00:00The Department of Budget and Management, or DBM, approved the issuance of a budget for the subsistence allowance of military personnel
00:07that amounts to more than Php 16 billion.
00:11This is after President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ordered to increase the subsistence allowance and implement it retroactively
00:20based on the executive order passed by President Marcos, Jr. on March 14, 2025.
00:26The subsistence allowance will increase by Php 350 per day from the previous Php 150 from January 1, 2025.
00:35This will be received by the official and enlisted personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,
00:40including the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy,
00:46as well as the Philippine Marines and the General Headquarters.
00:50The trainees and probationary second lieutenants or ensigns will also be accepted,
00:55as will the reserve officers and enlisted reservists who are used to the assembly or mobilization test,
01:03citizen armed forces, geographical units, and cadets.
