00:00Good morning to all, it is now March 14, 2025 and I have here an update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:13The easterly breeze is still blowing from the Pacific Ocean
00:18and we can see here in our satellite animation that there is almost no cloudiness in a large part of our country.
00:26This is just one example here in the area of Eastern Visayas where our countrymen will experience a high chance of rain, snowfall, and thunderstorms throughout the easterly.
00:37Meanwhile, most of our country continues to experience hot weather especially in the afternoon
00:45and there is a possibility of isolated rains and thunderstorms.
00:50We can see that this type of weather will continue this coming weekend but by next week, possibly by Monday,
00:58we will have another surge of Northeast monsoon, or AMIHAN, where this will have an effect, especially here in a large part of Northern Luzon.
01:08At the moment, we are not monitoring any typhoons or low-pressure areas that may have an effect here in our country.
01:17And for the weather forecast for this afternoon,
01:21here in a large part of Luzon, including Metro Manila, our skies will be partly cloudy.
01:28We will still experience hot weather especially in the afternoon
01:33and we still have a possibility of isolated or sudden rains, snowfall, and thunderstorms throughout the easterly.
01:40Our regional offices are issuing thunderstorm advisories regarding this type of rain.
01:47The temperature in Metro Manila is around 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
01:52In Tuguegarao, the maximum temperature may reach up to 33 degrees Celsius.
01:57Meanwhile, in Tagaytay and Legazpi, it is up to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:03In Talawag, it is 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:05And in Baguio, it is 16 to 25 degrees Celsius.
02:11Meanwhile, in Visayas and Mindanao,
02:14the eastern part of Visayas will experience a cloudy sky
02:19and a high chance of rain, snowfall, and thunderstorms throughout the easterly.
02:24So be careful for our countrymen there in the possibility of floods and landslides.
02:30Meanwhile, in the southern part of Visayas,
02:33even in the whole part of Mindanao,
02:35we will only experience isolated rains, snowfall, and thunderstorms throughout the easterly.
02:43The temperature in Tacloban is around 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:48The maximum temperature in Puerto Princesa, Iloilo, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro may reach up to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:57In Kalayaan Islands, it is 33 degrees Celsius.
02:59Meanwhile, in Davao, it is 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:03And in Zamboanga, it is 23 to 34 degrees Celsius.
03:09And for our countrymen, we do not have a high gale warning.
03:14So our countrymen will experience a lot of floods and landslides,
03:17especially for those who have small sea vehicles.
03:22And for our heat index,
03:26yesterday, our highest computed heat index was 43 degrees Celsius in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
03:34And it was followed by 42 degrees Celsius in Apari, Cagayan, Cuyo, Palawan, and Cotabato City, Maguindanao.
03:42Meanwhile, here in Metro Manila,
03:44our computed heat index yesterday was 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.
03:50Meanwhile, today, our forecast heat index here in Metro Manila
03:55may range from 37 to 39 degrees Celsius.
04:00And 44 degrees Celsius here in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
04:04And 42 in Cuyo, Palawan, and Cotabato City, Maguindanao.
04:09So generally, the time that we will experience in a large part of our country is still hot.
04:15So for our countrymen,
04:17when we go out, let's not forget to take care of ourselves in the direct heat of the sun.
04:23And as soon as possible, let's limit outdoor activities.
04:28And if we cannot avoid it,
04:30from time to time, let's rest and drink water
04:33so that we can avoid the dangers that can bring heat to our health.
