data city there
19:44Several innovations that are coming up now in Andhra Pradesh
19:47But 500 crores of public's money
19:50Allegedly spent on this kind of grandeur
19:55And this kind of arrangements that had been made
19:59Just for building over across 10 acres of land
20:05That's something definitely that looks to be in a very bad light
20:10Especially given that public's money had been used for this
20:14Absolutely, public money has been used for this
20:17Look at the pictures essentially of the palatial bungalow
20:20That has been set up by Jaganmohan Reddy
20:24Essentially the YSRCP is also going at all lengths to explain this
20:28But let's put this into a bit of a perspective for our viewers
20:31As far as the cash-strapped state is concerned
20:35Look at the kind of debt overall
20:37Look at the numbers essentially
20:40Which are completely mind-boggling when it comes to the state
20:43Over 974,000 lakh crore is the overall debt of the Naidu government
20:49Which is a white paper that was released last year
20:52Apart from that 4.3 lakh crore state debt
20:56And there is an 80,914 crore debt public accounts liabilities as well
21:03Apart from that 2.4 lakh crore corporations debt
21:07That is something that the government is dealing with
21:0936,000 crore civil supplies debt
21:12The state basically is neck deep in debt
21:17Apart from that 34,000 crore power sector debt
21:22That's the kind of money that the government has to essentially pay out
21:25Let's tell you a little about the deal that Jio and Starlink have signed at this point in time
21:30Jio signs a pact with Elon Musk's Starlink
21:33After rival Airtel and Jio's Starlink tie-up
21:37Starlink's satellite internet for India next
21:39Starlink awaits government not for India operations
21:43Is what we know at this point in time
21:45I am going to go straight across to Chetan Bhutani for more details
21:50Chetan take us through the contours of that deal
21:52What does this mean for broadband services in India
21:55Well the collaboration between Jio and SpaceX
21:58Starlink will bring high speed satellite internet to even the most remote
22:02And undeserved areas of the country
22:06Remote areas which lack fibre optic infrastructure will get high speed internet
22:10via Starlink's satellite based network
22:12This is crucial for education, healthcare and small businesses
22:15in regions with limited connectivity
22:17Jio already offers JioFibre, the wired broadband facility
22:21and JioAirFibre, the wireless broadband
22:23Starlink complements these services by ensuring connectivity in areas
22:27where even Jio's 5G and fibre networks can't reach
22:30More businesses, startups and freelancers will be able to operate online
22:34Improving economic opportunities
22:36And Starlink's direct-to-consumer model could have made its services
22:39expensive for individual users in India
22:41Whereas Jio and AirTel's partnership now
22:44will make it affordable, pricing and better distribution
22:47via Jio's retail network, making Starlink more accessible
22:51However, SpaceX still needs authorization from the Indian government
22:54to operate Starlink commercially
22:56And it of course has to be seen how
22:58Starlink will be affordable for rural users
23:01under the Jio's distribution model
23:03Right, I want to thank you for the moment
23:04Chetan Bhutani getting us up to speed with those details
23:07As far as that fact is concerned
23:09Starlink's satellite internet in India soon
23:12AirTel has signed an agreement with SpaceX
23:14to bring Starlink's satellite internet to India
23:17So faster broadband services is what one can expect
23:20The deal in fact depends on SpaceX getting approval
23:23from authorities to sell Starlink services in the country
23:27Apart from that, AirTel in fact, the company that has signed this deal
23:33with SpaceX may sell Starlink equipment in its stores
23:36and offer Starlink services to businesses
23:39They also plan to use Starlink to bring the internet to rural schools
23:42use it in healthcare centers and remote areas
23:46Starlink uses a constellation of 6,900 satellites
23:50to deliver high-speed internet
23:52It targets remote and undeserved areas
23:55aiming to provide global broadband coverage
23:58Starlink rollout in India comes after delays
24:01due to opposition from telecom giants like Jio
24:04regulatory challenges and security concerns
24:07over foreign broadband services
24:20More news coming in at this point in time
24:22The government of India has announced that it has arranged

