Hey Fam! Here is the long awaited second YouTube video. I'm sorry this took over a month 👉🏻👈🏻, but I hope you guys enjoy the video! Also this is all speculation—and in my personal opinion—the only person who can really determine if these characters actually stay together is the author, so take this with a grain of salt. ✨💕
Also someone pointed it out that @newlynova on TikTok did a video on TikTok like this first, so full credits to them for this idea!
Anyways, let me know what videos you would like to see next! 🤭

00:00Hey YouTube! Long time no see! Um, remember me? I did say I was gonna post once a week,
00:07and that was a month ago. I'm back though, and I'm better than ever. And, um, welcome
00:11back to my YouTube channel! And if you're new here, hi my name is Cassie, welcome to
00:15the chaos. You better may know me... You may know me better as Cassie's Booktalk from TikTok,
00:21and I'm now on YouTube. Booktalk is literally in my username, and even though I'm not a
00:24booktalker anymore, I did start off as a booktalker, so I thought I would go back to my roots
00:29and do a little booktalk video. So I was trying to think of what to do, and you guys know
00:33those, like, tier ranking lists that everybody does? I thought it would be funny to do booktalk
00:38couples and rank them based off of how likely they are to get a divorce. And, um, it was
00:44a lot of them. So, let's jump right into it. Okay chat, so here is our tier ranking. So,
00:50these are all pretty self-explanatory, but I am gonna go over the categories they have.
00:53So the top one is literally soulmates in all caps. So these are the characters that in
00:58every single universe, they end up together. Like, they are destined to be together, they
01:01were born to end up together, and in no world are they ever going to get a divorce. So these
01:05are the best fictional couples ever, and it is the top ranking. And next we have happily
01:10married. So these are the characters that weren't, like, born to be together, like they're
01:13not soulmates, but they're perfect together. Like, they just make so much sense. And next
01:17we have content. Like, these are the characters that should probably get a divorce, but they're
01:22not going to. Like, they're stuck together. And then we have desperately need marriage
01:30counseling. So these are the characters that you're, like, low-key confused how they actually
01:34ended up together in the book, but they did. And they have, like, under-occurring themes
01:39of, like, low-key- is that a word? One sec. Under-occurring? Under-cutting.
01:53Okay. And they have, like, under-cutting. That does not sound like a newspaper ad. And
01:58then we have did they even like each other. Pretty self-explanatory. Like, I'm pretty
02:03sure these characters actually hated each other. And then next we have they 100% hated
02:07each other. Like, these are the characters that did actually low-key hate each other.
02:11Next we have didn't even make it five minutes past the epilogue. So these are the characters,
02:15like, the entire book you are preying on their downfall and hoping they break up for the
02:19sanity of everyone around them. But they never do. Last category we have is divorce
02:24in capital letters. So these are the characters that stood absolutely no chance from the beginning
02:28of the book. So let's get into it. Here are the books we have. So first, in honor of Onyx
02:32Strong coming out the other day, we have Fourth Wing. Honestly, I'm not gonna lie to you guys,
02:39like I don't remember any of the first two books. I am gonna read the third one. I have
02:44absolutely no memory of their relationship, just that they were doing it a lot. Um, so
02:50I'm gonna go with... I don't know. Happily Married, I guess? Happily Married Content?
02:59I don't- Happily Married. We'll just- we'll play it safe. They're happily married. Then
03:03we have It Starts With Us by Colin Hoover. Um, so sadly I did read this book when it
03:09came out, and what I remember from this book is that Atlas spent his entire wedding speech
03:14talking about divorce statistics. So right off the bat, it's really- it's not looking
03:19good for them. I'm gonna go with, um... Yeah, they didn't even make it five minutes past
03:24the epilogue. I fear that they immediately divorced. Next we have A Good Girl's Guide
03:29to Murder by Pippin Robbie. Are you kidding me? Literally soulmates? In no world do Pippin
03:32Robbie not end up together at the end of the book. They are destined, meant to be together.
03:37Okay, next we have Beach Read. Honestly, I don't really remember much from this book,
03:41but I just remember thinking that I just didn't really like them together. So I'm gonna go
03:46with Desperately Need Marriage Counseling. I don't remember them liking each other very
03:49much. I don't know if I'm misremembering the book. Next we have Underlock.
03:54Okay, I love Mariana Zapata. The male main character in this book made me so physically
03:59angry I wanted to jump through the pages of that book and duck him in the face. What an
04:05asshole. Um, anyways! Next we have Percy and Annabeth. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding
04:11me? Actually soulmates. Like, this is the best fictional couple of all time. They're
04:16meant to be together. I could talk about Percy and Annabeth for hours. Okay, next, Binding
04:2013, hear me out. I loved this series. Johnny and Shannon are obviously soulmates. They
04:25were born to be together. So, next! Chet and Me, okay. When I'm talking about Chet and
04:30Me, I'm talking about Aaron and Juliet. Obviously soulmates. Aaron and Juliet are honestly like
04:36the blueprint for so many book couples. Aaron Warner is the booktalk fan. You cannot make
04:41a booktalk video without mentioning Aaron Warner. So, obviously they're soulmates. Okay,
04:46next we have A Happened One Summer, and honestly, they stood no chance in hell. Divorce. Immediately.
04:50Like not even a second past the epilogue, they got a divorce. So. Next we have Icebreaker!
