00:00Comelec is now holding the source code from an international certifier that will be used in the online voting and counting system of overseas Filipino voters

00:18The International Certifier, ProVNV, has already sold this envelope

00:24that contains the source code that will be used for the online voting and counting system of overseas Filipino voters

00:30in the 2025 midterm elections.

00:33Here in Sabado, the untrusted build for the online voting and counting system was finished.

00:39Comelec continues to insist that it will not be allowed to be used in the election.

00:45The question now is, when Juan de la Cruz votes in America,

00:50will his vote be transmitted to the consolidation system?

00:56Will this be now accepted by the different entities?

01:01If it's a small issue that can be easily fixed, we're on the ground here for two weeks.

01:07We've got the ability to turn around and build it again and redeploy it if there is a problem.

01:12The enrollment of 1.2 million overseas voters in online voting will start from March 20 to May 7.

01:20Their voting period will be held from April 13 to May 12.

01:25At the same time, the system will verify if they are the ones who will be enrolled

01:30using their government issued ID, passport, seaman's book if they are marines.

01:37There are 16 elections in the world where online voting is not allowed by Comelec.

01:42That's why the commission will still send automated counting machines to these countries.

01:47This sealed source code of the online voting and counting systems will be hidden in the vault of Comelec.

01:53But it is also possible to transfer it to the vault of the Central Bank of the Philippines

01:57along with other source codes for the upcoming elections,