25:26is what is being said by the Ministry of External Affairs
25:35India evacuates 266 Indians from Myanmar and Thailand
25:39is what we are learning
25:41The government of India has also made an announcement to this effect
25:44Indians remember were held captive
25:46Myanmar-Thailand border is what we know
25:49I'm going to go straight across in fact to my colleague
25:52and India today's foreign affairs editor Gita Mohan
25:56for more on that
25:57Gita, break this down for us
25:59The Indian government, the Ministry of External Affairs
26:01making their announcement that the repatriation has happened successfully
26:05Talk to us about this entire job scam as well
26:10that many Indians in fact fell prey to
26:14Well, this is a major story that India and Indian media houses
26:20have been covering for a while
26:22of scam centers operating near Myanmar and Thailand border
26:28There were Indians who were taken on the pretext of being given work
26:34and then ended up in these scam call centers
26:38There are about 280 Indians who were then later rescued
26:43and are now being or have been repatriated
26:47From the border towns of Mae Sot
26:50266 men and 17 women is what we are given to understand
26:55A second group of 257 again will be brought home on Tuesday according to reports
27:05The fact that there are so many Indians who have been
27:09or who have gone to Southeast Asian countries
27:12against finding work, looking for work
27:15and on the pretext of being offered jobs
27:18but end up in these scam compounds
27:21where it's a criminal industry, a multi-billion dollar industry
27:26where these Indians were lured with lucrative wages
27:34but finally after being stuck over there
27:37most of them, their passports taken away
27:40There was a call considering this was in fact a humanitarian crisis
27:46The government intervened
27:48and finally many of the Indian workers have been rescued
27:52who were being held in a limbo in many ways
27:57Absolutely
27:58and now finally have been repatriated to India
28:01This is a big development that's coming in
28:04when it comes to how India has worked with these two countries
28:08to ensure that Indians who are stuck in these scam centers are brought back
28:12Alright Geeta, I'm going to thank you for the moment
28:14for getting in those details
28:15My colleague Geeta Mohan
28:16and remember India Today had exposed this entire job con racket
28:20this scam in which many of these Indians
28:23about 283 Indians were trapped in the fake job scam in Myanmar
28:28Now they have been rescued
28:30says the government of India Today
28:31was at the forefront of reporting on this big story
29:09involving Karnataka starlet Rania Rao
29:12and co-accused hotel sign Tarun Raju
29:15India Today has decoded how Rania Rao was busted
29:19She was intercepted at the airport
29:21questioned but did not admit to
29:23carrying any dutiable goods
29:25It's during a personal check that gold was found
29:28on a waist cop's shoes
29:30in pockets worth over 12 crore rupees
29:32A raid at a residence led to seizure of cash and jewelry
29:36We have also accessed Rania Rao's wedding pictures
29:39showing Chief Minister Siddarmaya
29:41and Home Minister Jee Parmeshwar in attendance
29:46The smiling couple
29:47Now the probe agency will now analyze
29:50wedding footage, guest list, expensive gifts
29:53high profile links for any connection to the smuggling syndicate
29:56Lens also now on Rania's architect husband
29:59Jatin Hokeri
30:00allegedly who took frequent trips to Dubai
30:04and cops will be probing if he had any role to play
30:07Meanwhile the BJP and Congress
30:09continue to lock horns on this entire matter
30:33BJP is involved in any kind of
30:35that's a small criminal activity
30:37Do you think any minister would be involved in that?
30:40Why do a minister get involved in small criminal activity?
30:44Okay, of some smuggler smuggling
30:46some amount of gold
30:48from some foreign country
30:50This is too derogatory
30:52I don't think so BJP should stoop to this level
30:55Anyhow their government in the center
30:57is controlling the investigation
30:59Let them come out fairly
31:01Then we'll debate, then we'll talk
31:03And the Karnataka gold smuggling scandal
31:06continues to unravel
31:07Now the cops are also probing
31:09the CBI and VRI
31:10Both are also looking into the case of Rania Rao
31:13because they found some international connection as well
31:16So is this just confined to Dubai and India
31:19or does the rot run deep further?
31:21Is there an international link involving Malaysia?