04:57Ooh, sadly I did read this book. Um. You know, I'm gonna go with Content. Like, oddly enough,
05:08they kind of make sense together. Like, everybody else around them is probably hoping they get
05:12a divorce, but they're not going to. They're never going to. So I'm gonna put them in Content.
05:17Yours Truly by Abbie Jimenez, one of my favorite books of all time. Are you kidding? Okay,
05:23I can't tell if they're soulmates or not. I feel like they just kind of stumbled upon
05:26each other, but they're the perfect couple. So I'm gonna put them in literally soulmates,
05:31because I feel like they were- what am I even saying? I don't- okay, next. I don't remember
05:37where it was going, that one. Um, do you guys know that? Michael Scott.
05:41Sometimes I'll start a sentence, and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along
05:45the way. Like an improv conversation. Improvisation. I feel that meme every single
05:53day of my life. The Hating Game. What- I think this may be the book I hate the most in this
05:58world. Um, they 100% hated each other. I mean, it's in the name of the book,
06:03The Hating Game. They despised each other. Okay, I read this this summer. When I tell you,
06:08I don't remember a single page of this book. I don't know why I put it here. Um,
06:12if I'm remembering correctly, the book starts off with them broken up. So I'm gonna put them
06:18in desperately need marriage counseling, because I think it was just one big miscommunication trope.
06:23Okay, both the Emily Henry books in there, that's great. Wild Love. Um, okay I love Elsie Silver,
06:30I remember not really vibing with this book. I don't know where to put this one. I think I'm
06:34gonna put them in divorce. Like I think, even though they were like good together,
06:38I think like 15 years down the road time. Divorce, babes. Divorce. Okay, next we have
06:46from Look Out With Love. Honestly, I would put them in any category, but the epilogue of this
06:52book was so adorable that I just have to put them in happily married. Like I don't think they were
06:57soulmates, but you know, they're definitely gonna end up together. Okay, A Love Letter to Whiskey,
07:02actually soulmates. Are you kidding me? This book is absolutely crack. Like in no universe are they
07:06not ending up together. Just the pull, the tension between them, like they're literally magnets. So,
07:11they're soulmates. Okay, The Fine Print. I hated the main character in this one. I hated both of
07:17them actually equally. They were equally hated. Okay, divorce or they didn't even make it.
07:22They're divorce encounters. Sorry. They're not making it. The Deal. Okay, if The Legacy didn't
07:29exist, they would probably be in the literally soulmates category, but I'm gonna go with- they
07:34desperately need marriage counseling, but like they're going to end up together. Like they just
07:38need some communication. They need a therapist after The Legacy because Garrett was a little-
07:43kind of a little shit in that book. So he's- Garrett, you put yourself in this category or else you'd be in the soulmates category. So, deal with it. I'm addicted to you. I'm rereading this series right now. So good. Soulmates, Lily and Lo.
07:58Literally all of the couples in this series are soulmates. They're meant to be together, so they're
08:03all going in that category, but we're just gonna put Lily and Lo in there for now. Okay, The
08:06Summaries Are Pretty. So if you've been around my account for a long time, you know how OBSESSED I am with the show. So you know I am qualified to talk about this. I also read the books. Now,
08:19Belly and Conrad in the show, they're actually soulmates. They are going to end up together.
08:23There's no doubt in my mind that Jenny Han is gonna have them end up together. There's just
08:27no way they're not going to. Like they're actually soulmates. They're meant to be together. In the
08:30books, however. In the books. I'm gonna put them in did they even like each other. I really don't
08:36think either of them liked each other. Like so many parts of the book you wonder if like they
08:40actually secretly hate each other and I think they did, so. Okay, next we have the entire Twisted
08:45series. So, the first one. I'm gonna put them in Desperate Lady Marriage Counseling because they
08:51definitely had their issues. I don't really remember much of this book, but they're gonna
08:55go in that one. Twisted Games, Happily Married, obviously. I'm kind of in between putting them in
08:59soulmates, but I don't quite think they're soulmates. I just think they're perfect together.
09:02And Reese is literally the only Twisted man that I did not want to throttle throughout this book.
09:08Um, next we have Twisted Hate. You know, I think they desperately need marriage counseling, but I
09:12think they do end up together. And Twisted Lies, they're happily married. Like, so that's actually
09:17a pretty good poll for the Twisted series. That's almost too good. One of them has to go. Like,
09:21they can't all be really good. Um, and then A Court of Thorns and Roses. Ooh, I'm not a huge fan
09:33of Reese Anne. Sorry, I'm more of an Asriel girl. Um, you know, while they're like literally soulmates
09:39by fantasy definition, like mates is like actually soulmates, so I'm not gonna say they're not. But
09:45they just really need marriage counseling. Like, I don't know what the hell happened in the last
09:48book, but it was a rough one for Reese Anne and, um, Feyre, or however you say it. It was real rough.
09:55So that is our final ranking! Um, these actually did way better than I thought they would. I kind
10:00of doubted some of these, but here is my ranking of booktot couples and how likely they are to get
10:05a divorce. So we actually have four that are for certain getting a divorce, but yeah. Um, let me
10:12know if you guys have any other books you want me to rank or any other videos you want me to do,
10:17and I promise I will try to be faster than a month. No promises.
10:23I kind of have some ideas of what videos I want to do next, but let me know what you want to see,
10:27um, and I will try to do it. But for now, thank you for watching this video. Thank you for
10:32watching my channel, I guess. I don't know. And subscribe! Um, bye, I guess. I don't know. See you next time!
