00:00Good news for job seekers. Because of the thousands of opportunities that the Department of Migrant Workers will open this week,

00:06particularly for skilled workers who are dreaming of working abroad.

00:10Here is Dian Manalo with the report.

00:16As part of the more solid international cooperation and bilateral agreement between the Philippines and Hungary,

00:24good news for our countrymen who want to work abroad.

00:30Because of the 3,000 jobs that will be opened in Hungary

00:34in the upcoming Philippines-Hungary Friendship Week Job Fair of the Department of Migrant Workers this week.

00:40It is estimated that from 700 Euros to 1,000 Euros,

00:44or equivalent to more than 40,000 Pesos,

00:47up to more than 60,000 Pesos can be earned.

00:51Machine operators, welders, pipe fitters, hotel and restaurant workers, and factory workers will be included in the positions that will be opened.

00:59The Job Fair will be held in a mall in Mandaluyong City on March 11,

01:04from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

01:08This is in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

01:12to take care and protect the well-being of our overseas Filipino workers

01:18and to bring legit recruitment processes for our countrymen who want to work abroad.

01:25Applicants can register in the QR code posted on the DMW's social media account

01:30for a faster process of application.

01:34Aside from the Job Fair, the Philippine-Hungary Exhibit and Bazaar will also be opened.

01:39Cultural performances from both countries will be held,

01:42such as Kamustahan with OFWs in Hungary and Film Viewing.

01:46The agency is still trying to prevent the temporary recruitment of illegal recruiters and human traffickers.

01:54First of all, we need to ensure that there is proper work.

01:59This means that the process of recruiting is proper,

02:06so that our countrymen will not become victims of illegal recruiters

02:13because we have legal recruitment agencies.

02:17Meanwhile, 44 repatriated OFWs from Israel arrived in the country last week.

02:2536 of them are women, 6 are men, and 2 are dependents.

02:31This is still part of the repatriation program of the government.

02:35They received financial assistance from the Action Fund of the DMW

02:40and welfare assistance from the Overseas Workers' Welfare Administration, OWA.
