00:00PTVI Palita is back now with the National Security Council's statement that the government will not be able to divide the National Task Force to End Global Communist Armed Conflict or NTF-ELCAC.
00:18According to NSC Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. recognized the success of the task force to end the activities of the CPP-NPA-NDF.
00:31Malaya gave the NTF-ELCAC programs and operations to weaken the forces of the rebels and to completely end terrorism in the country.
00:42A party called for a complete division of the NTF-ELCAC.
00:48President made it clear today that he will never abolish the NTF-ELCAC.
00:53The President, as chairman of the NTF-ELCAC himself, recognizes the success of the task force in decimating the terroristic activities of the CPP-NPA-NDF.
01:06If I may quote the President this morning, I'm encouraged by the reports. Our efforts are bearing fruit. We have to continue. It has been successful and we need to continue to invest in its success.
01:21The Office of the Ombudsman laughed at the 6-month preventive suspension without pay of the incumbent Marikina City Mayor Marci Teodoro
01:30and 18 other city councils due to the misuse of PhilHealth funds.
01:37Based on the complaint, Teodoro used PhilHealth's 130 million pesos fund,
01:44which has nothing to do with the injustice against the Universal Health Care Act.
01:49The petitioner, Professor Sofronio Dulay, thanked the Ombudsman for not responding.
01:57The government was blindfolded. He asked for the money to be returned to PhilHealth
02:03because it was clearly stated that it was used for other problems and actions of Teodoro and other LGUs in Vietnam.
02:12Meanwhile, Teodoro read the statement and said that it was just a form of politics to him.
