Non siamo in grado di prevedere con precisione cosa succederà nel futuro, ma siamo in grado di dire molte cose, che devono tener conto di tutte le incertezze di cui siamo a conoscenza. Una stima ragionevole relativa all'accadimento di eventi catastrofici naturali deve tener conto in maniera adeguata delle incertezze”. Così, Warner Marzocchi, Professore di Geofisica e Natural hazard forecasting, Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, al convegno plenario di disseminazione del progetto Return intitolato “Sfide scientifiche e gestionali per una società resiliente ai rischi ambientali in un clima che cambia”.
