00:11Well the truth is many EV owners have done a bit of this and a bit of that. But

00:17from China overnight, a game-changer to make us all rethink our next new car. Say

00:22hello to flash charging, where you can reset an EV in about the same time it

00:27takes to refuel your car. Five minutes on the stand for 400 K's on the road.

00:33Well BYD claims it's done it in news that sent its share price soaring. The

00:38cars will land in China next month for about 60 grand each but expect to see

00:42them here. The only hurdle, well the chargers themselves finding a way to

00:47draw that much electricity without draining the grid and turning out the

00:52lights on EVs for all.