31:25That's a link that the investigating authorities
31:28are now looking at
31:32The web is unraveling in the Karnataka gold smuggling racket
31:40and the news is tightening
31:42on an international smuggling nexus
31:45Two accused, actor Rania Rao and her friend Tarun Raju
31:49are in the custody of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence
31:53Tarun is a Karnataka hotelier's grandson
31:56and is suspected to be the racket's co-conspirator
31:59Sources say Rania's phone calls to Tarun
32:02helped the DRI nail him down
32:04Sources say the two go way back as friends
32:07but despite strained ties later on
32:09they allegedly kept the smuggling operation going
32:12Tarun allegedly helped Rania carry out the Dubai operation
32:16The probe is deepening
32:18Dubai and Malaysian contacts were found on Rania Rao's phone
32:22triggering speculation she may have been involved in an international ring
32:27While the spotlight is back on Rania Rao's DGP stepfather Ramachandra Rao
32:32the Karnataka government ordered investigations by two different agencies
32:36First, the CID will be probing the DGP stepfather's role in the racket
32:41The next investigation will be against Ramachandra Rao's role
32:45in protocol violations at the Bengaluru airport
32:48and finally against the police personnel
32:51who aided Rania's smuggling by violating all protocol
32:54Whether Rania Rao had any help from political or police influences on the investigation
32:59Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar dismissed the DGP's charge of a Congress minister's role as political gossip
33:24International smuggling nexus
33:27Please disclose the name of the ministers
33:30who are involved in this gold smuggling case
33:34In what context they are blaming that we have got connections, I really don't know
33:38Smuggling is a different case
33:41If there is anything related to smuggling
33:44If there is any nexus, already the investigation agencies have come in force
33:48So we will have to wait and watch
33:50International smuggling nexus, the DGP stepfather's role, politicians and finally the police
33:57The stakes are high in this gold racket probe
34:00Bureau report, India Today
34:03International smuggling nexus, the DGP stepfather's role, politicians and finally the police
34:34Yesterday in Parliament, political parties in the opposition faced off with the government
34:39They were protesting as well
34:41The battle in the case of the National Education Policy has intensified further
34:46Backing the three-language policy under NEP
34:49Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan accused Stalin of being a hypocrite
34:54and trying to score political brownie points
34:56He has accused DMK of taking a U-turn over the policy
35:00DMK meanwhile continues with its criticism over language policy
35:04calling it a betrayal of Tamil
35:06and a policy that undermines the people of Tamil Nadu
35:10and the education model of Tamil Nadu
35:17What is the world saying?
35:19This time in 2026, the impact of multilingualism on global education is being discussed
35:25In 2023, multilingualism and job market in EU
35:29This is being discussed, where are we stuck?
35:32Is there any right?
35:34To take away someone's right, will we worship someone's language?
35:39At least Narendra Modi's government has never committed this sin
35:43nor will it do it in the coming days
35:45His statement, why restrict to just three languages?
35:49We will promote as many languages as possible
35:52In Andhra, we have a plan to promote over 10 languages
35:55including global language as part of the academic programs
36:22India doesn't know English, China knows Mandarin
36:25Israel knows Hebrew
36:27If my country's young people learn 5 languages of the world
36:31If my country's young people learn 5 languages of my country
36:34Why would I restrict anyone?
36:36I should not have any objection
36:38Still, I pay attention to someone's cultural sensitivity
36:42because I can understand the pain of DMK's friends
36:48Those who cheated in those days
36:51are still suffering
36:53They think this is still a three-language formula
36:56This is a three-language formula
36:58We have made this according to the needs of the world
37:01This has been done through consultancy
37:03In the coming days, it will be based on discussion
37:05No one can impose it on anyone
37:07It is unfortunate that DMK party
37:10once again raking up the issue of three languages
37:14in the school education curriculum
37:17The three-language concept is not introduced by BJP
37:21It was well before the BJP formed the government
37:25But unfortunately, the DMK party
37:28in view of the next assembly elections in Tamil Nadu
37:32they are raising this issue
37:34I hope the people of Tamil Nadu will understand it
37:37The union minister for education
37:40has written a letter to the chief minister
37:43that he has received a letter from the government of Tamil Nadu
37:47revising the earlier stand
37:50and saying that 2020 NEP will not be accepted by Tamil Nadu
37:54So, we have already categorically told
37:57considering a decision later on
38:00and revising it, well prior it
38:02and intimation, we have done it
38:04So, he cannot show a letter which was written prior
38:08and totally conceal a letter which was written later
38:11He has only one issue
38:13Hindi should not be forced on us
38:16We have our language
38:18Hindi learners read it
38:20But we should not impose it on us
38:22We should not impose it on us
38:24This is his view
38:25I urge the union government
38:28to reconsider and to analyse
38:31Again, they have to analyse and they have to make a research
38:34and they can amend the new education policy
38:38But still, as I am a student
38:42as I am a public
38:44I oppose the new education policy
39:08Shocking rage drive, speeding through the traffic
39:11It seems the car is completely out of control
39:14The SUV driver hits commuters and vehicles
