00:15The Department of Agriculture is now banning the increase in the price of eggs in the market.

00:21This is followed by a drop in the supply of eggs due to some diseases that affected the chickens,

00:25including Inclusion Bad Hepatitis or IBH and Infectious Laryngotracheitis or ILT.

00:32Some of the reasons for the so-called diseases are the breed environment,

00:35diet, and stress level of the chickens.

00:38There are many factors. Normally, 95% is good.

00:43It means that one layer of egg is produced once a day.

00:52Sometimes, it won't produce eggs. It depends on the problem or the environment.

00:58According to the DA, the production of eggs from poultry farms does not reach 90%.

01:04According to Central Luzon and Southern Tagalog, these are the so-called diseases.

01:08But the government insisted that these are common diseases of the chickens

01:12and it is easy to control because there are medicines available for this.

01:16I am now in an egg room in Santa Maria, Bulacan.

01:20According to the owner, the supply of eggs is enough and the chickens are not sick.

01:25But they are reluctant to enter poultry farms so that no diseases can enter.

01:31Although the price of eggs is partially increasing,

01:34according to the DA, its price should not reach 12 pesos.

01:38This is followed by some stores that sell eggs for 12 pesos large.

01:44The prevailing price of medium eggs is only 8 pesos based on the DA's fixed price.

01:49On the other hand, the decrease in the supply of eggs due to diseases

01:53has led many parents to enter the layer industry.

01:56The earlier projection in the egg board and the layer industry

02:02is that the performance should be good.

02:05But at the same time, the industry also has regular culling

02:12so that they can control their production.

02:15Meanwhile, the DA is just waiting for the release of the Certificate of Product

02:20for the controlled release of the Vaccine Against Avian Influenza or Bird Flu.

02:24The document was submitted to the FDA last March 12.

02:28So it's in the FDA and hopefully very soon they can issue already the CPR,

02:33the Certificate of Product.

02:35In May, the commercial rollout of the Vaccine Against African Swine Fever is expected.
