LPA to bring rain over Visayas, Mindanao; easterlies to cause hot weather across Luzon

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, March 27 said a low-pressure area (LPA) will bring rainy conditions to Visayas and Mindanao, while Luzon will experience hot weather due to the easterlies. 00:00We have a low-pressure area here in the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:10This is the last passage on the 220-kilometer-east line of Surigao del Sur.

00:16At the moment, the chances of this being a good storm are still low,

00:20but we expect that it will bring rains, especially here in Visayas and Mindanao.

00:27Meanwhile, we still have the easterlies or the hot and misty winds

00:31coming from the Pacific Ocean that are blowing here in the main Luzon.

00:35We expect that this will also bring hot weather.

00:40For our weather today, we will experience here in Luzon

00:44a hot and misty afternoon to afternoon with isolated rain showers

00:49or quick rains like localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

00:57The temperature for Metro Manila is 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.

01:01Lawag is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

01:04For Togigaraw, we expect 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.

01:08Baguio, 17 to 26 degrees Celsius.

01:11Saligaspi, 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.

01:14At Tagaytay, 22 to 33 degrees Celsius.

01:18For Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao regions,

01:24we expect that they will experience a heavy downpour with scattered rain showers

01:30from this low-pressure area inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:35For the next few days, we expect that it will still bring rains,

01:40especially here in Visayas, and it is also possible that it will bring rains here in Palawan.

01:47The temperature for Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

01:53Iloilo, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

01:56For Cebu, we expect 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

01:59Tacloban, 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:02At Cagandeoro, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:06At Zamboanga and Davao, 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

02:11For our heat index, yesterday in Metro Manila, we recorded 36 to 39 degrees Celsius.

02:18And the highest we recorded was here in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, with 46 degrees Celsius.

02:2544 degrees Celsius here in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

02:2943 here in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.

02:32And 42 degrees Celsius here in Legazpi, Albay, Biracatan Juanez, and Pili, Camarines Sur.

02:40For our forecast for today's heat index, in Metro Manila, we expect 37 to 38 degrees Celsius.

02:47And the highest we can record is still here in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, with 47 degrees Celsius.

03:01Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.

03:03And 42 degrees Celsius here in Legazpi, Albay.
